Quiver
Hello! New member here, so hope no one minds me introducing myself. I feel like I should say something clever, but I'm just not that funny. To be honest, while I say I'm new, that should probably be taken in the most literal way possible. I'm not just new to the forum; I'm also new to the games themselves. I picked up a copy of Awakenings a few months ago, but only got around to actually playing it rather recently. Once I did, though, I got sucked in pretty quickly, and went ahead and picked up Fates as well. At the time of posting this, I've finished Birthright, and am working on Conquest. I never actually finished Awakenings, so I'm thinking that might be next on the list... unless I really want to go ahead and play Revelations first. ... So, yeah, I think I've covered all of the basics for a post like this. Like I said, total newbie, so I might end up lurking rather than posting often, but... well, hope to see some of you guys around!

Dragoncat
A lot of people got into the series with Awakening, you're not alone there. Even though I'm not one of them. Started with the GBA era... Is your favorite class archers? Archery is cool :)

Is your favorite class archers? Archery is cool :) In fiction as a whole? Yeah, I like archers. That archetype is an especially cool one to me. Quiver is the name/handle/whatever that I use on a couple of different forums, which is why I carried it over here. In the games proper? I don't know if they're my favourite class, since I don't know if I've played enough to have a favourite. Virion was a mainstay in my Awakening party, and my main archer for that game. In Fates... I'm sure it isn't a surprise to anyone to know that I used Takumi in my Birthright run. I also turned Sakura into a Priestess so she could use a yumi... at which point she turned into my MVP. Maybe I just got lucky with hits and crits, but she ended up being a healbot with a sniper rifle, alternating between fixing the other party members health and setting up enemies for the other party members to finish off. Slade
Ahhhh atlast, Mr. Queen... I've never greeted anyone on this section of the forums but I couldn't pass this opportunity down. Welcome to the Forests but don't enjoy your stay too much or I'll reveal your secret. Your old friend, ~Slade
Light Strategist
I was lured here by Oliver Queen. Hello there! Welcome to the Forest. Based on the archery questions you've already gotten, I want to ask if your Avatar's Talent in Fates is Archer. Takumi's pretty solid but the Fujin Yumi is kinda broken in that regard. Overall, I personally prefer Noire as an Archer but that might be because I typically pair Gaius with Tharja... Please, enjoy your stay, and don't be shy to ask a question if you need help. Nobody starts perfect and Veterans have the experience you need. (Let's disregard the accidental Skill pun shall we?)

My first run of Fates, I wasn't entirely sure how the second class feature worked. So I just ended up using the default stuff. For my current run, I'm... probably going to do much the same. I'm handwaving it away as story-based though; after all, Birthright and Conquest are both predicated upon Corrin/Kamui/not!Robin picking a side between two kingdoms. Playing that route out with them being a Hoshido/Nohr Noble seems like the most natural direction for that route to take. So... no Archertar, yet. Might try doing something like that when I do my Revelations run though; having every unit and being able to grind to my hearts content to max out skills ought to give me a little bit of incentive in that regard. 7 hours ago, Slade said: All I have to say, I keep my promises In retrospect hopefully OP isn't totally freaked out by my post Not freaked out at all. Honestly, I'd have been tempted to reply with some kind of Green Arrow-based response if you hadn't added this post So yeah, on the topic of non-Fire Emblem based interests? Arrow, obviously. I'm a big comic book nerd anyway, but that show helped get me into the Green Arrrow comics proper. I've been learning how to play tabletop RPG's for a while now, though the only one I'm half-way competent at is Pathfinder. I'm a bit of an anime dork. I'm also a fan of just reading, though I've been rather slacking in that regard; main book fandoms are A Song of Ice and Fire and Brandon Sanderson's cosmere. After I commented here last, I had an idea for a Pokémon that's like an archer, however unlike Decidueye, it's not based on an owl but rather a hedgehog that can use its spines as arrows. Oddly, the idea came from a combination of areas, Arrow and Pokémon, obviously but the 3rd part came from Sonic and sorta how his body is structured. Though I'm an absolutely awful artist and probably should be the last person to draw it. Mentioning Arrow, I'm also glued to the other shows as well, though I don't delve so much into the comics themselves.

Actually went with Popplio, since I saw so much negative press for the little guy before hand. (Unfortunatly, I'm not much of an artist either. I'd say a writer... but I'm terrible in that field as well.) I've been watching the great CWverse, though I am significantly behind in them. I do think they are decent shows, though, and I enjoy them. I was a long-termcomic reader before they came around, but they definitely piqued my interest in certain characters, so... So many missed opportunities spring forth. How can you not have trained Owliver Queen? Alola's very own Verdant Quill! Ironically, though I always choose the Grass Type starter (it's become a tradition for me), I actually feel as though Primarina is the best of Alola's starters. Why's it ironic? Well, normally, I end up getting all 3 starters in my final team by trading with friends, however this time, I only had 2 Gen 7 Pokémon in my team total. Incineroar and Decidueye. I'd have added Primarina but... Ash-Greninja exists and I utterly refused to pass it up at all. My final team wound up being Snorlax, Metagross, Incineroar, Talonflame, Greninja and Decidueye. What was yours?

BTW, if you have a smartphone capable of it, Fire Emblem Heroes is out, complete with healers that snipe people and a pretty broken Takumi. Don't forget to read the rules and all~!
