Pretty much the same for me, except I think I recruited Heath and benched Priscilla once she fell behind. Also didn't bother using Bartre for some reason.

Usually, build 3 for both. But... My Normal/Classic run had a build 3 guy (Luck+/HP-) who married Maribelle and ended up looking like Brady down to the hair. Never again.

Building on FE13: - Full magic system: The Fire/Thunder/Wind triangle of effectiveness, as well as the Anima/Dark/Light triangle. The Bishop would be brought back, with less offensive capability but improved use of staves (through a skill?) and good defenses. - More customization - outfit option and maybe eye color. This would give the DLC characters more variety, as they seem to be built on the custom character engine. - Special classes for the DLC lords, like how Prince Marth got the Lodestar class.

Yeah, that's where I ran into that nasty skill. Now I regret not keeping Vaike as a Warrior for those extra five levels before using that Second Seal. Oh well, it will be good experience for those fragile archers and mages. I saw that blasted Counter skill on enemy Warriors. I play on Hard/Casual, because it brings back good memories of Shining Force (which I played some time before discovering Fire Emblem, in the Sega Smash Pack I bought when I was a big Sonic fan), and because it makes leveling up the underleveled units much easier - getting in some levels before getting KO'd. Don't jump on me, I would gladly take the permanent death of Fire Emblem over the silly turn system of Shining Force, and I love the My Unit / Avatar system. Two things that bug me: men still can't be Pegasus Knights and Priests/Clerics can't just bonk enemies with their staff.

First of all, I couldn't help myself with the username. I first heard of Fire Emblem when my babysitter's younger brother was playing it (Blazing Sword). Got somewhat turned off when I tried Sacred Stones and saw a Pegasus Knight named Vanessa (sharing the name with a girl I had a love-hate relationship). Got turned back on when I played the translation of Genealogy of the Holy War. Really got back into it with Awakening. I hope this is the start of something great.
