#11: Day organisation

Tomorrow is saturday.
Jonathan will have a very busy day but he still doesn't know how to plan his day.
It's your task to do it for him!

He usually gets up at 07:00. The first things he does are cleaning himself and then having breakfast. Since he doesn't need to go to work on saturday, he can spend his time for his friends. Isabeau, his girlfriend, will meet him at his home at 13:00. However Jonathan has to do lots of preparations before. He has to clean his home and cooking for her. But first he has to buy the ingredients. It'd be nice, if he could cut the lawn but it's not absolutely necessary. He has a fixed date for a haircut at 10:00. His other meeting will be Walter. He wants to go to the latest Star Wars movie with Jonathan. It's shown at 14:00, 17:00 and 20:00, so Jonathan can decide. Before he's going to the cinema, he has to take a shower. But Jonathan may not forget to bring rent books back to the library till 18:00. Futhermore he has an own fixed time for this lunch: 19:00 - 20:00. However it doesn't matter, if he starts at 19:00 or 19:30. His grandma will have her 80th birthday on monday. He has to write a letter for her and bring it to the post office till 15:00. At 15:30 he'd like to stress out a little bit by watching several soccer matches... but if the time doesn't allow it, he can deny it and spend the time for more important things. Also reading a newspaper before Isabeau's arrival would be nice. If it's somehow possible, he also would like to clean his car. If Jonathan has done all the "must have done" things, he'll spend the rest of the day with videogaming till midnight.

Edit: I hope it's clear enough, which activities have to be done. [spoiler=If not:]

  • washing
  • breakfast
  • writing letter for grandmother
  • bringing letter to the post office
  • bringing books back to the library
  • watching Star Wars movie with Walter
  • meeting Isabeau
  • cleaning house
  • buying ingredients
  • cooking
  • haircut
  • taking shower
  • lunching

Here is a list with the tasks and a given excel table with the times where you can enter each activity:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By3VdhdU6OlxQnU4RHVCN2YwanM

Edit: I forgot to add "writing letter to grandma" to this list. It takes 30 minutes.

Aquilae is not amused. :P:

I notice there's some stuff on the spreadsheet that's not in the puzzle description. Does that mean it can be shoved anywhere in his schedule?

Yes, if you have free time capacity left.

Actually I may not be very amused either since I like Isabeau.

It's pretty much self-explaining, if you look at the excel-table and the description.

Got the hidden word (Able to guess a letter or two). Missing a few word though (6 down and across)

I had to google one or two things, geography isn't my strong suit. (I had it as Estonia for awhile and got completely stumped.)

[spoiler=picture]sXyd2yd.png

It's correct.

Also for the dance I had tango actually, but mambo works too in this case.

Also I'm glad that people understood it.

I never have seen a word puzzle in English language, much less made one.

Ah, 6 down and across got me because they were something I expected to be more complicated than they were. I was expecting something really obscure.

(Also misspelled 5 across, no wonder)

Nintendo gamer were asked if and how many parts of the FE seriesthey have played yet.

Here are the results:

number of played FE parts         number of people

0                                                 10

1                                                 18

2                                                 13

3                                                 22

4                                                 11

5                                                 4

more than 5                                2

  1. What is the % rate of people who played not more than three parts?
  2. What is the % rate of people who played more two but less than five parts?
  3. How many parts have the asked people played in average? Use 6 as part number for the two players.
  4. How much does the variance account?

Your chart has quite a few errors in it, for instance there are two 7 downs and 14 appears to be an across, but the clue is listed for 14 down, and there's one word that has no number assigned to it at all (the second one sharing the row with 6 across). Despite these issues, I think I managed to limp along, though I needed to resort to google a number of times. My best effort gets the following

A typical situation you might find in FE:

Imagine you have an unit with 30 HP who has to block.

  • Three enemies are in its attack range but only one can attack him.
  • All the enemies do 13 damage to him and have 2% critrate. The hitrate of each opponent: 52%, 50%, 59% (order of attack)
  • Your ally can oneround / oneshot any of them except for a criticial hit. It accounts 7% to each enemy. The hithate of a regular hit accounts: 88%, 90%, 81% (order of attack)
  1. What is the % chance to kill the first opponent?
  2. What is the % chance to get killed by the first opponent?
  3. What is the % chance to get killed by all three opponents by regular hits?
  4. What is the % chance to get killed by all three opponents in total?
  5. What is the % chance to kill all opponents and survive?
