You ever look at a video game you haven't played yet but you know you're gonna love it?

I know! I have a Vita too but I opted for the PS3 copies (Rorona Plus instead of original though). I prefer console gaming and if I'm curious about the extra cutscenes, I can watch 'em on Youtube.

Fair enough. I was intent on getting the Plus versions of all of them because I'm just that interested in the extra stuff. Well, that, and I'm a sucker for extra costumes.

Anyways, as to the question... I wound up liking...

  • Project X Zone
  • Kid Icarus Uprising
  • Trinity Universe
  • Xenoblade Chronicles
  • Hyrule Warriors

And I've got a good feeling about...

  • Blue Reflection
  • Nights of Azure 2
  • Tokyo Xanadu eX+
  • Summon Night 6

i think that sequels and series additions dont really fairly represent the merit of this question so honestly not really

While searching for a new XBLA game, I encountered some videos on Bangai-O HD like this one.

My immediate thoughts were "This looks crazy (and good). It looks like something Treasure would make."
I discovered that not only was it made by Treasure, but it had flown under my radar for over two years.

Imagine being a die-hard Elder Scrolls fan, and not finding out about Skyrim until over two years after its release, due solely to its obscurity.

Anyways, Bangai-O became my 2011 GOTY, beating Skyrim, Portal 2, Skyrim, Skyward Sword, Skyrim, and Skyrim.

I think whenever this has happened to me, I end up never disappointed. Just last year alone, I knew I was going to love Persona 5, Trails in the Sky the 3rd, Xenoblade 2, and Shadows of Valentia before playing them. And I was right!

Not sure if I've ever felt that way about a new/unfamiliar IP, though. Always sceptical when it comes to them.
