Water Mage
http://www.siliconera.com/2018/05/16/pokemon-lets-go-eevee-pokemon-lets-go-pikachu-domains-registered/ Looks like these will possibly be the Pokemon Switch games. They seem to be Pseudo-Remakes of Yellow, as in it will take place in Kanto, but after the events of Alola I think. It seems that it following Pokemon would also return, and Pokemon Go mechanics will appear. And I know people will complain about Kanto again, but it makes sense if it is based on Go. Back when Pokemon Go was really, really popular only Gen 1 Pokemon were available, so these are the Pokemon people associate with Go, and they want to take advantage of that. Dai
I like to be positive, but something about this is just...weird. And kind of...I dunno? Wrong?
Armagon
If these leaks are real, i'm skipping this game. Game Freak has been sucking Gen 1's dick too much recently. I wouldn't be as upset if these games came much later but the fact that Gen 8 is opening up with what is basically a remake of Pokemon Yellow pisses me off. I would've much rather had a new region, or, if we really had to revisit an old one, why not Sinnoh?
Nym
Lol you know which game I'll get.
The DanMan
I'd pretty much consigned myself to this since the Gen 1 remake rumors started catching on. They're fact they're taking mechanics from and connecting with Go (down to the name) is even worse than I expected. Been warning some people about this for a while now. Or, less elegantly: 12 minutes ago, Armagon said: If these leaks are real, i'm skipping this game. Game Freak has been sucking Gen 1's dick too much recently. Sasori
The series going back to Kanto was already in the cards with the many many references that region got. I'd be a little disapointed that its not a new region, but i'll live. Its the pokemon go stuff that makes me a little bit more worried. Also would't this be the easiest version choice ever? Eevee has a lot more options then Pikachu with its many evolutions while Pikachu has always been kinda meh ingame.
Michelaar
I don't care if we're going to Kanto as long as they make this more interesting. However, GO mechanics can go screw themselves.

Reality
My feelings about the authencity of the leak aside - Pokemon Go mechanics: Capture: I know the normal pokemon capture mechanic's are treated as iconic, but... you don't really adapt to them very much aside from lowering health. It usually isn't till lategame when you can do the other things to improve % success (status/specialized balls to fit target) aside from just having the generic poke/great/ultra and the opponet on low HP, Pokemon Go isn't really an improvement either, but I'm honestly open to a change of some kind from the classic. The Ultra Balls being equal in weighting to the specialist balls at their best is also detrimental I feel. Battle: Obviousl I want the classic battle system preserved for normal situations but... I've never really felt the gym leaders or elite four functioned as boss battles, I don't think that Pokemon Go's Raids against legendary pokemon are ideal, but I do think that an occasional different kind of RPG / statline setup could be used within a pokemon game to emphasize the story threat/strength of an opponet who wouldn't really be protected gameplaywise from players ordinarily. Dragoncat
Eevee as a starter though? Pikachu worked but... Yeah, I'm on the "I'd rather have Sinnoh remakes" bandwagon.
Florete
Ya know what? I've been craving (more) gen 1 remakes for a few years now. So hell yeah, I'm excited if this turns out to be true. I'm not even a "genwunner" (Emerald is my favorite). Eevee as a starter also sounds awesome.
Anacybele
Honestly, a starter Eevee is the only thing I like here so far since I like it and love Flareon and Sylveon. But that wouldn't be enough for me to buy the game.
Aura Of Twilight
I would have preferred remakes of Colosseum and XD honestly, since that's where the whole Eevee being a starter thing started. Then again, those are spinoffs too.
countchrisdo
Sadly this is looking more and more real... I really didn't want to believe it, not that it looks like the absolute worst game but it's not at all what I've wanted for the Main Series Console Pokemon Game I've wanted since I was a kid

To be fair, we don't actually know how GO is being integrated. The leak says that capturing will work like in GO but like, what does that mean? While i'll still be very upset if these leaks are real, since the leaks are rather vague on the GO mechanics, i'm not gonna worry too much about that part for now. Of course, if it ends up meaning that the Legendary with a 3% capture rate will now have the ability to block or dodge my Master Ball, then that's actual bad game design. redlight
This just made my day. Always been a fan of Jolteon and if possible, I'd like to get Umbreon.

Dai
I kind of hope we don't have a repeat of Fire Red/Leaf Green in which the new Pokemon that evolved into or from the original Pokemon are locked to Postgame. That was stupid.
Michelaar
I think we should reserve our judgement until we actually see anything about this game, if it's even real.

Definitely. There are several games that either looked/sounded good or bad, but ended up being the opposite
Silverly
It looks like this is pretty legit, so this makes me really sad. I was hoping for a brand new place with brand new Pokémon, but instead we get god damn Kanto. Gen 1 is my least favorite so I’m not really looking forward to this, and while I don’t hate Pokémon Go I think it shouldn’t touch any of the main series games. We’re supposed to hear about this later on so I’ll wait and see, but I’m feeling very positive.

I was hoping for Gen VIII, or at least Gen IV remakes. The fact it's Gen 1 remakes, after all the gen 1 pandering already, is disappointing in its own right. Lightchao42
Based on the title I imagine they're trying to cash in on Pokémon Go's popularity and Gen I nostalgia (a winning combination), but after thinking about it I don't really care if it's Kanto again if they do new and different things with it. It makes me wonder how many new Pokémon there will be. They've been slowing down on the amount of new Pokémon added for the last two generations so maybe only adding a few is the logical next step. See, that's why they're right to do this... (I actually pretty much agree with the rest of Armagon's post). First of all, if you just stop 2 second, you would understand that Pokémon Switch could have never been a Sinnoh Remake. If it had to be a remake, it could be only 1G. Whether I agree (I have.. mixed feeling honnestly. Gen 8 is so obviously the best choice for me.)) or want a Sinnoh Remake (I actually am quite positive), is irrelevant. I can developp why if you want, but this is pretty obvious. There are high chance of it comming on a few years. If it's not the second main Pokémon games on switch, then you'll have all the reason to complain, but as hard as the waiting is, have patience. Secondly... Pokémon fans doesn't really care about originality. The most vocal portion actually seems to... loathe it. People only recently strted to admit than gen 5 was great, and gen 7 is, right now, really disliked. Instead the new genwunners are asking for a remake of one of the less innovative and original Pokémon game. That doesn't stop Sinnoh to be a really good region, and DPPt to be really good games, but while it added a lot competitively, and the Physical/Special split is a cool mechanics, it doesn't compare to what 2G (breeding, daily events + day/night cycle, and too much thing to note) or 3G (Double Battles AKA the official competitive tier ; Natures and Abilities)
Nobody
Sounds fucking awesome. Day 1 for me for sure. I've been getting less and less interested in Pokemon lately. Like, I haven't even touched ultra sun even though I got it as a gift, but I'd really look forwards for this. Yellow was my first pokemon game and the nostalgia would be awesome.
