  1. Personally I like the OST here 10000000X better than Awakening's. Why? Simply because this OST has much more culture put into it compared to Awakening. There's celtic tunes for Nohr, Asian tunes for Hoshido, and even some semi-arabic like the one 3:33 into this video And when it comes to OSTs, though I may like a ton, there's very few for games that I've heard yet that make me think of it as legendary, with that only really belonging to games like Ar Tonelico that are very niche and, specifically to that franchise, has an emphasis on music. And imo this game's OST is practically on par with every bit of Hymmnos I've heard. And if you've never heard Hymmnos, then I'm sure you'd have at least heard the Drakengard 3 OST and the NieR OST which are also imo legendary in it of themselves. Here, I'll put in some references for you to compare I may be a bit biased to good vocals :/
  2. Well this has turned out to be interesting. Much to some people's ire. Can't wait to romance some of these characters. And is it me, or are there references to Monogatari in this game. Granted, I've already seen the topic regarding Soleil, hope the context changes in localization for her, but anyways Soleil when I think about it reminds me of Kanbaru from Monogatari (granted with a more girly voice compared to Kanbaru's boyish voice), and then Midoriko's entire design just SCREAMS Mayoi Hachikuji Feudal Japan ver.
  3. Wow, everything I'm hearing about is just great. Can't wait for this to come stateside. Wish I had the money to import a Japanese 3ds and the game though, as reading Japanese is more or less a non-issue for me (granted I still don't know A LOT of kanji) and when it comes to scenes I can kinda translate them much better since I'm more used to spoken Japanese than written due watching a ton of subbed anime (yes I know that doesn't really qualify as KNOWING Japanese, but for what I do know of written, I had a teacher for a few months at one point teach me about conjugations and whatnot and also gave me a decent amount of vocab so that kinda eliminates that accusation if it doesn't better me at knowing spoken Japanese.)
  4. New trailer looks great. Usually I don't like dubbings, but what we heard from this trailer has my hopes up cause it's a lot better than most that I'm used to. As for the english singing I don't mind it too much. Sure the Japanese is a lot better, but having played games where I've been force fed semi-decent dubs I can't help but at least be slightly less critical since at least they try, and it could be a lot worse. Funnily enough Aqua's singing reminds me of the final boss battle song from Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny for the wii, specifically of Odette's part.
  5. Lunatic (gonna beeline straight for that L+) Classic Resets A little-alot grinding (when available) Nohr
  6. I prefer Anya and Byakuya simply because it just rolls off the tongue better for me. Sure, Nohr has a more western feel to it but I constantly have to remind myself to pronounce it as Noh-R instead of what my mind constantly wanting to call it Nwa-R due to the word being so similar to the French Noire. Not only that, but Hoshido just sounds weird to me (I pronounce as Ho-she-doh) compared to the relatively straightforward Byakuya (pronounced Be-ya-ku-yuh.) Though I do find Anya being a name for a country weird as I'm used to hearing it as the name of an individual (e.g. Anya from Gears of War.)
  7. This. New World to the Japanese doesn't always translate as a different world. Look at the Japanese audio tracks of the Ar Tonelico games, specifically the second one. There are constant references as the continent/country of Metafalss being a "world" (sekai) and NIS translated it literally, when in reality it's just another floating country connected to a tower on the planet of Ar Ciel and is about a decent amount of Kilostons away from Sol Ciel and Sol Cluster which are the other two continents/countries remaining on the planet until the true end for the third Ar Tonelico game happens. Granted though, the precedent here for FE is much different than AT, but then again Awakening brought it all into one single multiverse through the idea of the outrealms.
  8. Inb4 Fire Emblem: Ideal Family, coming to retail stores near you in Holiday Season 2016 >.< kek
  9. Hinoka Rinka and Kazahana for the first (with maybe Oboro, Sakura, and Orochi on the side), Aqua on the second, Elise Nyx Luna Belka Elfie and maybe the Blue maid for Nohr for me, and lastly Mikoto and FeMUi for the impossible. I'm no player, but all of these gals are fine in my book XD. And maybe Nishiki for yolks shenanigans (like my MRobin x Walmart headcanon pairing.) - Edit - And add Joker to that thought as well.
  10. Hard to tell what' the problem. But the whole design to begin with is nonsensical really. As an aside, am I the only one here who wishes they could just rub their faces on Nyx's washboard of a chest? Kek, sorry of this is off topic, can't help but think it consider how her design is meant to provoke thoughts regarding sexuality XD.
  11. Saw teh new infos. Can't wait, though it's a shame Nishiki is the only revealed fox char so far. I hope there's a female fox shapeshifter, but if Nishiki is the only one I suppose I won't be too disappoint. As they say in the hood, bros b4 all dem hose(s).
  12. Speaking of parallel seals, man I love that idea. I love it because some skills like Luna which are learned at level 5 can be obtained and you can then class change over to a class where you only want to get the level 15 skill. This setup is really great for having a char not hit the hard exp cap and having to grind out the rest. However if you want to go for anymore skills you gotta second seal over to another class which resets your level so you can get the other skills, but that's if second seals can still do that at levels 10+. Now with parallel seals I fear IS will consider the reclassing capabilities of the second seal nil because we have the parallel seals now, thereby taking the reclass part off and then just have it level reset. If so then that's going to suck hard because then from 15 you're forced to get to 20 to SS to 1 in that class then take a parallel seal over to the class with the next skill you want. Could also just SS down to an unpromoted class, but then that's taking up even more levels for a quicker hard exp cap. Honestly if they keep second seals as they are,we can basically have a really streamlined classing system. And it makes me wonder with parallel sealing whether or not we can parallel at a level where you acquire a skill and you get that skill when moving to the other class. Essentially meaning that you could parallel at 5 for every skill you want and parallel at 15 for every other skill. That though in my opinion is probably a bit too streamlined as it essentially means extremely easy skills without coming close to the hard exp cap at which point you can then grind everything else out in the final class of that unit you built. Granted it's great for maximizing the stuff you want, but it's too great in that regard. Hopefully though they'll just make the skills only obtainable on level up rather than simply on level that way the parallel system won't be abused too greatly.
  13. I fight for lolis.....and to stop all things evil and/or unpleasant, but mainly lolis XD jk. I plan on starting with Nohr...or maybe Hoshido...or maybe Nohr (so hard to decide X_X) in the end though I'm just gonna go rogue and tell them both I ain't havin any of their crap until they get along. We technically are gods soos.....
  14. Eh, if anything, we always have Old Hubba to count on. Still waiting for that Walmart x Robin pairing though :/
  15. Yes cause they're "Blood Relatives" but I'd like to highlight the fact that NONE of them besides Kamui has pointy ears nor can transform into dragons. The dragon's vein thing is questionable regarding this theory, but I wouldn't put it past them if each royal family were blessed with the power that Kamui has kinda like a god blessing his subordinates so as for them having the dragon's vein ability. Honestly, with the design choices I find it unlikely that any of them are truly our blood relatives. Or at the very least, our ""sisters" in Hoshido are simply just cousins and not actual siblings. Could be half-siblings though as well, but I put my money on the former.
  16. Also, if anyone hasn't noticed nor know yet from the pic Bovinian posted, there's also apparently a new gamemode called "Fenix" if I'm reading that correctly, alongside with Casual and Classic modes. I believe choosing between Normal, Hard, and Lunatic also returns. As for Fenix, I'd love to translate what it says, but I can't really read all those kanji. And scratch that, looks like I'm late to the party.
  17. Name: Kane Recruited in: Paralogue 23.X Starting Class: Dread Fighter Starting Level: 15 Starting Skills: Galeforce, Agressor, Res +10, Ignis Starting Items: Thunder, Steel Sword, Hand Axe Critical Quotes: "Heh, too easy" "Ever face a dragon-ninja before?" "Don't cry if my magic or fire-breath burn" "Sorry buddie, gotta do good and all to keep the house afloat" Support Options: All possible females supported to S Rank, including FeMU and the second generation girls not including daughters. All males are supported to Rank A. Confession: "I'm generally a loner by nature, but damn you lighten up the world of this dragon assassin who's far from home." Reclass Options: All possible male classes including Tactician, Manakete, and Lord. This is because it's believed that he comes from a royal family of manaketes whom happen to train their lineage in the arts of ninjutsu. Unlike most lords however, he has dark brown hair instead of blue, though it is believed that the Outrealm from which he hails is of a world radically different than those of established FE timelines. In short, his reclass is essentially equivalent to the spotpass and DLC chars but with Lord and Manakete tacked on. Modifiers: -1 Str/+3 Mag/0 Skl/+2 Spd/-4 Lck/0 Def/+2 Res Paralogue Backstory: Chrom and co. were told by the villagers of a remote town on the fringes of the Archanean continent about strange happenings recently involving various unfamiliar creatures to the realm taking root inside a huge grotto to the far southeast of the village, nearly borderlining an undocumented mountain range far from established society. The company of the Shepherds unanimously decided to investigate in the event of a potential threat to the realm brewing despite the stark remoteness of the locale. Can't have any more Grimas with Risen killing innocents can we? Upon arrival at the grotto the Shepherds see some of the most amazing vistas sprawled out before them coupled with odd trinkets, lamplights of unique sorts and so forth. There also were, as rumoured by the villagers, creatures the company would thought to have never exist as well as various booths being manned by said creatures. Say'ri of Chon'sin then comments on how the locale bares some minor similarities to her people's culture...but seems a bit more developed. It is at this moment that Kane comes in to question the Shepherds on their presence in the area. After hearing out their story he then tells them that the creatures hail from his world which is an outrealm of theirs. In his land there are many creatures that the people of his world term as "Youkai" or "demons" for lack of a better sense. These youkai however have stumbled into the outrealm of the Shepherds and that Kane was tasked with rounding them up and bringing them back to his world before they cause any unnecessary havoc. As for the decorations, Kane elaborates to the Shepherds that it is currently festival times in the land he hails from and is the reason why the place looks as it does. After that you get taken into the battle screen and can look around the area to get an idea of the enemy units in this paralogue which will be generally coined as "Crazed Partygoers" and have varying looks and classes focused around their Youkai aspect. And due to fancanoning things, when battling you'll get the feature shown in If where there will be a background showing the locale and Youkai in it. Kane is recruited by having the MU talk to him, and you can get some flavour text if you have Say'ri or Yen'fay talk to him, each texts focusing on different aspects of his world's relation to Chon'Sin.
  18. Really enjoyable "gamemode". Lovin all that flavor text and whatnot. Now I know this is far from done, but this has got me thinking that when you finish this there should be an eventual follow-up walkthrough of half the game from the kids generation called something cheesy and classical like Rally Rangers Next Generation. Don't know how viable that might be, but it certainly sounds like fun. It'll go something like after the defeat of Grima's first General Gangrel, the Rally Rangers were so wiped and tired from working that they left the rest of their job to their children who inherit the powers to fight evil and all things that are unpleasant. (With the exception of Chromzord due to the requirement of his presence, but he'll just be on standby duty most of the time while Lucinazord takes up his job.) Sounds like it'd be a very fun alternate reality to this run.
  19. Ty ty, and yeah, I didn't know too much about the proc priority, but it's why I'm not wasting a skill slot on Vengeance and instead opting for the weapon in the event it's needed. Only other weapon I might think about replacing it with would be a forged Brave Sword but when compared to Mercurius it's really lacking in output imo. Especially considering with the right pair you can get a double without the need of the Brave. So that's how I have my item setup. I could be nice eventually though and replace the Vengeance with a stat item, but as of right now all my stat items are reserved for making everyone OP. So yeah, that's my choices for my avatar and maybe something a bit better can be done with the items, but for now it works really well imo.
  20. PSN back when I had PS+ to download the trials. I believe it was Senki 2 and Zero that were available. It happens. I felt that I should at least make my intro detailed to cover questions I might be asked later on, and this is just the overall idea. If we got into specifics it'll be much longer. Anyways, Nice to meet ya ;P
  21. Don't remember the exact features but... Name: Kane Gender: Male Modifiers: +Mag/-Lck Class: Dread Fighter Skills: Lifetaker x Agressor x Limit Breaker x Armsthrift x Ignis Items: Book of Naga x Forged Katarina's bolt for 40 crit and 14 Mt x Forged Brave Axe for 16 Mt and 80 hit x Mercurius x Vengeance Wife: Going to be Tiki for OP Limit Breaker Armsthrift Ignis Manakete Morgan. Brithday: June 22 (Same day as me) This setup in my opinion is possibly one of the best I've seen for Dread fighter since it makes use of their ability to have hybrid attacks and abuse the weapon triangle to some degree. Not only that, but I like being a mixed fighter. At max stats, with a 50% chance of ignis proccing, you'll get a guranteed 25 points added to the stat you use, couple that with Bolt and you also get a decent crit chance as well (38% chance against the General Enemies from wave 1 Apotheosis). Also add the 10 extra damage from agressor and if you get lucky on the off chance of Ignis proccing and getting a crit, when calculated amongst normal circumstances of Limit Breakerd enemies, you'll be hitting for nearly 129 damage against an opponent with about 60 res (unless my calculations were off). Only time you might stumble with this setup is when facing a Manakete-Mothered Morgan or Donnel/MaMU-fathered Nah running a good skillset. Plus in the event he's been getting more kills on enemy turns than on his he can use Vengeance if low on health for 100% proc and recover it all with Lifetaker, though some would argue that this is bad for using Vengeance, my opinion is that the main use of this is for triangle advantages as well as getting health back and then switching back over to Bolt, Axe, Curius, or Naga next turn depending on what you're up against. And with Armsthrift you don't waste any uses, so you're in the clear all the time. As for the lacking defenses (49 w limit breaker in this setup) I just have Naga equipped to hit 53 and call it a day there which is good enough in my opinion, plus with Naga res also hits 60. And note that all of this is without any pairups. Thusly so, this is why I have my MU setup like this as they can essentially wreck face with nearly anyone except for some situations like the previously stated dragon offspring which completely break all parts of the game except our lord and saviour the God Anna.
  22. XD I would..but $. I played the demos and had a good time with it that I'd buy the series, but gotta cough up the cash before the play XD
  23. Hello there everyone, I'm good ol' Kanethedragon. Currently I'm a student aiming towards making a hit into the game industry, but I still got quite a bit of time ahead of me before that. I'm a passionate fan of Anime as well as video games and am on constant update with the seasons for both industries (even though 90% of games I mostly experience through vids rather than in my hands due to never having the $ for it all.) I have a youtube account that hasn't seen much content from me til recently ever since I started it up back in 2010, and said recent content being added is done through streaming from twitch and then exporting the broadcast. I also happen to know my way around programs like photoshop and illustrator and am a certified associate for both programs (though certainly not an expert.) Other than that, the anime I watch and games I play are varied. I have a relatively decent pc that I use for a few stuff from steam as well as Osu! and FFXIV. I also play Leagues of Legends every now and then if anyone's interested, but I don't get on it too often and I tend to know how to work my best around Ahri and a bit of Ashe and Akali. When it comes to console games, on the Nintendo side I have just recently got into Fire Emblem with Awakening and am currently in the midst of support grinding and netting copies of Limit Breaker to maximize my entire army's stats. I also technically beaten Lunatic, but I never got the children and nearly my entire deployed group died (it's classic) so that's why I'm over-grinding currently so that I truly beat Lunatic and then move to L+ Classic (which I plan on using the free emblem once available to snatch my MU because I am never going to run CH3 ever again without a guide. I needed to pull all the strategy out of my head when I did that on my Lunatic run to not get anyone killed.) As of right now my main unit is sitting pretty nicely with a Dread Fighter +Mag/-Lck Armsthr/Ignis/Lifetak/Aggressor build and holding the Book of Naga, a forged Bolt for Crit and Damage, Mercurius, Vengeance, and a forged Brave Axe for 16 Mt and 80 hit. Outside of FE, other Nintendo console-based games I play include the LoZ series, Rune Factory Tides of Destiny for the Wii and 4 for the 3DS (and hopefully 3 eventually), Smash Bros (only have SB4 on 3DS so far though), Pokemon, Gunvolt, and a few others. I also have a few games on my wishlist for Nintendo consoles which include Fatal Frame 5, Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, quite a few LoZ games, Rodea: The Sky Soldier, KH3D, Eternal Magna, Xenoblade and others you may or may not know of. Continuing with the games, I also happen to be a dedicated Playstation fan of late as well. The starters of this include my current favourite video game franchise of all time Ar Tonelico, as well as other games like Hyperdimension Neptunia, Disgaea, the Atelier series, and I have a profound interest in low-key games for consoles I don't own yet (specifically the Vita) like Operation Abyss, Freedom Wars, Danganropa, GODS EATER and others that I currently don't have their names in my mind. As a denomer, I am somewhat fluent in Japanese (can read some kanji as well as hiragana and katakana) and I am capable of generally translating information from Japanese releases. I also happen to be a huge japan-o-phile/anime culture fanatic, borderline what some may jokingly or seriously call a filthy weaboo. And speaking of that I'll go into my anime interests. As of right now I'm watching shows from this season which include Punchline, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, Kekkai Sensen (or Blood Blockade Battlefront...and I'm REALLY lovin it so far), DanMachi (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?), Fate Stay/Night UBW, Owari no Seraph (Seraph of the End), Kyoukai no Rinne (RIN-NE), and Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku (Mikagura School Suite). Shows I've watched include Dog Days all seasons, To Aru all seasons, Hayate no Gotoku! up to Cuties, Kill la Kill, Aldnoah Zero (S2 sucked horribly though..music was great), Space Dandy S1, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Higurashi Kai, 11eyes, Shugo Chara, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Mouretsu Pirates, Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi, Sacred Seven, Eureka 7 all seasons, K Project, Kiddy Grade, Tokyo Ghoul S1-2, SAO S1-2, Log Horizon S1-2, Fairy Tail up to ep 10 2014, as well as many others. Basically when it comes down to it, I'm relatively well-versed in anime and have known quite a few that are relatively good but might've been passed up by most and vice versa. And there ya go, all there is to know about Kanethedragon. And if I haven't mentioned it already, I'm a Floridian, so there you are. I also have a rarely used Deviantart under my name as well as a twitter and facebook account which are connected to my youtube and twitch accounts. And with that, I hope to see you all in the forums ;P
