_____
Tips? I just beat the first chapter.
VincentASM
The key question to ask is, which book? I'd assume 1, but you never know ^^;;;
Celice
If you've played the GBA games, you'll feel welcome. Only real thing I can think of is think twice on abusing the area :/
Ϲharlie
ITT: FESS copypasta. Book 1 is pretty straightforward, and not at all difficult. One thing to keep in mind is the fact that all non-HP stats cap at 20 regardless of whether you're promoted or not. Basically, this means you can promote your characters as soon as possible. It also means that characters aren't immediately bad just because they can't promote. There is also no weapon triangle, so don't worry about sending your lance guys against axemen and so forth.Anyway, I'd recommend forming a well-rounded team of about 10-12 characters. Two of them should be dedicated to healing while the others can concentrate on fighting. Two or three out of Cain, Abel, Roshe, and Hardain are recommended. Oguma and Navarre are also great characters to use. It would also be a good idea to use someone with high defense (Doga for example) because avoid isn't very reliable. Note that the above assumes you're going through Book 1. Also, you could actually use all four of the good Social Knights (Cain, Abel, Roshe, Hardain), just be sure to purchase an extra Knight's Crest. Or you could just not promote them. _____
Yes, I am going through Book 1 first. Why do the horsemen and Sheeda come with swords if they can't use them? Edited November 17, 2008 by ChaosNinji
Celice
They can dismount, where that is their only method of fighting whilst indoors :/
_____
Ah. Are some characters actually better when dismounted?
Swordsalmon
No, every mounted class is a bit weaker when dismounted. They lose some stats off horse, though Pegasus/Dragon Knights can dismount to avoid their weakness to Bows. ^_^
_____
Alright, so let them keep their swords for when they dismount, but don't dismount them manually, right? Any characters to avoid? I've yet to play a Shadow Dragon game.
Swordsalmon
Don't use any Archer/Hunter except Kashim or Wolf, Biraku and Marchis are pretty bad, as does the all the Akanea knights (Medea, Boa, Tomth, Mishelean, and especially Thomas). Most prepromotes are fairly mediocre. Ellis and Thomas are atrociously bad.
