  1. By the way, are joke characters allowed? Like an unlockable character with a robot mech or something.
  2. Could you explain us how you inserted the portraits?
  3. Oh, here's Kab's death quote: "I-I don't...want to die...".
  4. There's a Female Hector edit you can grab for free at Klok's Animation topic, just read the rules on whether you should ask for permission or not.
  5. I can brew up an archer if you want, there's only one for now and our magic users are overflowing.
  6. I can't seem to find the DS Fire animation used in the Fire Emblem IV: Inheritors of the Crusade hack which is supposed to be downloadable at FEUniverse, but the link is broken. I know the animation has been posted a while ago, but why isn't it on Klokinator's topic or FEUniverse? Did they make it private or something?
  7. Someone's been studying their Chinese celestial avatars.
  8. Yes yes yes yes yes. I hope it adds new features, I really liked the -- stats in the first one.
  9. Except that Monks don't have an innate +30 Critical rate...
  10. I'm going with the Japanese way of finding your affinity, Kab is born in October, blood type 0, so she's Wind affinity and it fits her personality. Also, maybe an Anima tome that changes type depending on the terrain? That would be pretty complex, but it's just an idea.
  11. Well, writing up the plot and main villain is probably the most crucial step for now, after that, you should develop the hack on a technical and graphical level. Keep in mind that you'll probably need TONS of custom portraits. But I'm just as noob-ish as you, an experienced hacker would have better tips, I still hope I helped.
  12. The portraits are too saturated and red-ish, I suggest you don't stray too much outside of FE7's pre-established palette.
  13. The plot is a rather interesting take on the whole "big evil war kill good guy win yay" trope and the setting sounds like a post-apocalyptic world, which offers endless possibilities, like the characters being refused entrance to one of the peaceful countries, outside forces and much more. My only complain is that Annette looks a bit too frail and small to wield axes.
  14. We barely managed to make something like FE4, much less Awakening. A simple hack that doesn't add skills or uses a premade patch would be easy, but portraits will probably be the hardest part. Battle animations may also be a roadblock.
  15. I was also thinking of making a house or a tent or even an entire village as an NPC unit and every turn it gets burnt by a fire trap, just a thematic little idea.
  16. I can't describe how amazing this is, the skills, animations, maps, portraits-everything is perfect and really does look great.
  17. I added a lot more to Kabocha's profile, like her support habits, her occupation, unique weapon and I removed the whole unique class thing, it made her too special and unique, which I think her staff and skills already do enough of. I'll work on a portrait.
  18. In that case, can someone explain me how to format my sprites?
  19. Getting noticed by Ghast is a dream come true, but I'm sure that's used in FE8 already.
  20. Personally, I don't think traps are worth to use, they're just annoying in most cases. If it makes sense thematically or if they're used as a sort of timer, like saving the unit who's being poisoned/burnt then I think they work nicely.
  21. I edited my original post and added a custom spritesheet of a Nino mage with staves, I just wanted to know if FEXNA also requires animations to be coded like in ROMHacks?
  22. Psychologists don't treat mental illnesses so they aren't the same as psychiatrists, but that's a really neat idea, I added it with a better themed name and a boost to SPD, I just think it fits.
  23. (Copy+pasted from Petitt's post). An absolute self-insert. NAME: Kabocha CLASS: Troubadour APPEARANCE: Short girl, black hair and very dark brown eyes. Darker skin than most characters, but lighter than Jaffar's. Short black hair that's a bit like Leila's, but it's shorter and she wears one of the things Nino does, I forgot the name. She wears a black cape and a short purple dress with black stockings. Has a female pony called Damoiselle. RECRUITMENT: Mid-game to end-game, she's a Nino type thing. BIO: A young flowergirl who doesn't reveal much about herself, yet she's happy to listen to others. PERSONALITY: Intelligent and kind, loves to learn more about others, but she's a bit shy and an introvert so she prefers to analyze people and then make a move. Easily panics and a bit of a klutz. WEAPON RANKS: Staves-D WEAPON RANKS POST PROMOTION: Staves-D Anima-D BASES: Level 3 HP: 15 MAG: 4 SKL: 6 SPD: 7 LCK: 8 DEF: 3 RES: 4 CON: 4? MOVE: 6 MOVE POST PROMOTION: 7 GROWTHS: HP: 60% MAG: 65% SKL: 55% SPD: 45% LCK: 45% DEF: 35% RES: 30% PROMOTION: Valkyrie SKILLS: Something generic plus this: Observe: Depending on the weapon her enemy uses, her DEF or RES gets a +2 bonus. Rose's Thorns: Adjacent allies deal 2 more damage and receive 1 damage less. MAX STATS: HP: 26 MAG: 26 SKL: 24 SPD: 23 LCK: 22 DEF: 16 RES: 18 Quotes: 0-1: T-This can't be... 2-3: This won't work... 4-5: Ah,I'm making progress! 6: I...I'm doing great! Custom weapon: Fleur Baguette - Proof rank Staff. A very pale dark green staff with a purple orb-thing. Uses: 35 Hit: -- Critical: -- Range: 1 Weight: -- It's like Fortify, but it only heals units adjacent of her. Heals as much as a Heal staff. Obtained by visiting the village from which she comes out of to join your army. Given by the villagers, for the "girl with the flowers.". Supports: During supports she often tries to understand the other person by asking them questions and leaving after they answer, possibly allowing for some funny scenes. She doesn't speak much about herself and sometimes brings up the topics of beauty during more serious and thought provoking supports and food during the less serious ones. She supports with various characters, including the more "mysterious and edgy" ones, trying to break them out of their shell. She also likes making subtle references to official Fire Emblem games.
