I feel bad that I haven't uploaded anything in ages...sorry about that guys. I've started my a levels now and it's a lot of work to manage at the moment! But since so much time has passed, by now I've already made a new demo of my game with lots of new stuff, like a new boss battle in sector 2, a full opening sequence showing what happens before the beginning of the game and finally I've redone all my player sprites so they're not as pillow shaded. https://dinar87.itch.io/dinar87s-metroidvania-demo/devlog/98807/new-demo-better-shaded-player-sprites-and-some-other-stuff old player sprites new ones, the far leg is properly shaded now, and the armor pieces are not pillow shaded any longer either, same for the rest of the sprite in general...this was done for EVERY SINGLE ONE of my player's sprites!! Here's a link to a bigger gif of the newer sprites in action... https://twitter.com/Dinar8777/status/1167386128107868160

What classes does the game need the most right now?
Dinar87 replied to Gwyn's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
We REALLY could use another infantry Master tier class or two...that'd be awesome!! -
I think FE 3h is actually my FAVORITE in the entire series, better than the radiance games and the gba games even! I just love the story, characters, world building, and that GODLY music!!! Seriously, listen to "Fierce as Fire" battle preparations music...it's really good!! I honestly never saw it coming...I don't think anyone expected this game to be THIS good when it was first shown off at e3 2018...but even with the mediocre graphics and some other minor stuff, it's easily my favorite in the franchise because I just love the atmosphere so much. Now, if only IS could get onto making those Judral remakes...yeah that'd be epic!

Apparently not all the master tier classes were shown off in the IGN video, and that there's a small handful of other unique classes outside of them....what sort of stuff do you think we'll see outside of the main lord's promotions? https://imgur.com/vG5OGCk

The Fire Emblem 3 Houses General Questions Thread
Dinar87 replied to Captain Karnage's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I don't know if anyone knows this yet, but what's the frame rate like in three houses gameplay sections? I love things like FE GBA's animations and the high frame rate of those battles really helps make it seem cooler and stuff (as well as all the spinning weapons). Obviously 60 isn't like "needed" for me to properly enjoy the game, but it'd be nice. -
They didn't show all the classes, like promoted time skip dmitri for example...maybe there's even more?

HYYYPPPEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

0_o A-and it looks like there's space for ANOTHER tier beyond that!?

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Preview by Engadget
Dinar87 replied to Mapina's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
So it all sounds pretty promising! Shame about the lackluster amiibo integration, but eh whatever, I'm just glad the main game itself is really good. -
Holy crap punished Dmitri looks badass as hell with those combat animations!!

How are we all preparing for 3H's release?
Dinar87 replied to HappyHawlucha.'s topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Currently I'm obsessing over this game, repeatedly watching gameplay footage and trailers for literal hours on end...I can't wait! -
80 Hours in one path - 200 across the three
Dinar87 replied to ArsSanctum's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
This game for me went from a huge "meh" to becoming what will probably end up being my favorite fire emblem game ever made, topping my previous favorite (path of radiance). And if the content we're seeing lasts for 80 hours!? HYPE!! -
Personally I love the feeling when you promote units in fire emblem games, and it looks like we're in for a real treat with FE:3H as there seem to be many, many class tiers this time...even a suspected tier above "Advanced" shown here (there's a scroll bar on the right which seems to indicate another row below advanced, at least). If we do end up getting a "Master" tier then that'd be epic as hell. Would we get dread fighters, true blades, marshals, etc... again? I hope so!!

Most video games have things that defy some logical sense and reality, including fire emblem with it's magic and dragons and various things. I'd take a fun and interesting, but illogical game easily over a ""logical"" but uninteresting one. Again, I clearly stated this was about me not liking the story type three houses is going for...but then you come in with your "it's called strategy" comment (even though I wasn't discussing logical sense but rather what type of story I prefer).

I like the small cast of characters we have so far
Dinar87 replied to FoliFF's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Quality over quantity I say. -
Yeah that's what I hoping happens; chapter gauntlets and other time periods where you can't return to the monastery so easily, essentially making the monastery into a limited resource itself. I think having limited access would make each visit to your home base feel far more important and precious, since you wouldn't know when you'd get another chance.
-
My biggest fear of this game is that the story would be trapped into being at or near the monastery, as the developers won't throw away their work all of a sudden. I'm not talking about if you can still access the monastery but the story moves forward in different locations despite this, but rather that the story LITERALLY never lets you leave it or go very far away, so that you still have access to the monastery's mechanics. I think a lot of things about the game look amazing like the combat animations and character designs, and having time skip portrait changes seems awesome! But I am worried that the game's story structure won't be that interesting to me personally if we're confined to this one specific place for the whole game pretty much. Hopefully they prove me wrong though!
