nano Posted January 23, 2013 Share Posted January 23, 2013 The ogre bones are good to have in a farming game where you spend many turns visiting all the dungeons and raising commanders. It's useless for any fast game though. There is captain's guard which makes for a good platform for 9999 troops, also the warrior squad which is decent on charge warriors. The textbooks are always good to have too. I'll refrain from more tips for now. I read these strategies from a Chinese forum so they are all in Chinese, but maybe I'll translate some over when I get free time. Day 21: Hello Forehead-chan... I mean Magic. Action Fan 1: I will never not enjoy this scene. Action Fan 2: Action Fan 3: Administration: We finally have a full complement. It's actually a good idea to unequip them currently though, as Kenshin will plot repulse them and force you to retreat from Sado until the coup. Goodbye Ran. Just so you know, in your route I always let you get with Souun. Goodbye Rizna, if you weren't required for Magic's arrival, you wouldn't have lasted this long. Goodbye random non-EGP lady. NB: I am dismissing all these people in order to hire all of my captured cavalry. Even the man. I need to be able to hit 3000 troops, and I don't want to spend a lot of money. Enemy Phase: Day 22: Start of turn event Just a scripted Rance Affection +1, but since he was sitting at 7 that translates into free levels. Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: I don't remember all the possible Hot Spring locations. It could be here, it could be in Edo, maybe a handful of other provinces. It's determined randomly at the start of the game. Action Fan 3: Battle Permits: Still no. Enemy Phase: Day 23: Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: This unlocks Suzume's clone technique. I get Ogre bones, and don't care. The event will go in the start of turn chain, and activate for free next turn. Action Fan 3: Battle Permits: Still no. Enemy Phase: Yukihime induced, I believe. Also, if you didn't dismiss Katsuie, it will try to get you to heal his old wound. etc. etc. Needless to say, it's kind of a bitch to make sure the Action Fan bonus shows up on the list. Administration: Requip your BPs. Goodbye unfortunate passive skill possessor. Battle Permits: Hell no, Kensei. This is enough for the required 3 on Tanegashima and 2 on Sado. Tanegashima Phase: Ordinarily I would have scummed out of this, but that monk's usefulness was about at an end anyway. Uesugi Phase: Day 25: Start of turn event is a Kiku purple. We're scraping bottom of the barrel for them here, I guess. Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: If you have 6 open commander slots and 10 spare NP you get these easy to clear shitty troops thanks to 56. Action Fan 3: I send for the other line of Reinforcements, because why not, I need commanders and I can clear them and point them. I also use this other textbook I found awhile back. Action Fan 4: Necessary to be at war for a few turns for the Duel option to appear. Battle Permits: Should be able to completely invade Izumo and Iga. Mouri Phase: Iga Phase: Ignore them if you don't have the troops. Day 27: Start of turn event informs us Akashi plans to declare war on us. We're given a timer if I hover over his country, but honestly I couldn't care les. Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: If only I had captured Ikkyu... Action Fan 3: Action Fan 4: I do a Kiku purple event here, it probably would have come through in start-of-turn eventually, so maybe I wasted a move here, but I was running out of things to think of doing. Battle Permits: Make sure you have enough focus on either Senkan Nagato or Akaheru to capture it. Mouri Phase: I guess they didn't attack. Iga Phase: I didn't defend because I couldn't remember if Mouri was before or after. Also, I don't care. Day 28: Start of Turn. Important, before acting with Rance Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: Action Fan 3: This provides +5 troops to all of your footsoldier units every turn. This is probably actually a waste of an action fan, now that I think of it. Action Fan 4: I don't need you anymore. Shimazu Phase: Well, they're wasting no time. Iga Phase: Ignore Mouri Phase: Apparently didn't act? Day 29: Start of turn event is receiving Good Medicine. Worthless. Action Fan 1: You will have to try this a few times in order to not fail. It depends how many Strong Shuriken Inukai uses, vs normal Shuriken. Continuing to weed down my list and replace with people I can use from my prisons. Action Fan 2: Senkan Nagato Action Fan 3: See my note on the footman training camp. Action Fan 4: Start the path toward Inukai's clear/Gumo Danjo great treasure event. Battle Permits: Blitz into Cairo Shimazu Phase: Kazuhisa hits RIDICULOUSLY HARD. But you can still win. Of course, for other reasons I had to redo the fight. (Don't remember exactly why.) Yoshihisa is much easier. Oh yeah, this was the reason. I don't have the troops for two assaults, I needed them to attack Nagato if they were doing it again. Also, if you're observant, you'll notice in addition to my putting the BP users at the bottom, I organized everybody into "clear and EGP" vs "will release when the time is right". Actually, do, at least a little. That's nearly 50k man, well more than double my entire army. After that is a commander battle vs ogres. No problem. Action Fan 2: x 3 Action Fan 3: Action Fan 4: Required for Kanami. And probably for Maria too. Battle Permits: More Oushuu. I think I failed to defend Saitama, or a previous Izumo Akashi, and will be one territory shy of take-over. That's fine, I have other business that can be attended to. Akashi Phase: I kind of love Yuzumi. It's like Assassinate, but still does damage when it fails. And you can do it three times. Day 39: Start of turn: Action Fan 1: Action Fan 2: Action Fan 3: Action Fan 4: Battle Permits: Still Oushuu Akashi Phase: Sending Rance and Yuzumi into battle together. You need to have Rance/Sill pass until they line up for the one-two. Action Fan 2: This has to happen in Izumo Action Fan 3: Action Fan 4: It was probably a mistake she got so many battle affections up and clears so early. Just FYI. Battle Permits: Invades all of Tenshi Tenshi Phase: Now is a good time to heavily focus on scumming for affection points on needy commanders. Nobody else needs affection, I scoop. Ero Diary: When Rance conquers that last castle we'll be good to go! Action Fan 1: Rance's Love clogged the pipes Action Fan 2: Action Fan 3: Action Fan 4: Always Mustache! Always. The 300 women doesn't update immediately, and because the game ends immediately next turn, I can't get a shot of it when it's complete. The math checks out though. Current Score 231 + 58 (from EGP) = 289. Score next turn (when victory is applied) 288 without the women, 298 with them. I missed out on my nice round number goal, but only just barely, and I did screw up in a number of places where I easily could have shaved wasted fans. It's still a 16 point improvement on my previous best, which is something to be proud of. I may or may not make a few final discussion posts.
