Janus
Things are always best home-grown rather than prepackaged. You should probably know what I mean.
Florete
Not always. It depends on what store you go to. Edited November 11, 2008 by Red Fox of Fire
Liz
so you're saying we should all go organic? XD Edited November 11, 2008 by Empress Alina
Thingy Person
Of course. Tome writers drug themselves with Olivi Grass to write quality tomes, and only the most freshly grown grass enables one to write SS tomes. That's one of the reasons the laguz were tortured in Gritnea Tower: the recept for Olivi Grass. Seriously though, I don't get it.
Steven Tyler
I thought he was talking about homegrown emulators, hacks, and fan translations.
Janus
C'mon people, put those thinking caps on tighter! Here's a hint: It has to do with characters.
Ike-Mike
I think he means that you should prefer unpromoted units to prepromotes. Too bad Radiant Dawn throws that out of the window.
Janus
Ike-Mike wins the prize, though I don't think RD really broke that rule, as every beorc unit in RD except the Dawn Brigade is at least 2nd tier.
Florete
Not always. It depends on what store you go to. Did you not catch the metaphor?
Reikken
I can't say that I agree. Usually the best units are not prepromos, but that's because there are far fewer of them. The worst units in the game are also usually not prepromos.
Phoenix Wright
Did you not catch the metaphor? Lol. I think I did.

bunny: spider bitten
Even if that made sense for homegrown, where would prepackaged come in exactly? Prostitution?
TLSothe
Erh...I dunno. I always liked pre-promotes.

bunny: spider bitten
Prostitution is legal in Nevada. And Rhode Island. Can't forget it. Edited November 12, 2008 by bunny
TLSothe
Uh...I am pretty sure it is here in Pennsylvania too. Not sure though.
bunny: spider bitten
Nope, just those two states. Nevada in a few counties and only in brothels. Rhode Island law states that prostitution is legal if a girl offers you her body in her home and you have the money to pay her. bunny: spider bitten
Anyway, back on topic. I don't think I can agree, as if we're going with the metaphor, there's so much that can taint the product you're making, such as poor lighting, bad soil, and potential over watering. The prepackaged stuff comes ready, and is almost always available for use.
Metal Rabbit
But the prepackaged crap doesn't have as much potential as home brew.
bunny: spider bitten
Varies from title to title and character to character. I mean, statistically, they all have the same caps. . .
Destiny Hero
I think he means that if you train a character from the start, they're better than the automatic uber units, like Seth or Marcus. In which case, I agree. Go, apprentice trio!
