    I have to agree with bookofholsety's opinion. While I'm leaning towards official for the website names, Heroes comes out soon anyway, so better safe than sorry.

    Niime got changed to Nimue. But she was only mentioned in passing in FE7 anyway. She didn't even appear, unlike Marduk.

    Same, though I might pre-order this one because I liked the original Gaiden and doubt this game would be somehow worse.

    We don't necessarily want it to be bare bones, just that it keeps the mechanics that make it unique.

    I mean, FE is the series that made Almace and Excalibur, both swords, into an axe and a tome, respectively, so I doubt they care about being faithful to their namesakes.

    While the name changes to characters who had already gotten established english names are eyebrow-raising, I think the fact that Gwendolyn, the site's name for Wendy, was used in the trailer lends the site names some credibility.

    Pretty sure Murdock/Marduk wasn't mentioned in Awakening. Anyway, I think the site is likely pretty credible, as its name for Wendy, Gwendolyn, was also used in the trailer.

    Effie is just her Japanese name, and Fates Effie was Elfie in Japan, so I imagine she'll be renamed for the US release.

    I don't think this game needs pair up. I was never a big fan of pair up anyway. Regarding Avatars, I generally like having avatars, but they don't belong in remakes like this game.

    I like Gaiden's weapon system, and I'd rather it not be changed.

    I haven't been here in a while, but came to talk about all the new shit revealed in the direct, and I find we have a completely new forum look. When and why did this happen?

Pent is good, but he has worse bases, growths(for the most part), AND availability than Lewyn!Ced, not to mention Lewyn!Ced will usually come with Forseti, with which he can snap the game's difficulty into itty bitty pieces.

    Same. Azama is a great character. He's one of the most hilarious characters in the game. I think they're more complaining about his lack of chemistry with most of the women in their supports though.

    Only Shanan would be a bit tough because you need Seliph to seize castles and would have to keep him away from enemies. I think pseudo solo where you use both but mostly Shanan would be easier. I think Lewyn!Ced could also potentially solo most of FE4 gen 2 with ease at base with his holy weapon, but I've never done the math so I'm not entirely sure. He does have both Shanan-tier crazy avoid AND 1-2 range though.

    Yeah, good point. And I'm honestly one to talk seeing as I'm a jobless 19 year old who isn't in college so I pretty much am made of time yet I haven't updated any of my LPs in over a month. But I'll do it when I finish Fates, honest!

    I think all of the scrub squad (Noish, Alec, and Arden) are pretty sucky. They're all certainly usable though.

    Gaiden actually has a secret "Easy Mode" that let's you level up twice as fast.
