  1. Due to how Nintendo has been adding English voice acting in recent Fire Emblem titles, I'm wondering, how would you guys react if Nintendo decided to use Texas based talent for the voice acting in this game?
  2. For the sake of not copy pasting a shit ton of information, everything you need to know can be found here, pairings wise: For those of you who saw the first release, welcome to version 2.0! Major changes I've made since the last update are: All characters names have been changed to reflect the Choose Your Legends event name localization. This is included with the patch. Jaffar is now the father of Lugh and Raigh. However, to prevent their growths from being completely screwed over, I increased all of Jaffar's growths by 5%, as if he was the recipient of Afa's Drops in the Blazing Blade. This leaves both of their magic growths the same as before, which I'm fine with. Lugh no longer starts with a goddess icon. Statwise, Jaffar really beefed the both of them up, so have fun with that Minor text fixes You can now patch this on a clean rom rather than a pretranslated one, the issue with the last release was my mistake. UPDATE V2.1: Thite is now Thea in accordance with Shanna from FE Heroes. UPDATE V2.2: Bartre now has the base stats of a legitimately promoted FE7 Bartre, at the minimum level required to unlock the Karla event. This was done by generating 7 columns of randomly sequenced numbers, and applying a set of those to Bartre's FE7 growth rates 25 times, simulating 25 in-game level ups. 25 level ups (or Level 5 Warrior) is required to recruit Karla, making this a canon thing to do, unless you can argue that Bartre somehow lost his FE7 stats over the generational gap (if you can, discussion's open) The new base stats are: HP/Str/Skl/Spd/Lck/Def/Res/Con/Mov | 50/23/15/14/14/12/4/14/6 Well that's it! I really hope you enjoy this release, as I put lots of time and effort into it. Let me know of any changes you would like to see in version 2.2 (the manga sword and staff are still open for changes)! Canonization v2.2.zip
  3. Do forgive me if there is an specific help section for this kind of stuff on the forums and I could not find it. I'm kinda new here. My problem is that I'm having a bit of trouble trying to emultion FE4 with the Naga translation. I tried updating the patch using Lunar IPS and neither the headered or unheadered patches work, the game just boots up the screen on the screenshot provided and then remains dark forever. the Delta patcher doesn't work for me either, so I'm not really sure what to do. Could anyone help me?
  4. If you've played Conquest, I bet you remember it. This is for strategies of frustrations with it.
  5. I recently saw someone play Fire Emblem 6 and I saw Sages have animations for Dark and Light magic.I'm currently working on a Fire Emblem 7 ROM and I want to give Sages animations with Light and Dark animations in addition to their Anima animation. Does anyone know how I can do that or is their a code I can use to give Sages the animations for Light and Dark Magic
  6. Alrighty all you lovely individuals~ I stumbled across this just now despite having heard news of it awhile ago, only now am I hearing any of the piano arrangements. As a pianist and aspiring Video Game Composer, I absolutely love this trend that happens with Video Games where they create a Piano Collections of pieces from the very game. It's lovely. I can't give any review atm since I'm currently listening to it (and loving it even though I've yet to listen to all these songs from all the games) but I just wanted to share! Here's the link to purchase the actual CD if you'd like, which I highly suggest: EDIT: This album is kinda cheating by having some other instruments with the piano, nonetheless it's GORGEOUS. Also, the Gaiden rendition of the Main Theme is probably my most favorite arrangement of it. Fell in love with it after hearing it in the Shadows of Valentia trailer. There's also another version that's in minor but I can't find it at all. Anyhow, this album's take on it is great <3
  7. In every FE game, the protagonists, specifically the lord characters, are always young; specifically between early teens and... however old Micaiah actually is. And so FE games usually have a element of coming of age in the story: Marth having to deal with becoming ruler of Altea, Roy leading his people while Eliwood's health fails, Ike inheriting the mercenary company much earlier than anyone in the story expected, etc. Quite recently I was thinking about notable older protagonists (by this I mean at least middle-aged), such as Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Agent Gibbs from NCIS, Eddard Stark from season 1 of GoT, etc. That got me thinking; could an older protagonist work in an FE storyline? This is something I mentioned in a reply to a forum topic but then decided it was worth making a topic on. Do you think such a character could work in an FE game, and Why or why not?
  8. So, I am doing a challenge run in FE7 (Blazing Blade). I am only allowed to use the following characters: Pricilla, Wallace, Jaffar, Oswin, Guy, Kent, Nino, Harken, Renault, Lowen, Serra, Raven, Pent, Ninian/Neils, Florina, Hector. I am in chapter 17 at the moment with 2 secret books 1 goddess icon and 1 Dragonshield, any tips in who to use each item? (PS: sorry for Grammar mistakes, english is not my primary language xD)
  9. I just started writing for a new website, and I was lucky enough to interview the immensely talented Rena Strober. Sharing the link with everybody because I figured I'd find plenty of fellow Fates and Rena fans here! Hope you enjoy! https://comedyngaming.com/anime/interview-rena-strober-voice-azura-fire-emblem-fates
  10. Whether you like him or not, I feel like he had some REALLY good ideas and wanted to share them. As for my opinions, copying my comment(with some edits) to here: Here is my personal list: 1.)If there are children, pull a FE4 and have two generations. None of that Deeprealms crap again! Let realtime pass and the children fight their own war(just don't kill off most of the 1st Gen...please. Let them be else where fighting another faction of the enemy or something.) 2.)3rd Tiers. I want them back. They're B.A. Nuff said. 3.)New Artstyle(probably similar to what Echoes has going for it). No offense, while I like the designs of Awakening and Fates, I'm dying for a new deaign style! Please!(I always like the realistic kinda look the Tellius games had!) 4.)Either have no MyUnit, or have a MyUnit that actually feels like a relateable person(a.k.a. Fix it). Do a better Robin. DO NOT DO ANOTHER CORRIN(because Corrin is the main reason I want them gone)!!! 5.)Gaiden Chapters. It'd be cool to experience extra chapters by meeting certain requirements again! 6.)Either have Bonus Experience or the chance to grind via a map. 7.)Either better Reclassing or get rid of it. I'm sorry, but I personally feel like this system is still pretty unbalanced and still a bit broken. I would like it if you had a limit on how many times a unit could reclass. Either 1 or 2 times. After that, you're stuck in that class line for the rest of that playthrough! 8.)Skills take a backseat like in previous games. I personally want Skills to go back to just being "helpers in a fight" then be "determiners in a fight", because I honestly feel like so many skills are somewhat OP(and/or are rather crippling), and with reclassing, you can stick a lot of those OP'ish skills on a lot of characters(possibly at the same time). In the Tellius games, while skills helped, you relied more on you're own power(stats) then skills(that and they didn't make things so complicated and turn a battle on a dime)! 9.)Units can premote either by a master seal or Level 21 like in the Tellius games. It'd make things move a bit smoother and not being unable to promote because a unit reaches Lvl.20 partway through the map and you have not seals. 10.) *Inhale* CHILL OUT WITH THE WAIFU STUFF! PLEASE! I know its unavoidable, but I don't want everything to be waifu central, ok? Awakening, it wasn't too bad. Fates, turned that dial WAAAY up! Keep that down a bit...please? For many people's sake... 11.)Bring durability back, but let weapons be restored like in FE4(it's a good system that I think should come back). 12.)Bring back the forge...a GOOD forge...like in the Tellius games(not what Awakening or especially what Fates brought us)! ...yeah, it's more then 10, but hey, they were important. ,
  11. Ladies and gentlemen, after a short hiatus, I present to you all... Fire Emblem Requiem! Fire Emblem Requiem came pretty much out of nowhere. One day, nobody knew what it was. The day after that, it was a totally completed hack and everyone was surprised. The synopsis is thus: On the continent of Emire, 17 years ago, a thirteen year war (commonly referred to as the "Great War") ended as the vassals of a Emperor turned against him to remove him from power and established themselves as separate powers in the mainland, bringing about a new era peace in the lands. This hack follows those in the noble house of Olva and more specifically the two children of the head of the house, Valentine and Ash, as another noble house, Egarde, threatens them by declaring war on them. Meanwhile, a more sinister threat grows to present itself. As for the hack's quality? Other specifics? I have no idea. I've done my best to keep myself spoiler-free, and so I'm going into this blind. We'll be finding things out as they happen! Won't that be exciting? Here's the topic for the hack, if you want to play it for yourself! Now, without further ado: Fire Emblem Requiem: Prelude: I'll post growths next time, this is getting long as it is.
  12. Hi, my first time on this forum. I decided to give Genology of the Holy war another chance after Sigurd being anounced for Fire Emblem Heroes. Looking at Sigurd's weapons, he has a Iron sword stronger than a steel sword. I checked the weapons in this site, and noticed they have diferent stats. Are his starting swords forged or something? Or maybe just a translate error? Steel sword Acc 80 Mgt 10 Rng 1~1 Wgt 3 Iron sword Acc 80 Mgt 12 Rng 1~1 Wgt 12
  13. I received Birthright and Conquest as separate games/cartridges for my birthday a little while ago and I've beaten Birthright and Conquest. I recently purchased Revelations through my Birthright cartridge and it really annoys me that when I check the records hall it shows my Revelation and Birthright cutscenes, but not the Conquest ones. Is there any way to somehow save my file or the cutscenes themselves from Conquest to my DS so that I can watch all three sets of cutscenes on the one cartridge?
  14. This is an RP I've been trying to launch for a long time now (and by 'long time', I mean a couple of months). Anyway, this is an interest check to see if anyone's willing to participate as well as a poll since I've whipped up two settings I'm willing to play. Also, this will be a narrative-focused RP so no stats or levels or weapon triangles. (But there will be equipment, classes and a ton of references to other Fire Emblem games) Western Setting "The continent of Arcadia. A land diverse in race but equally tempered in hardship from disaster and tragedy, whether they be natural or unnatural. However, the greatest hardship the Arcadians faced was when the natural decided to do something unnatural. Gaia, the goddess the Arcadians revered as the deity of nature, convinced the mages of the Moon Kingdom to summon her so she could bring boon, bounty and abundance to Arcadia. Unfortunately for the continent, Gaia did none of those. Instead, she immediately leveled her host kingdom and slaughtered most of its citizens with her power and her elemental constructs. The goddess then unleashed numerous nature spirits who then possessed the bodies and skeletons of the dead, making them mindless thralls of Gaia. The goddess then marched eastward with her undead throng, destroying everything in their path. Neither man, nor woman, nor child, nor animal, nor plant were spared from Gaia's fury. It was then when three powers, The Concilium, The Grand Kingdom of Gleivnir and Riberia, formed a mighty alliance to stand against the tide. It was called the League of Arcadia and they waged a long and bloody war against the deity of nature. No heroes or heroines were recorded for there were many who scored significant victories and died heroic deaths. All that was recorded was that the races of Arcadia were firmly united during this hardship. In time, the League managed to push Gaia's forces back to her lair, the remains of the Moon Kingdom, and banish her from the the mortal plane. Many lives were lost and many tears were shed during the war but the Arcadians learned a valuable lesson: That together, they are powerful enough to take on gods. A prosperous peace followed. As the time went by, however, incident upon incident started chipping away at the harmony. Now, the Dwarven Kingdoms, a minor ally during the War of Gaia, are being beset by the growing numbers of bandits and brigands from Riberia, now known as Varjo after a successful rebellion. And the Dwarves are not the type to easily forgive. MAP (Political) The League of Arcadia [spoiler=The Concilium] "Ahhh... The Concilium. A great confederation between small kingdoms to strengthen themselves. Archanea, Barensia, Magi Val, Jugdrali, Tellius, Ereb. These kingdoms were once small, prone to raids and invasion from bigger nations. No longer when their kings and queens came together in the sacred Mount Prism. No longer will their soldiers be crushed easily. No longer will their people fear for their lives every day. No longer will they be dismissed as insignificant tiny countries. No, they are powerful now and they will gladly challenge any who would think so otherwise. But alliances rarely last forever. Differences and ever-increasing feuds between the kingdoms have began chipping at the Concilium's foundations. Will these cracks be fixed? Or will it grow and end this great and vital fellowship?" Other Info - Part of the League Of Arcadia, an alliance formed against the goddess Gaia and her elementals and undead. While that war occurred ages ago, the League decided to stay together long after. - Ruled by the Council of Royals, a gathering of Kings/Queens of The Concilium kingdoms to discuss which laws to enact and what The Concilium should do regarding matters of national importance. - Troops are mostly made out of Fire Emblem classes - Players start in this faction. - I'll leave the royalty and culture of the kingdoms to the players so they have leeway over their characters and do some worldbuilding. If not or if they're done, I'll fill it myself. [spoiler=Grand Kingdom of Gleivnir] "The Gleivnir Kingdom. It was once just a modest kingdom but with a formidable military power and a formidable hierarchy. Nobles rode on steeds and glorified and showered with gifts while the those less fortunate in birth and boon, were left to pick up the leftovers after their Lords and Dukes and Counts. It had been this way since time immemorial until King Wilmgard ascended the throne a few years ago with a haul of changes with him. The nobles heavily objected to these changes in tactics and culture and these grievances was met with a dare from the King himself. If they could conquer an infamous bandit fort with their tactics then he shall let things be and even give compensation for his error for all the nobles of Gleivnir. And so the nobles rode for Wayland Keep, intent on proving their King wrong and quite confident since they outnumbered the vagabonds there five-to-one. Much to their surprise but not to King Wilmgard and those with more sensible heads, the nobles' huge armies were effectively and decisively repulsed. The King's opposition was no more. That little move pulled by Wilmgard is controversial to this day but no one could deny the improving conditions of Gleivnir, progression of technology and its slow but steady expansion into previously remote lands." Other Info - Part of the League Of Arcadia, an alliance formed against the goddess Gaia and her elementals and undead. While that war occurred ages ago, the League decided to stay together long after. - Currently ruled by King Wilmgard along with his second wife Queen Algiery who may have more than human blood running in her veins. - Inspired by Knights in the Nightmare (if you know what that is) - Players cannot come from here [spoiler=Varjo] "Varjo, the fallen kingdom. Generations ago, Varjo was known as Riberia, a kingdom of knowledge and magic and magical knowledge. Many mages and sorcerers consider visiting Riberia an obligation. A pilgrimage of sorts. And with good reason, the magic kingdom has many academies and libraries that can teach an old sage a thing or two. The greatest of which is The Library of Arcadia, a library as big as a palace that is supported by a village. All of these are run by the Chercheurs who, strangely, value technology more than magic. However, everything changed when House Caldeyron led a sudden and quick rebellion against the royal family and successfully overthrew them. The new ruler then changed Riberia and everything it stood for. First, the kingdom was renamed to Varjo. Secondly, the libraries and academies of knowledge and magic were torn down and replaced with blacksmiths and barracks. Thirdly, he concentrated the kingdom's wealth to the capital and left the outlying villages, towns and cities impoverished. When the people began complaining, the new king's newly-outfitted armies quickly put them down with extreme prejudice. Not even the Chercheurs could stand against the Caldeyrons' wrath and were forced to flee from Arcadia itself. The reign of the Caldeyrons soon changed the nation's culture from the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom to the pursuit of bloodshed and slaughter. Roving bandits and brigands filled the Razelian countryside, forcing the many towns and villages to form their own militias who could defend against banditry and also do some banditry themselves to support the hometown. All of Arcadia mourned for Riberia's passing and Varjo's membership in the League is now being questioned by many. Still, also a great many point out that Varjo's ferocious warriors have been a great help dealing with any stray undead and feral monsters." Other Info - Part of the League Of Arcadia, an alliance formed against the goddess Gaia and her elementals and undead. While that war occurred ages ago, the League decided to stay together long after. - Currently ruled by Joshua Caldeyron and his sister Queen, Leyanne Caldeyron (not married though) - Inspired by Chaos from Warhammer Fantasy - Players cannot come from here The Others [spoiler=Dwarves] Dwarves are a proud folk who are quick to temper and easy to offend, with a love of gems, gold and other precious metals. They are short, generally no taller than five-and-a-half foot in height but are broad with powerful arms and stout legs. Dwarves are master craftsmen who have invented steam engines and gunpowder weaponry. Much of this learning has come from eons of carving out their homes in the mountains; the strongholds under Arcadia's Edges were undisputable wonders of the world - massive underground cities known as ‘Holds’, and in the lower levels great industrial centres in the form of smelteries, forges and mine works digging ever deeper into the roots of the mountains. Dwarves do not call upon Magic in the same way as the humans of Arcadia. To them, magic is a tangible thing, something that can be worked into axes, stone or even cannonballs. This is rune magic and Runeforgers, the masters of the art, are adept at creating arcane devices and weapons of great power. Other Info - Non-playable race - Inspired by the Dwarves of Warhammer and LOTR [spoiler=Moon Kingdom] The Moon Kingdom is located south of the Dwarven regions separated by a huge but passable mountain range called the Great Divide. The kingdom is known for its fondness for the Moon and also as the source of the tragedy of summoning Gaia into Arcadia. When the war ended, the Moon Kingdom was left to rebuild itself. But rebuild they did and it has mostly returned to its former glory, even if it is no longer a magical kingdom that rivaled Riberia. Something that was okay for the Moon people. After all, it was magic that brought forth Gaia. While the new royalty and official law has no qualm with magic, it was now the culture of the Moon Kingdom to refrain from magic. Thus, only a select few are mages in the Kingdom of the Moon, most of whom are in the esteemed Lot Order. Now, the kingdom focused more on technology like the Dwarves, creating some sort of fellowship between them. Helping on that end is one Lot Knight who is the pillar of breakthrough upon breakthrough. The Moon Kingdom has then progressed into a society radically different from Arcadia in practically most aspects. Other Info: - Players cannot come from here. - Has Napoleonic Era military mixed with Medieval. - Ruled by Queen Bethany Vinderion, a frail royal but firm and courageous. Also a Taguel Eastern Setting "The great island of Iapana. Not as large as a continent but its history is just as colorful. After all, humans are not the only ones who live in Iapana. Yokai and Ayakashi and Mamono and Mononoke also live in the huge island. Their relationship with the humans vary. Sometimes, down to the individual. However, Iapana is not free from conflict. The most prestigious and influential family in Iapana, the Oja, always had problems with the succession of its heads. The worst was when a full-fledge civil war occurred that encompassed most of Iapana. It was only stopped when a powerful figure laid waste to both belligerents and went on to become the First Emperor of Iapana, laying down rules of his succession so that the mistakes of the Oja are not repeated: The Emperor or Empress can only have one legitimate child to succeed him or her. If there is another and his or her blood is undeniable, the Emperor's power is nullified and power will be given back to the Oja. The rules are not foolproof but the reign of the Emperors is too young for the flaws to be exploited. But the succession crisis is not the only conflict that is plaguing Iapana's people. The First Emperor had enlisted the aid of Iapana's holy Ryus and the sacred Inari, both of whom are the subjects of worship in Iapana since time immemorial. Their influence increased exponentially thanks to the First Emperor but their days of glory and greatness swiftly turned to days of suspicion and schemes. Both the faiths started suspecting each other of conspiracy and both the faiths began having ambitions of being the one true faith in Iapana. And that is not all, from the north are ships of savage bandits and brigands that raid and harass the northern towns and villages. No one knows who they are or where they came from but everyone agrees that they are a problem. The priority of the problem, however, is a different story. Now Empress Yue reigns, a ruler not as powerful nor as assertive as the previous Emperors. The Oja have risen back to prominence and while this is concerting for the Empress, it seems the family is still plagued by the problems that brought its downfall. Adding to that is the worsening feud between the Inari and the Ryu and the increasing boldness of the northern raiders." MAP [spoiler=Oja Clan] "The Oja were great, once. They could be great again. Educated, urbane, sophisticated and worldly, they were consummate courtiers and scholars. They ruled most of Iapana, either directly or indirectly. All of that power slowly slipped away from the family after the death of Tarrant Oja who, against tradition, named his second son heir. Since then the family divided and then quarrelled as to who would really become the head of the Oja Clan, and the quarrels became virtually open warfare that enveloped most of Iapana. The last civil war was stopped by the First Emperor who, surprisingly, spared them and made them swore not to have such a conflict ever again. There was no curse or guard that would prevent this though and so the Oja flourished and had dreams of becoming rulers of Iapana once more. Unfortunately, the succession problems the plagued the Oja once more. The lack of a curse against such matters apparently proved to be more damaging to the family than to the Emperor." [spoiler=The Fox] "The Inari are one of the major forces that assisted the First Emperor in defeating the Oja. Their strengths lie in their guile, espionage and clever magics. Sophisticated, cunning and ruthless, the Inari concoct schemes and plots against those who oppose them. After the Oja have been defeated, it seems the Ryus have taken this role despite their alliance during the First Emperor's reign." Other Info - Has access to Kitsune troops which can either be shapeshifters or just plain fighters who are more physically stronger than humans. - More sneakier and proficient in magic than the Ryus [spoiler=The Dragon] "The Ryus are one of the major forces that assisted the First Emperor in defeating the Oja. Their strengths lie in their prowess in combat, physical superiority and stalwart bravery. The Ryus are proud warriors. Their Shirohebi servants are unrivalled in their skills in battle, outstripping others in physical attributes. Perhaps they lack the political and magical powers of their Inari rivals, but the Ryus more than make up for this by being an iron fist in a fistfight." Other Info - Has access to Shirohebi, creatures human in the upper body but a snow white snake for the bottom half. They are servants and troops of the draconic Ryus and are more physically stronger than humans and Kitsunes. - More sturdier and proficient in close combat than the Inari ~~~~~~~TECHNICAL STUFF~~~~~~ RULES [spoiler=Character Sheet] Appearance: (Picture or prose, it matters not. 16. Throughout the past 27 years, there have been 14-17 entries in the popular Fire Emblem franchise. Deep tactical gameplay and resource management continued to provide refreshing distractions from the main draw of the series, the characters. Due to a lack of storage space, earlier installments had to rely solely on the characters' designs to endear them to players. Later games allowed characters to form deeper relationships with each other and more importantly with you, the player. After the recent 3DS entries, user interest in these characters skyrocketed to an all time high. You don't have to work at Intelligent Systems to know that it was high time to monetize this interest, and here we are with Fire Emblem Heroes. Well, that's how I assumed it went down anyways. Fire Emblem Heroes is one of the most cynical cash grabs I've had the pleasure of playing in recent memory. It takes peoples' investment with beloved characters and forces them to either abandon them and use the best people available to them or spend an egregious sum of money to obtain all of their favourites and then spend even more to make them viable. If that wasn't enough, it arbitrarily limits play time via a Stamina meter and in some ways, is less user friendly than NES Fire Emblem (e.g. no map preview, no method of re-positioning your units before the map begins). And do you know what the worst part is? I can't get this game out of my head. For all of its flaws, it is a fairly decent approximation of Fire Emblem gameplay on a smaller scale. It even adds some new additions of its own, such as a greater emphasis on Weapon Triangle and an interesting variation of the skill system used in other FE games. It also incentives frequently playing through use of the *groan* Stamina meter but more interestingly with daily bonuses & missions, gathering shards through the training tower, visiting the arena (up to three times per day) for EXP and long term rewards for consistent wins, and the promise of future content on the horizon. Also the presentation values are really good! I really like the character art (for the most part), and the map/battle animations are pretty adorable as well. High production values are par for the course for Gatchapon games, but it's nice that they put effort into making the gameplay enjoyable as well. All of this just makes the Free 2 Play elements all the more egregious in my opinion, but I digress. The purpose of this thread is to simply catalog my experience playing through this game, partially for other's amusement and partially because this will make me consider playing FE Heroes work and hopefully curb my enthusiasm for it (preferably before I drop any dosh on it). For the record, this is on a new file that I started yesterday. This means that I'm somewhat at a disadvantage from people who've been playing since launch, as I'm missing about 10 days worth of freebies (23 orbs if I'm doing my math right, which is enough for a full pull and then some), to speak nothing of all of that lost time. That kind of blows! I'm already regretting doing this.
  17. Uh... Hello everyone. I'm not sure what to type here. XD One thing you must know about me is that I'm a vore lover. Not quite a vorephile, no no no, don't get me wrong there. I just find it fun to roleplay. Make fun aof me and harrass me for it all you want, but I'm sadly used to it. People have gone so far as to tell me to kill myself for liking it, even. Why am I not on Eka's Portal, a forum made for vore RPs? Because everyone there likes it as a sex thing. I just RP it for fun. I just find it interesting. But enough about that, I am a huge fan of Fire Emblem: Fates. I enjoy roleplaying, as mentioned earlier. Even though I am a girl, I enjoy playing as Laslow, Niles, and Saizo the most, though I am practicing Charlotte a bit. I am willing to take a crack at playing anyone, though. I love to do RPs over PM or email! PM me if you're interested in an RP, I love all sorts of roleplays. I can also give my email over PM as well. I am also a shameless shipper. XD I am even willing to RP with boy/boy and girl/girl pairings. Other fandoms I am in are Pokemon, Hetalia, and Danganronpa. Nice to meet you guys, and I hope to see you guys in my PM box for roleplays! EDIT: Also, where do you go to request RPs, anyway? Is there a place for that here?
  18. This isn't a Skill Request Thread. If you are looking for specific skills, go to one of the Skill Request Threads like this one: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=61825&hl= Post here any skill combinations/skill sets that you (or someone you know) thought of. Write for what character is the skill set, for what class, if you do have/use the skill set, and how to use the character. Try to avoid including hacked skills. The children can have any non-enemy-exclusive skills because they can inherit any skills their parents have, and you can save the character with their skills if you defeat Anankos. If you come up with a better combination of skills quote your original previous post and write what you would change. Don't be afraid of commenting about a skill set; constructive criticism is always good (just write a real explanation of why you would like for it to be different). If you did not make the skill set by yourself, please, remember to give credit to the original creator. WARNING: THIS THREAD WILL CONTAIN OPINIONS. NOT EVERYTHING WRITTEN HERE IS A FACT, SO DO NOT START SAYING WHAT IS STATISTICALLY THE BEST SET OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. BE RESPECTFUL. These are the skill sets I have come up with: 1) Charlotte as a Berserker (A Berserker's Axe can help with this set if used right, but Killer Axe is practically a necessity): Vantage, Death Blow, Strength +2, Axefaire, and Swordbreaker. This set is used by getting Charlotte to 50% HP and then hoping she gets crits, so she will need as much skill and luck as possible (I expect that max strength is a given). This set is not recommended for attacking other castles because of the effects of the building in castle battles makes it VERY hard to crit. I have Death Blow, Axefaire, and Vantage. 2) Veloria as a Wolfssegner (Beastrune will be the most efficient weapon for this set): Beastbane, Trample, Certain Blow, Poison Stike, and Grisly Wound. This set is a physical tank killer; use Poison Strike and Grisly Wound to deal damage after every battle to the tanks. Trample and Beastbane are for dealing extra damage to most units (everyone by mounted dragon units). Certain Hit is just to not miss. I am still looking for ways to make this set a little better, but no such luck right now. I have everything here except for Poison Strike. 3) Benny as a General or Great Knight (if you don't want/can't use Boots on Benny): Defence +2, HP +5, Wary Fighter, Lancefaire, and Heartseeker. This set is based around the idea that Benny will hit practically anything it battles thanks to Heartseeker + Fierce Mien (Benny's personal skill). Also, Def and HP are what keeps Generals alive (alongside Wary Fighter), so why not some more of that. Lancefaire is totally replaceable for any other skill you would like. I have everything here except for Heartseeker. 4) Shiro as a Spearmaster (I want him to be a Spearmaster to have a higher Skill-Cap and also a passive crit bonus): Hoshidan Unity, Astra, Rend Heaven, Quixotic, and either Luna. This set is just to attack and hope he procs one of his skills, so don't use any lances that block him from using his skills (Peri's Lance > Javelin and no Bronze/Brass Weapons). Any aggressive trigger skills can be put here in place of Luna, Rend Heaven and Astra (e.g.: Vengeance and Aether). I suggest not giving Shiro a Bolt Naginata either for the same reason for the Javelin. I have the whole set. Everything edited is in bold.
  19. So, I have a project I'm currently making that involves the newer games, but I can't say what it is yet. So, out of curiosity amongst the veteran fans, which FE game do you guys hate more? Awakening or Fates as a whole? I even created a straw poll which can be found here
  20. So I've finished my first custom mugshot and I want some tips: I need tips in drawing better hair, and maybe eyebrows, also clothes. The clothes are supposed to be like hana's and hinata's without their armor.
  21. If you've talked to me for any long length of time I'm pretty sure I'd have probably mentioned how much I like the Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi games, which the former two got me into two historical points I really like to actually study. Hyrule Warriors, was well a surprise back on the Wii U, it showed us that FE Warriors, was actually a possibility, and lo and behold, something I had as a thought 10 years ago is now actually a thing. Now because I'm such a huge fan of both franchises, I want to make some theories or predictions, bare with me. I'm not saying any of these will happen, or will have a huge chance, i'm just having a little bit of fun, and I felt it'd be good for discussion. Side Note: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1333672 Direct on FE Warriors will be shown on the 18th 1. The Outrealms will be used as a central plot device - Warriors games tend to either be not that heavy on plot, or be based on historical events, I think we can expect at least something OK, no getting hyped for the best story ever, but character interactions will most likely be prominent. 2. The Support System and/or Pair Up will be used - Warriors Orochi introduced using 3 characters in a rotation that you could switch between on the fly, with FE's pair up system or support system stuff, you could easily do this as a pair system, with the other character giving bonuses to a characters movement/attack speeds, power, elemental damage or anything 3. The Level Up System will be akin to Fire Emblem, including Promotions - While Hyrule Warriors took a ridiculous extreme to leveling up, with 255 being the cap (giving me Star Ocean flashbacks here), I feel like Koei will try to impliment the FE leveling up system we are more familiar with, with promotions granting potential new weapons and costumes. 4. While there will probably be a good amount of characters from Awakening and Fates do not be discouraged - Koei is very inclusive and I expect mostly every FE to get something down the line, be it either in the base game or DLC they might also go off that character poll from some years back where Fin was like 8th, they also really adore series references as seen in Hyrule Warriors, such as basing a stage on one line from Ruto in Ocarina of Time, about Sheik saving her. 5. If characters use similar weapons, they will use very different styles - Koei is also super good about this one, Dynasty Warriors has near 30 characters who use a variety of swords and they all stand out from each other very well, so no "Oh we can't have more than 1 swordie or spear user etc etc" 6. There will be an Original Character - Hyrule Warriors and some of their other Warrior spin off games, aren't afraid to add in someone of their own design, this also could mean a Cipher Card character appearance instead however. 7. Potential Empire Mode or a Mode thats like an FE styled tactical map - My friend and I were discussing this and felt they might do it as a bonus mode, have like challenge maps with your "units" being the playable characters and when you click to attack, you go into a small Warriors fight, Dynasty Warriors Advanced worked very much like this. 8. All 6 Smash Characters Will Likely be there - Marth, Ike, Robin, Lucina, Roy and Corrin are easy choices for this and will all probably be used, it also gives their Amiibo more functionality 9. Old Archetypes will probably be referenced or used - The Jeigan, The Est, The Christmas Cavs, The Camus, you know those archetypes, I expect to see Koei use all of them, maybe even multiples of them. 10. Forging and My Castle will likely be used - Warriors Orochi 3 had a Base Camp where you could walk around, buy weapons and talk to the other characters, build up support stuff, I wouldn't put it past FE Warriors to do something like this. 11. There will be at least one character per fire emblem class - This is probably one of the less likely ones, but it'd be great to see at least one character per every FE class (Master Knight Leif anyone?). 12. Chrom, Marth or an Original Avatar will be the defacto main character - Unless they decide to do a CAC who acts as the main character, (Koei isn't a stranger to Create-A-Character systems), Chrom who was shown prominently in the first teaser, or Marth will be the character who gets the most focus and most weapon types in the game, much like how Link did in Hyrule Warriors although Marth doesn't have nearly as much to go off of as Link did, I'm sure Koei wants to give him something special. 13. The Black Knight, Hardin or Camus, will be the "Lu Bu" character - Lu Bu is a fierce warrior from history who Koei made a super badass and continue to do so, he usually is super hard to kill, but really OP in the players hands, The Black Knight fits this bill most in my honest opinion, but I could see arguments for people such as Hardin, Camus, Eldigan, etc. 14. Expect the Unexpected - Koei doesn't go by traditional picks, half the time they'll pick some darkhorse favorite, or someone really goofy who just seems to stand out, so I'd be willing to bet we will see some oddball fighter in the mix, say like Merlinus or some other character who could easily be a joke character (Zola?). 15. Maps Will Likely Be based on popular Fire Emblem locales used in Awakening DLC and Fan Vote, and musical remixes will be really rock based - Self explanatory. 16. Costumes - Koei games love alternate costumes and I wouldn't put it past them to do like FE1 Marth, or Ryoma dressing up like his Father and tons of other cool costumes, likely will get some Smash references and various character promotions as well, Ike could have Lord, Vanguard, Hero etc. Edit: 17. The more likely character choices are probably the ones they picked for the bonus FE13 card characters - I think this is kind of self explanatory, it might be part of their roster process to look through these anyways regardless. So is there any of these you like? Maybe you really don't like one thing I mentioned was possible, I love discussing these things.
  22. I figured I'd share the Fire Emblem Fanfic that I've been working on, Fire Emblem Truly Awake. It's a self insert story that I've been working on for a couple of years now, and just posted chapter 27 earlier today. Feel free to give me criticism, though I'd prefer constrictive criticism. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10055108/1/Fire-Emblem-Truly-Awake
  23. So about these special maps how do I go about getting them.
  24. I was watching an episode of Mangs Fire Emblem 6 Pick My Edits run and I saw that their was a mage that had a Grafcalibur tome instead of an Aircalibur tome. I was wondering how do you change the name of weapons in the GBA series and if so, what program do you use to change it? I would really like to know.
