Harvey
What the title says. You like it, was it as faithful as the original, or that some of its songs are a bit off? Me personally, its a mix. I certainly love the new music that's done such as this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwkXy7OhzVY While some of the songs sound better in the original. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmrtAk1w2t0 Now this isn't really the remakes fault but damn it, Gaiden's songs are just to damn catchy. Also, I missed the credits a bit so any idea who composed the songs in the remake? Edited July 26, 2017 by Harvey
property of nuvelle
I loved a lot of them. My favorites are Distant Promise, Fell God's Tempest, Twilight of the Gods, Heritors of Arcadia and In a Silver Garden with You. The battle themes were nice but they got really repetitive after a while.
CriticalMiss
It's my favorite soundtrack in the series. It doesn't have as many songs as Fates (which also has an great soundtrack), but it has so many tracks that I thought were amazing. I also thought that the tracks for the battles against important villains like Berkut did an excellent job at setting the tone. 11 minutes ago, Harvey said: What the title says. Here's what it sounded like in the NES version: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rMs535C_9w0 I'm with you that some of the tracks are worse in the remake though. I thought "The Ark of Dawn" (the world map theme for Act 2), for instance, was much better in the original game. I still liked it in SoV, but I felt that it missed the somewhat melancholy tone of the original that fit with Celica's character and backstory so well. "The Course of Gods and Me," "The Heritors of Arcadia," and "The Voice that Calls You" play during the credits. All are really good, and Arcadia is sung by Silque's VA, which is pretty fitting. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CGOdm0LW6Sw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CzKptJ9VIiE https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OQLZhXJDsV0
Topaz Light
I can honestly say that there is not one remix in FE15 that I would consider to be worse than its Gaiden counterpart. Maybe equal for some of them, but not worse. The new compositions are all pretty good, although for a number of them there's a subtle difference in style that tips you off to them having been made for Echoes specifically. Overall, I think the soundtrack is really good and I like it a lot! I can't say I necessarily think the distribution of where each song plays in the game is perfect or how I would've done it—some divergence from Gaiden for the sake of making certain maps more atmospheric would not have been out of line, I feel—but I really can't find any significant flaws with any of the individual remixes. Nobody
It's okay/good, but i didn't find it that memorable. I liked Fates' and Awakening's better. Maybe I was spoiled by playing Final Fantasy XV, Persona 5 and Nier Automata, which all have absolutely fantastic soundtracks, before it, though. bethany81707
As someone unfamiliar with Gaiden's soundtrack, I never found myself thinking 'this song sucks'. But my word, Emperor Rudolf, the battle animation theme in Part 5, Berkut's songs, the Final Map... kinda overshadows other, more well-known and wide-spread songs. Not that they're bad or I don't like them (though I don't remember thinking With Mila's Divine Protection was that great... probably due to Smash exposure), but... Probably bias. Captain Karnage
It was good, and had a lot of outstanding tracks like twilight of the gods and lord of a dead empire, but I think it overall wasn't as memorable as Fates and Awakeing I'm not saying it's bad I just liked how both FE 13 &14 had much more varied soundtracks and had more than 3 map themes

Sentinel07
Easily one of my favorite OST's in the franchise. There's not a single remix that I think is worse than Gaiden's. Oddly enough, I've seen quite a few people saying Twilight of the Gods was better in Gaiden than Echoes, but I don't get that. I think the NES version feels emptier compared to Echoes' version. I don't have a specific place for it, but it's in my Top 3 somewhere along with Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn (They share the same style practically) and The Sacred Stones.
