Pop ups are new screens appearing to overlap the current page you're on, which is why we think he was probably just on another site or has some kind of ad/spyware on his computer as those types of spy/adware DO INDEED exist. Anyway, I've seen viruses that can ONLY be detected by a specific anti-spyware program, so it's possible that there may be an add-on or spyware on your computer. _____ Posted October 19, 2008 Share Posted October 19, 2008 For example, an Ad-Aware XP 2009 window appeared on the computer screen when my dad was on, running Ad-Aware, so he clicked on it, not knowing it was really spyware. He tried to do a System Restore, he tried deleting it, he tried to use Norton and none of it worked. He went online and found that only Spyhunter, an anti-spyware program could get rid of it.
