It transforms Donkey Kong Country into a boss rush. Can you make it through all 7 bosses unscathed? The title screen has been altered to make use of Mode 3 (256-color layer 1)' date=' just like in the Japanese version of DKC. Exiting the title screen leads you to... [img']http://mattrizzle.pac.am/img/dkc_boss_blitz/dkc_boss_blitz_2.png[/img] ...the Options Menu. In addition to some of the options you'd expect, you can choose the Kongs' colors. There are 8 palette sets, including the two in the original game. The stopwatch timer is based on code from Super Mario Kart (its functionality) and the DKC Competition Edition (its display). Your times and hits are recorded during game play. Beat all of bosses or lose a life, and you will be taken to... ...this results screen, which displays the recorded information. If you defeated all the bosses, your total time will also be here. Though the final boss should be much much harder than the normal game IMO, to make it hella epic (since a boss rush usually takes out the plot which makes battles epic, IMO). Give the PAL version a try. K.Rool's timing was adjusted when messing with the 50hz/whatever syncing thingies. It's a bit more difficult than the U.S./JAP copies. EDIT: And if anyone's in more of a bossrush mood and haven't heard of it, there's a bossrush mode hack for one of the GBA metroid games, or maybe it was both of them.
