  1. This is a cool opportunity. Thanks for taking the time to do this! For Marcella: You say you haven't played Fire Emblem Fates, but have you any experience with playing Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, particularly with female Corrin? What was it like for you to see the reactions to Corrin being announced as a playable character in the game last year? I recently watched Avatar: The Last Airbender recently as well, and while I'm here I'd like say I enjoyed your role as Jin too. Just thought I'd mention that! You do great work.
  2. I think the second skill of Quan SR actually does sort of make use of Gáe Bolg as a skill, as its name references a spear that opposes Thracia, which would logically be Gáe Bolg (especially considering that Gáe Bolg itself is already seen in that same illustration and the skill has an appropriate effect). Similarly, Deirdre SR looks like it makes use of the Book of Naga, but the skill that seems to involve it isn't explicitly named after the tome itself like other regalia skills. Her and Quan might get more prominent uses of their holy weapons in their ST cards though, I agree on that possibility. I find Sigurd to be a little odd actually, as he doesn't appear to have any skill that references Tyrfing despite its appearance in his ST card illustration. It looks to be unaccounted for right now, although maybe they're saving it for whatever his 5/4 card may be (or failing that, Seliph).
  3. Somehow I don't see them giving Bride, or DLC classes in general, to anyone but the Cipher originals, if ever, because I find it hard to see them giving anyone the Bride treatment otherwise (except maybe Lucina). I could see Emma, Yuzu, or Shade getting a Bride class in Series 8,
  4. Just for clarification, the illustrator's name should actually be Nobu Aonagi. I've never heard of them before, but looking into it, they're apparently illustrating a Tales of Berseria manga.
  5. +1 to mothmanex Received my order right on time and they even threw me a surprise bonus. Thanks for the business!
  6. No, they're just minor bosses who have dialogue. You don't recruit anyone in the prologue. Like in Fire Emblem, if an enemy's name isn't written in katakana, they're most likely not recruitable.
  7. Purple cards are also supposed to be getting conditional support power values (X) that vary depending on circumstances.
  8. Chrom's coronation ceremony happened after Grima was defeated at the end of Awakening. This is mentioned in all of Chrom's endings, and while he was provisionally the new Exalt upon Emmeryn's fall, Chrom was only officially welcomed as Ylisse's Exalt after the war was over. Chrom's attire in Kozaki's sketches (his first one was from November 2015, preceding the other one that showed up in the Cipher livestream) is supposed to be how Chrom appears around this point in time.
  9. Robin promoting into Grima would be crazy but I love the idea. I definitely agree that SpotPass and villain characters will get some limelight here, but I feel like the hypothetical idea of the theme of Series 8 being a little more about the second generation characters of both Ylisse and Jugdral would be a safer and more likely thing they'd do. Even though Chrom is really the first and only confirmed character we know who will be in it so far, I don't feel like that's necessarily a lock that he could be the mascot. Maybe it'll be another bait and switch and Lucina will be the mascot again. A Valentia and Magvel combo would be great since they go really well together thematically, I should say. That's a great point to bring up. At the very least I think there will very likely be some kind of crossover between Cipher and the mobile game in some capacity; it'd be kind of silly if they didn't at least do something with the two together. If the mobile game has its own cast of characters, then I can't see them not being featured in the TCG in a new set, and I think they probably wouldn't want to wait later than Series 9 or 10 to do that. Although we know very little about the mobile game right now, the confirmed detail about it having character customization might mean a new Avatar character (I wouldn't think Kris, Robin, or Corrin would be reused for that purpose, if true), in which case that might spell for a new setting for the game to take place in, and in turn a new cast of characters. I'm just ready to finally see what it's all about. Of course, that's all for later. We'd need to go through Series 8 first to see anything like that. Your idea of Emma taking on Griffon Rider actually sounds very plausible to me, I appreciate that you brought that up. I hadn't considered Emma before, but now that you mention it, I think that would be a very sensible thing to happen. Cherche or Gerome adopting Griffon Rider for the sake of being able to say that the class finally showed up in the TCG doesn't seem as nice as just having Emma take it for herself. I wouldn't mind to see that.
  10. I know how you feel. Fates has a relatively large presence in the TCG and I'd personally prefer to see them move on to other things too. However, I get that Intelligent Systems wants to stick with it for a while longer than others considering it's the hottest game in the series right now. I'm confident we'll see new stuff sooner or later. Magvel and Valencia would be great to see.
  11. Assuming the theme of Series 8 is going to be more focused on the second generation of characters of Ylisse and Jugdral, my current belief is that the mascots will just be Lucina and Seliph. I don't think it makes a lot of sense for Chrom to be a mascot unless they also want to make Sigurd a fourth one (it wouldn't be one or the other, I think), and it seems like too much to happen when we usually just see two mascots per series, or three in Series 4's case. I would personally love for Chrom to be an unadulterated mascot for a series (I feel that Series 1 doesn't really count and that Lucina actually stole it from him), but realistically I think he's doomed to be a bit of his own joke character ever since Smash Bros. happened. On a different note, I think a later series, maybe as early as Series 9, could potentially be one about the second generation of characters of Nohr/Hoshido and Elibe if they really wanted to do that, but that may be a discussion for another day. I hope we see more cards of playable Ylissean characters who only ever saw one, like Vaike, Maribelle, and Kellam. Since Series 6 is making the game more open to having playable villains, it may not be too crazy to also see others like Validar, Walhart, and even Grima become playable too. Chrom's depiction as a veteran Exalt (probably how he appears post Awakening Endgame) might complement this idea since they basically did this with Series 6 and the royals. I'd like to see Emmeryn too, and it doesn't seem impossible to see Phila as well since they're letting Mahnya in with Series 6. With all of this in mind, I don't think there will be much if any space to feature Jugdral's second generation replacement characters. We'd be lucky to even see them here, but I hope they do appear at some point. Edit: I want to see someone appear in the Griffon Rider class. I'm personally not avid about the class but I think it would be nice to see it represented somewhere.
  12. Between the two I'd like to believe they'd start with Sigurd since he's more of the face of Series 6 than Xander, I feel. Either way, I believe Kirie's observation is indeed true and we ought to start seeing Series 6 cards very soon. I think there'll be fun times ahead next week.
  13. Congratulations and thanks for taking up the role. I think you're the right person for it and look forward to what you'll bring to the community. Best wishes.
  14. Happy to say that both items have safely arrived. Thank you again for this opportunity!
  15. It appears to be a very early design of Tiki, who originally went by the name Arion.
  16. Speaking of Fire Emblem Gaiden, I'd like to reiterate an error that was previously mentioned by Forceman. In Fire Emblem Gaiden, the Nosferatu (aka Resire) spell is classified as Black Magic. If you want to cast Nosferatu, you have to select the Black Magic option. 1, 2 Despite this, the spell is situated on the White Magic page, when it should really belong on the Black Magic page.
  17. Hmm, fair point. I just figured, since she's on the Hoshido box, she would be Hoshido, you know?
  18. On the new Fire Emblem if characters page, Felicia is listed under Nohr when she should be under Hoshido.
  19. Chapter 12x of the Shadow Dragon game script has the majority of the text in bold, starting on first line by the Enemy Soldier. Also, while I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, the Enemy Soldier is always introduced as "Enemy :Soldier:" which doesn't appear correct to me because the first colon seems unnecessary.
  20. On the FE1 character introduction page, Sedgar's portrait erroneously uses Gordon's. They may appear identical, but Sedgar's portrait is actually slightly different.
  21. I'd like to purchase the soundtrack CD (2000) and staff book (2000). Thank you very much for the opportunity!
