There's some unnecessary shading on her face. I highlighted them.

I can't say it's perfect, but it's a start.

Next time you make a full custom, I suggest you make the head bigger. Comparing them to in-game sprites, they have smaller heads. This is why the facial features seem to be so big and cramped. Also, I think the nose is too big. It should be more subtle, like Eirika's or Lyn's.

Don't you mean I should make the body bigger? Because the head is stolen from a villager. I didn't change the size of it. :x

So was the nose. Except I changed that a bit. ;p

The mouth is one dark line. Put some of the lighter shades in the middle to give it some variance. The eyebrows have the same sort of problem.

I had to google that to find out what "anti-aliasing" is. ;p

It's my first time ever trying to do that so I don't know if I'm doing it correctly.

By taking advantage of the entire range of colors you plan on using for the trim plus the darkest skin tone or other dark colors that match the trim color you're going for. It's the reason why most trim is skin tone, or skin tone plus yellow. The way it's smoothed out with the different tones and colors is what is referred to as "anti-aliasing" in the GBA-FE sense.

Using the different shades of color for trim, you're able to make smoother and more convincing trim than just a light color plus the border color. Take a look at any armored character with trim. I'd start by studying Kent and Sain's shoulder pads, since they have some of the best examples of trim at their most basic level.

Oh thank you. That information was more helpful.

Am I do it correctly now? Ha ha.

Yeah, I'm not very helpful when it comes to sprites advice :P

Wow, it's late *facepalm*

Well, make kind of a chunk of the lightest skin shade under the far

eye. Look at FE7 portraits for reference, most have that. Unfortunately,

neither mine nor TBA's avatars can help you with that at the moment.

*facepalm again*

EDIT: You didn't have to recolor that to skin tone, but you seem to

have gotten better at it, and it works. If you want, you can revert it back

to the colors you had before by recoloring the corresponding colors.

Oh, I meant that his information for more useful than the one I googled for. Sorry. :x

Thank you for the tips. I can see it's much better now. ;D
