Growths for captured units?

My first (and most common) guess is that units you capture have base class growths. But based on numerous occasions of levelling, I seriously doubt that. So, what's the deal?

From what I've gathered, captured units do indeed only have base class growths. Except for some capturable bosses. They have personal growths as well...

I'm using a Priestess and I'm getting not-terrendabad stats per levels. With 10% growths, I shouldn't be getting anything, let alone the more-common Mag/Luck/Res. A little less often on Spd (about 40% of the time or so). I've even been getting Str levels, even if they're like 1 in 5 (which sure as hell doesn't scream 5% Str growth).

Your guess is incorrect and your instincts are right.

You need to add those onto the class bases like with other characters.

Just like regular units, generic units have base growths that are added to class growths.

So, uh, yeah. Had no idea it would be under the 'Other characters' section. Could've sworn I checked most of that section. welp

EDIT: While we're on subject, what's the point of bribing if you can get them for free?
