  1. Hmm, yeah, that looks super weird. Kind of like how they'd often use hammers like normal axes in Awakening.
  2. I skipped out on most of the pre-release stuff, so I wouldn't know. Sorry I can't help. 😕
  3. Then I don't get it. Aren't all the red exclamation mark fights three ways? I haven't done too many of those.
  4. I like to think that none of Fates is canon. As in, some kind of multiverse shenanigans?
  5. Yeah, I can tell why. Seems like a really genuine, nice dude, with a big love for the fandom. Thanks for doing these by the way. 🙂
  6. Pretty sure that's exactly what they were talking about actually. 😉 Past Miklan's chapter, there's usually one or two per month.
  7. I'm fine with it too. Ingrid's post-skip hair is the one I can't stand.
  8. Sounds good to me. 🙂 While I never thought that much about the characters' sexuality beyond "what girl can I marry as female Byleth", I like what you did here. My headcanon to your headcanon is that Linhardt is asexual because anything else would be too much of a bother for him. 😛
  9. Harsh opinion. While I personally like the game a lot, I can somewhat respect what you're written here. One thing I'd like to bring up though: fishing for 20 minutes each month really isn't necessary. I hit A+ in Crimson Flower of all routes without doing that, instead only fishing during Fish of Mystery and Golden Fish events.
  10. No matter which route you go, I highly recommend focusing on Authority. Dimitri gets Battalion Wrath at C, and then Battalion Vantage at A. Give him a Short Spear and go to town.
  11. There is, actually. You can get them either from Nordsalat Seeds or Pale-Blue Flower Seeds. More seeds and/or better cultivation increases the chance you'll get one, but it's possible with just a single seed and no cultivation. According to the guide, the best recipe is probably 5x Nordsalat Seeds with Pegasus Blessings.
  12. After a certain point in the game you can talk to faculty in the monastery and have them teach Byleth in a certain skill (like Sword, Reason, etc.), similar to how Byleth can raise weapon ranks of his students during the week. This raises their weapon rank and gives support points.
  13. Not sure I agree with that. Zanado Treasure Fruit is indeed nearly impossible (I tried religiously on my last playthrough and got exactly one), but Angelica, which also gives Magic +1, was quite plentiful for me. As long as you get lucky and find the right seeds in the monastery early on, you should be good.
  14. Fair enough. I was thinking with the system as it is now, with spells recharging after every battle.
  15. Not to mention Bullheads are pretty easy to catch even with mid-tier bait.
  16. I'd argue that SoV's system is even more fun than this one, with the only limitation on spells being HP cost (which is easily played around). I can see why they had to change that, but I won't deny I miss it.
  17. You could still have tomes and restrict their use to magic classes though. --- I personally like it quite a bit. The system as it is now encourages making use of your spells due to them refreshing after every battle, where earlier games encouraged keeping rare staves like Physic and Rescue around for when you really needed them (which might never happen). The limited uses per battle balance this high availability out, and the personalized spell lists have the same effect. Imagine every single magic user having access to Warp. That said, I do remember someone here proposing sort of a middle ground a while back, with certain spells being tied to classes (i.e. mastering Mage gives you the Fire spell permanently) and others being locked to certain characters (so Linhardt would always learn Physic at Faith C). I think that approach is even better than what we have now.
  18. Are you sure about that? Because mine is set to English. Actually, it's not. I don't know why I thought it was. Weirdly enough, my physical copy of Three Houses came in English (thank God).
  19. I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to confirm this. Happened to me yesterday and the Prayer Ring is really the only logical explanation I could find.
  20. That I get, but how does using combat arts conserve durability? If anything it's the opposite. Hang on, your point is that using them effectively rather than just spamming them is what saves durability, right? (I tend to be an idiot, don't mind me)
  21. Oooh, they retreat? Well that changes things. I didn't touch the guy precisely because I thought that no matter what I'd do, those mages would smack me, and I didn't have a Rescue user alive. Killing the dude next time I play.
  22. Cut AM route split? Care to enlighten me about that? This is the first I'm hearing of it.
  23. On that note, how do you safely kill that guy anyway? Some kind of Warp / Rescue shenanigans or something? Topic: Casualties are a part of war. Rest in peace, Ashe.
