DeSu
After my first 2 HHM runs, I figure I should try Eliwood mode. Since I heard Hector mode was harder than Eli's, I did EHM. My thoughts so far: it's insanely easy. The only reason I restarted was underestimating this mode and putting Rebecca in front of some bandits. Florete
I wouldn't call it insanely easy, but it's definitely easier than HHM. I'd still say it's a bit harder than SS's Hard mode.
DeSu
I like this music better than HHM
sunshineYON
for some reason I always like the tutorial music in games. I loved Nell's theme in Advance Wars and Lyn's map music >>>>>>>> Eliwood and Hector's map music combined.
_____
I think Lyn's is the worst. Distant Travels > Precious Things > Companions > Friendship and Adventure > Winds across the Plains
sunshineYON
I think Lyn's is the worst.Distant Travels > Precious Things > Companions > Friendship and Adventure > Winds across the Plains I'm too lazy to look up exact what tracks those are. But boooo! Winds across the Plains rules lol. Also, I've noticed ppl don't like FE8 music, even though I think the FE8's OST is vastly superior to FE7's also FE9's OST > all (this is off topic isn't it?) _____
I like FE8's music. Determination > All others. Wind Across the Plains ftl. (Yes, it is.)
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Playing EHM is a joke compare to HHM which is insanely challenging and more complex. The only difference with EHM is just the HM bonus(if I'm not mistaken...), that's it.
Mekkah
Not even that. I believe Hector Hard Mode is the only mode that gives enemies stat bonuses in this game. Eliwood Hard Mode is just Eliwood Normal with Silver Card, HM EXP cut and more enemies.

VincentASM
Fargus gets insane boosts in EHM, but I'm also fairly sure he's the only enemy that does get any boosts in that mode. Anyway, neither of us has any evidence at this point in time, so...

DeSu
Yeah, EHM Fargus is beast. 84 HP, 21 def, like 23 speed and skill, maxed Res and str? Insanity. I freaking wanna fight him at endgame. Nergal is a joke compared to Fargus, even with an Iron axe!
Kiba
I'm going to laugh when you have to like restart 10 or more times because of you underestimating it again
Raven
I personally find it quite easy... I always take on HHM to get a real challenge.
Hibari
"Careful kid, don't get penisy" In all seriousness though, what's the difference between Eliwood and Hector's Hard Modes besides new character's and sidequests. I mean what does Eliwood's HM have that Hector's doesn't?
Tino
You mean, what does HHM have that EHM doesn't. An actual challenge, stronger enemies, some character have HHM bonuses, etc.

Tino
Some people don't always want a challenge? I also wouldn't know. I always play HHM, so I wouldn't know, really.
Hibari
Some people don't always want a challenge?I also wouldn't know. I always play HHM, so I wouldn't know, really. I guess. But I just don't see the point in playing a game if it's not at least a little challenging.
Saint of Swords
I like Hector Hard mode better because its so hard, and thats what I like in a game. Eliwood hard mode is kind of disappointing because the enemys arent that much stronger :/ .
Mekkah
Technically they're not even stronger, there's just more of them, and your units are weaker (slower EXP gain).
Saint of Swords
thats what I thought but I wasnt sure. Bartres a pain to level up in there because he misses so often . when he does hit he still has a long way to go before leveling up.
Tino
He misses so often? On EHM? You're probably just having incredibly bad luck
Mekkah
He has all of 87 base hit before enemy Avo with an Iron Axe, so usually around 78-80 disp hit, or 90-92% real. If enemy is on a forest or something, 68% real. Somewhere inbetween that for Hand/Steel Axe uses on normal terrain. Could be a lot worse, but it's definitely not good. It's only reliable when using Iron against non-terrain enemies.
