Let the rigging begin!

Ch. 11 - 7/7
Eliwood eats Energy Ring (Dorcas gave it to him) and goes left to Seize. Becky visits Village for Dracoshield and kills an Brigand.

Ch. 12 - 7/14
Eliwood does most of the work here. Becky cleans up some enemies. Hector and Oswin kill the enemies near them. Oswin gets some Iron Swords while Lowen gets some Vulneraries just incase. Switch weapons around so meatshield prep for next chapter is easier.

Ch. 13 - 6/20
Eliwood crosses the River to kill Boies. Becky pays a visit to Merlinus. Serra healed the meatshields and Matt gets Killing Edge

Ch. 13x - 7/27

Let my start presenting my most likely subobtimal strategies. I hate rigging for good level ups, but I soon realized that doing so will save me a ton of turns in the early chapters.

Chapter 11 7/7

Eliwood attacks the first brigand with Marcus' Steel Sword and kills him on enemy phase. Dorcas shows up on turn 2, but won't contribute much during this chapter. He is manly used to clear some away some enemies so that Eliwood can keep on moving forward. After his job is done, he visits the village and eats the Draco Shield. I traded Bartre's weapons to him and used Bartre to give the Energy Drop to Eliwood, who uses it on turn 3. After that, Eliwood keeps walking to the boss and kills him on turn 6 enemy phase.

This strategy is not very reliable, as Eliwood needs to dodge most of the attacks thrown at him, each of them at around 40-50 hit. He can't use a vulnerary on turn 3, as he needs to eat the Energy Drop during that turn in order to 2HKO the brigands with an Iron Sword.

Eliwood: Lv. 4.95 21 hp / 9 str / 6 skl / 9 spd / 8 luck / 5 def / 0 res C swords

Dorcas: Lv. 3.73 30 hp / 7 str / 7 skl / 6 spd / 3 luck / 5 def / 0 res C axes

Chapter 12 8/15

Eliwood soloed the bottom part of the map while Dorcas killed of the soldiers and the archer in the north. I didn't get the Secret Book because training Dorcas seemed more important. Dorcas needs to get to at least 9 speed by chapter 14 to make him double the enemies there, which I managed to get during this chapter.

Eliwood: Lv. 7.52 23 hp / 11 str / 8 skl / 11 spd / 8 luck / 6 def / 0 res B swords

Dorcas: Lv. 6.21 33 hp / 9 str / 8 skl / 9 spd / 5 luck / 5 def / 0 res C axes

Chapter 13 6/21

Eliwood wades through the river to get to the boss by turn 5. Dorcas goes towards the Merlinus village to get the gaiden chapter. Dorcas has enough strength to break the snags in one hit with his Steel Axe, which allows him to get into action much earlier. Eliwood stand in front of the boss on turn 5 in order to kill the boss on enemy phase. He needs to hit on both attacks at around 70 hit and one of those attacks need to crit. Eliwood also needs at least 18 HP remaining to survive an attack from the boss. In addition to that, Dorcas needs to kill the mercenary below the Merlinus village before turn 5, which includes hitting on two attacks at less than 60 hit, so that he can then kill the Archer near the castle, who would otherwise kill Eliwood. All this combined makes this strategy rather unreliable. On turn 6, Matthew recruits Guy to for his Killing Edge.

Eliwood: Lv. 9.27 24 hp / 11 str / 10 skl / 13 spd / 10 luck / 7 def / 1 res B swords

Dorcas: Lv. 6.60 33 hp / 9 str / 8 skl / 9 spd / 5 luck / 5 def / 0 res C axes

I was actually ghosting your team earlier, and iirc, there are some cavaliers in Chapter 14 with 6 speed. I actually needed 11 speed on Dorcas since I forgot to buy Iron Axes in Chapter 12 and had to use the Steel Axe to kill things instead haha.

EDIT: Got Harken instead of Karel and finished in 173 turns. Jerme's map took 18 turns. Fuck Jerme.

Chapter 11 7/7 turns

Could've got a 6 turn but I needed two crits in a row to muscle through birgands, I hope the rest of the playthrough won't require too much rigging. Eliwood got the Energy Ring and speed from all three of his levels.

Chapter 12 7/14 turns

This was tricky, Eliwood had to get two levels with speed and get a lucky hit on an archer. The latter failed but Bartre got a very lucky hit on said archer.

Chapter 13 7/21 turns

Another tough one, Eliwood had to have most of his health by the time he got to the boss and either dodge two turns and hit him four times or get a crit. Bartre hasn't done much combat-wise so far.

Chapter 13x 8/28

Experience. Mostly Eliwood's.

Chapter 14 12/40

I don't know if there's really a proper way to do this with just two characters. Bartre was able to one shot every soldier, archer and pirate with a steel axe so that really helped.

Eliwood: 14.14 HP 28 Str 14 Skl 12 Spd 16 Lck 12 Def 9 Res 5
Bartre: 9.10 HP 35 Str 14 Skl 7 Spd 5 Lck 4 Def 6 Res 2

I did chapter 15 but I think I can shave a turn, so I'll probably redo it. Bartre got much needed skill and speed so it won't be that big of a deal if I can't do it better.

Just as an update I did play ahead (why I didn't pick Louise) I'm at 130 turns through 25. Most of the chapters have been "Oswin smash, Eliwood chip". I need to come up with a plan to save the boots and get the gaiden, thinking I'll just run down the left and shoot Eli right to get Nino when I hit that path.

Chapter 13x 8/29

Experience. Mostly Eliwood's.

You don't need to add that extra turn the game adds to defense chapters for your logs. Should be 7/28

Update time.

Chapter 13x 7/28
Uneventful. Trained my two characters, especially Dorcas, to allow me to handle the next chapter more easily.
Eliwood: Lv. 11.27 26 hp / 12 str / 12 skl / 14 spd / 11 luck / 7 def / 2 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 8.18 34 hp / 10 str / 9 skl / 10 spd / 6 luck / 5 def / 1 res B axes
Chapter 14 8/36
Dorcas charges west towards Eric while Eliwood picks of the enemies in the back. I decided not to deploy Merlinus to make the two cavaliers in the east attack Eliwood instead. This might not have been neccessary in hindsight. Dorcas was able to 2HKO Eric before the rain rolled in. I didn't recruit either Erk nor Pricilla, as I won't be needing them.
Eliwood: Lv. 12.56 27 hp / 12 str / 12 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 7 def / 2 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 12.17 37 hp / 13 str / 12 skl / 11 spd / 6 luck / 5 def / 2 res A axes
Chapter 15 7/43
My two characters take the shorter path through the mountains, Dorcas leading the way. I realized that while my Dorcas has gotten really good offensive level ups, his survivability is awful, so he relies a lot on luck surviving the assault by 6 enemies on turn 3. After surviving the initial wave of enemies, the path to Bauker is very straight forward. Dorcas kills him in on turn 7 in order to allow Eliwood to seize. Lyn and her friends visit the armories to buy a lot of Iron Swords, Iron Axes and Hand Axes, which will hopefully last me throughout most of the game.
Eliwood: Lv. 13.20 28 hp / 13 str / 12 skl / 16 spd / 13 luck / 8 def / 1 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 15.38 40 hp / 15 str / 13 skl / 12 spd / 8 luck / 5 def / 2 res A axes
Chapter 16 11/54
This was probably the most difficult chapter so far. I would have liked to get the Hero Crest for Dorcas, but with only two units, I could not find a way to get it without spending at least 4-5 turns while also most likely skipping the gaiden chapter. However, I think this will work out better in the long run, promoting Dorkas now would only save around 1 turn in each of the upcoming chapters, while missing chapter 16x would make me lose at least 6 turns. I will get the Hero Crest in chapter 20. If Dorcas had either more stenght or more defense, I may have been able to clear the chapter in 10 turns.
Eliwood: Lv. 14.00 29 hp / 13 str / 12 skl / 17 spd / 13 luck / 8 def / 3 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 19.10 43 hp / 17 str / 14 skl / 14 spd / 11 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes
Chapter 16x 4/58
Pretty self explanatory. Dorcas can't reach Fargus in 3 turns being unpromoted, so I had to take an additional turn. Gave Canas' Secret Book to Dorcas.
Eliwood: Lv. 14.18 29 hp / 13 str / 12 skl / 17 spd / 13 luck / 8 def / 3 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 20.00 44 hp / 18 str / 15 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes
Chapter 17 4/62
A rather easy chapter. Dorcas goes straight for the boss and kills him on turn 4 while Eliwood help clearing a path for him.
Eliwood: Lv. 15.94 30 hp / 14 str / 13 skl / 17 spd / 14 luck / 8 def / 3 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 20.00 44 hp / 18 str / 15 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes
Chapter 18 7/69
Both my characters moved towords Uhai. I think I could have cleared this chapter in 5 turns if Dorcas was promoted and had a little more speed. Even without that, I 6 turn clear would have been possible, but Dorcas would need to crit Uhai at 4% while having around 50 hit.
Eliwood: Lv. 17.78 31 hp / 15 str / 14 skl / 18 spd / 14 luck / 9 def / 4 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 20.00 44 hp / 18 str / 15 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes

Chapter 18x 6/75

This is the fastest I could have done with my 5 movement characters. Dorcas has to hit Aion twice at 50-60 hit to anable the 6 turn clear.

Eliwood: Lv. 18.53 32 hp / 15 str / 14 skl / 18 spd / 15 luck / 10 def / 4 res A swords

Dorcas: Lv. 20.00 44 hp / 18 str / 15 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes

Chapter 19 6/81

Eliwood and Dorcas charge towards Darin. Dorcas was unable to get to where he needs to be to enable a 5 turn clear. Eliwood reaches level 20. I also was unable to get the Brave Bow without losing at least 2 turns. I wonder if this will hurt me later on.

Eliwood: Lv. 20.00 33 hp / 17 str / 16 skl / 19 spd / 15 luck / 11 def / 4 res A swords

Dorcas: Lv. 20.00 44 hp / 18 str / 15 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 8 def / 2 res A axes

Chapter 20 4/85

Since I didn't get the Hero Crest in chapter 16, I had to use Matthew to steal the Hero Crest from Oleg. This cost me a turn, as I needed to protect Matthew and I couldn't kill Oleg on enemy phase. At least Dorcas gets to promote now.

Eliwood: Lv. 20.00 33 hp / 17 str / 16 skl / 19 spd / 15 luck / 11 def / 4 res A swords

Dorcas: Lv. 20.00/1.00 47 hp / 19 str / 19 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 11 def / 5 res A axes

Ninian: Lv. 1.40 14 hp / 0 str / 0 skl / 12 spd / 10 luck / 5 def / 4 res

Chapter 21 2/87

Dorcas walks down to Euband and murders him with a Halberd. I used Isadora's Angelic Robe on Ninian. Eliwood acts as an insurance in case Dorcas misses one of the enemies blocking his path.

Eliwood: Lv. 20.00 33 hp / 17 str / 16 skl / 19 spd / 15 luck / 11 def / 4 res A swords

Dorcas: Lv. 20.00/2.86 48 hp / 20 str / 19 skl / 15 spd / 12 luck / 11 def / 5 res A axes

Ninian: Lv. 1.60 21 hp / 0 str / 0 skl / 12 spd / 10 luck / 5 def / 4 res

Chapter 11: 7/7

Eliwood does a bunch of fighting, uses the Energy Ring on turn 3, then finishes the boss and seizes.

Chapter 12: 8/15

Eliwood heads out and tries to kill the bandits. Oswin and Hector show up and make a few kills.

Chapter 13: 9/24

Eliwood heads out towards Merlinus, he oneshots the trees on the way. After that it's off to the boss to score a highly unreliable bosskill and Lowen bites the dust meatshielding.

Chapter 13x: 7/31

Eliwood makes a dash for Puzon, exp is had.

Eliwood: 13.72 27 hp / 14 str / 10 skl / 13 spd / 11 lck / 7 def / 3 res A swords

Chapter 14: 16/47+4

So it turns out Erk is really, really hard to recruit. He's killed in two hits by virtually everything, and faces hit rates of 50-70%. I had to do a bunch of rigging to keep him and Serra alive long enough to recruit him, which means I also took a penalty for using her. After that I had to go slow to keep Erk and Eliwood from dying. The Rapier broke, and Erk eats his Goddess Icon somewhere.

Chapter 15: 9/60

Eliwood heads toward Bauker, Erk goes south as diversion. Unfortunately no rapier for a quick bosskill, so instead have an unreliable one!

Chapter 16: 12/72

So Erk can't really hurt the boss without some major str blessing, and it's up to Eliwood again to make an unreliable bosskill while some rigging is once again required to keep the soldiers alive.

Chapter 16x: 4/76

Erk and Eliwood run towards Fargus. I skip Canas because I can't keep him safe and get the sleep staff.

Chapter 17: 5/81

Erk and Eliwood run towards the boss. Since Erk can't do damage once again, it's up to Eliwood again.

Chapter 18: 7/88

Erk promotes, both run towards Uhai. Erk does 6 damage per round to him, but crits and kills on turn 7.

Eliwood: lvl 20 / 31 hp / 19 str / 14 skl / 16 spd / 11 lck / 9 def / 6 res / A swords / Energy ring

Erk: lvl 18/3 / 33 hp / 12 mag / 15 skl / 20 spd / 11 lck / 8 def / 16 res / S Anima / E staff / Goddess Icon

Chapter 18x: 8/96

Erk and Eliwood run up to Aion and Eliwood kills him.

Chapter 19: 8/104

Erk deals with the Sniper, then I run up to kill Darin. Legault happens to be around and I recruit him.

Chapter 20: 5/109

I buy some tomes and staves for Erk, as I was running low, after that I went after Oleg.

Chapter 21: 2/111

Snipe

Chapter 22: 4/115

Erk kills the bosses, someone grabs the ocean seal for money.

Chapter 23: 6/121

Lloyd took a while to kill.

Chapter 24: 11/132

Louise gets the Afa's drops and some levels, also goes shopping for killing edges. Erk tries getting some staff exp finally.

Eliwood: lvl 20 / 31 hp / 19 str / 14 skl / 16 spd / 11 lck / 9 def / 6 res / A swords / Energy ring

Erk: lvl 18/14 / 44 hp / 18 smag / 19 skl / 24 spd / 13 lck / 10 def / 19 res / S anime / E staff / Goddess Icon / Angelic robe

Ninian: lvl 2 / 15 hp / 13 spd / 11 lck / 5 def / 5 res

Louise: lvl 5 / 28 hp / 12 str / 14 skl / 18 spd / 17 lck / 9 def / 12 res / A bows / Afa's drops

Chapter 13 (9/26)

Eliwood takes the long way around and almost uses all of the rapier. Earlygame is fun with one unit :)

Chapter 13x (7/33)

Puzon thought he was cool, but nah, we know that ain't true. Eliwood gets more decent level ups. Meatshielding is great.

Chapter 14 (10+4/47)

Had to use Lowen or else this chapter would've taken 12,000 turns. Lowen runs around sucking a lot and taking out loose enemies. Eliwood continues killing things and has 2 rapier uses left. Better save those!

Chapter 15 (8/55)

Eliwood runs over the mountains, through the woods, and to our final generic!boss knight. An important strength proc allows him to kill the boss in a few rounds of combat with the rapier and iron sword. Wil gets fed kills and gets an okay level up.

Chapter 15 8/48

Eliwood went through the mountains. Lyn's gang couldn't get to the top in time to help Eliwood get through the enemies so I lost a turn.

Chapter 16 13/61

This chapter put me off of doing this for about a week. I could probably get a 12 turn but I really don't want to roll the dice to see if the green soldiers kill Raven and survive another 3 turns without dying. At least I was able to manipulate a perfect level for Eliwood and Bartre got much needed speed twice.

Chapter 16x 5/66

Eliwood was one space away from talking to Fargus on turn 4 and Bartre isn't strong enough to take on all the middle units so this was a 5 turn. Got Bartre a good level, Eliwood is level 20 now, and was able to get Canas for the Secret Book.

Chapter 17 4/70

Bartre is starting to prove himself here, he was able to mow down all the shamans and kill the boss while Eliwood stayed back and killed the mercenaries, also got three great levels on the way.

Eliwood: 20.0 HP 33 Str 18 Skl 16 Spd 19 Lck 16 Def 12 Res 9
Bartre: 17.44 HP 42 Str 18 Skl 13 Spd 12 Lck 7 Def 11 Res 4

Chapter 18 7/77

Couldn't get to Uhai in time for a 6 turn. Not much to say considering both of my units one round every enemy.

Chapter 18x 7/84

I was able to do this on my first attempt, Bartre got his last level for now

Chapter 19 7/91

Could've 6 turned this but I had to take care of the Sniper at the beginning to protect Hector & Lyn.

Chapter 20 4/95

Used Matthew to get the Hero's Crest. I wanted to get the Wyrmslayer but I don't think that's possible without losing a turn even if I didn't have to get the Hero's Crest.

Chapter 21 2/97

Bartre easily walked up and killed the boss. I restarted a few times because I figured I might as well try to get a good level out of it.

Eliwood: 20.0 HP 33 Str 18 Skl 16 Spd 19 Lck 16 Def 12 Res 9
Bartre: 20/2.74 HP 49 Str 21 Skl 16 Spd 15 Lck 7 Def 16 Res 8

Now that Bartre has good enough stats I don't really need to manipulate anything so I'm going through this quickly now.

I have not been able to play for a while due to work, but I managed to get a few chapters done today.

Chapter 22 5/92
I couldn't figure out how to get a 4 turn clear, as Eliwood can't attack at range and Dorcas can't double the bosses. Thusly, I had Eliwood dispatch Paul and Jasmine while Dorcas took care of everything else that Pent happened to leave alive. Skipped chapter 22x for obvious reasons. I'm going to save the Afa's drops for either Eliwood or Harken, I haven't decided yet who I should use it on. I used Florina to get Fila's Might, which I considered to be the only treasure that is both worth getting and obtainable without losing a turn. The Light Brand would have been nice though, so maybe I'll regret this later.

Thanks to Ninian Dancing for my two guys, I was able to reach Lloyd on turn 3. However, there was no way to beat him in one round,

Chapter 25 20/127
I consider this a good effort for my first draft/LTC attempt. Dorcas opens the first door on turn 1 and ORKOs all enemies inside, then he startes going up towards the north-western most door, which allows him to take care of the two bandits on his way there. Eliwood and Ninian go east to meet up with Harken when he shows up on turn 8. Eliwood can't recruit Harken on turn 8, as he is still too far away because I had to kill some enemies on my way to Harken, which slowed me down significantly. Once Harken is recruited, he heads towards Jermes room to eventually take care of the bad assasin. Eliwood and Dorcas, who has caught up with the main group after murdering a bunch of snipers, then split the two south-eastern rooms between themselves. I didn't deploy Merlinus this map, because this causes the Wyvern reenforcements to chase after my team instead of trying to steal funds from my tent. That alone has saved me at least 4-5 turns. However, not having Merlinus on the battlefield meant that I had to be careful with my item management, including not being able to give Harken any other weapons, so he wasted more than half of his Brave Sword already. I stopped caring about my level ups, but Dorcas has become a very good Warrior, while Harken's level up were lackluster. But on ENM, this should be sufficient for the endgame.

Eliwood: Lv. 20.00 33 hp / 17 str / 16 skl / 19 spd / 15 luck / 11 def / 4 res A swords
Dorcas: Lv. 20.00/15.30 57 hp / 27 str / 24 skl / 17 spd / 21 luck / 15 def / 7 res S axes E Bows
Harken: --/12.21 42 hp / 21 str / 21 skl / 18 spd / 13 luck / 15 def / 10 res B swords B axes
Ninian: Lv. 4.90 24 hp / 0 str / 0 skl / 13 spd / 12 luck / 7 def / 6 res

Give Ninian some extra weapons. The chapter gives you the bulk of the door keys you need.

Ch. 14 - 12/39
Eliwood kills the majority of the enemies. Becky kills two soldiers and all but one pirate. Serra healed some and Lowen acted as a shield to block off Serra and manipulate the Cav into attacking Becky. Eliwood gets some Iron Swords and an Iron Bow at the very end. Here, we also pay tribute to the loss of Erk, Prissy and Iron Blade

Ch. 15 - 8/47
Eliwood of the mountains goes to kill Bauker and seize. Becky kills some enemies. Serra constantly heals Becky and Merlinus. Wil shops for Heals, Vulnerarys and Door Keys. Sain goes to get stuff in the villages while the rest of Lyn’s group kills some enemies in Sain’s way.

Ch. 16 - 11/58
Yay Archers. Makes things easier for Becky. Lowen also stuck around to block Serra, manipulating enemies to attack Becky. Serra managed to get heals in for most turns. Ripparoni Raven, your sacrifice to get me the Gaiden will not be in vain.

Ch. 16x - 5/63
Got Canas for Secret Book. Dat moment when your max movement range can’t get you a 4 turn. :(

Ch. 17 - 4/67
Marcus with a Javelin manipulated a Shaman that would be in the way to attack Becky. She makes a beeline to Zoldam, Eliwood clears the path when it is blocked and Serra sticks around to heal Merlinus once. Got the Guiding Ring so Serra can promote once she reaches Lv. 10

Ch. 18 - 6/73
Becky broke the snags and went to kill Uhai. Dart forfeited his weapons to Becky and acted as bait the entire chapter. Serra got some heals in and got to Lv. 4. Eliwood cleared the way or took care of one range enemies during EP (so Becky didn’t get blocked off). Becky 4HKO’d Uhai and got her promo item. Fiora and Merlinus went to the void.

Ch. 18x - 6/79
Becky promotes before this chapter begins. Sadly, when counting the squares, Eliwood is off by 1 tile to get a 5 turn (damn terrain). Becky kills Aion, Eliwood Seizes. Serra gets some EXP by dodging enemies and ends up getting the Goddess Icon.

Ch. 19 - 6/85
Becky takes care of the Sniper in the room on Turn 1 EP (she sniped a Knight with a Longbow beforehand). Afterwards, The Trio trudge their way to Darin, with Serra thankfully dodging enough to survive.

Ch. 20 - 3/88
Serra’s really getting the short end of the stick. Considering her low level, I’m better off taking hits just to get heal EXP. On that note, this chapter went like it usually does. Becky couldn’t ORKO Oleg so I had to take a third turn. Marcus got some Iron weapons and Mends (dat 1 additional exp and wexp may just save her)

Ch. 21 - 2/90
Becky ices Eubans with Ninian’s help. The End.
