Why do hand axes and javelins reappear in the wielder's hand?

They throw the weapon, it magically comes back in the hand. I know it's just gameplay but I wish there was an explanation for it.

Hand Axes work like boomerangs. Javelins have an almost unoticeable and resillient string tied to the thrower's hand.

Swordfighters should have throwng knives, like Aragorn...

Why do the enemy literally wait their turn and why do weapons break when one swing/poke/cast ago they worked perfectly fine? Fire Emblem is an abstraction, with all of these broadly representing something a real army would/wouldn't have to worry about. In a real battle, a unit would probably carry several javelins/hand axes and would retrieve the ones in dead enemies. Even something like the Wishblade is probably a pair or trio of Wishblades.

It's what we called MAGIC.

Seriously though, this is a limitation/fucklogic that created via the gameplay. Try to come up with something to explain them might create a whole new level of fucklogic/hole or alter the gameplay, like they remove handaxe/javelin and the only 1-2 range lance/axe avaible is Bolt Axe and Shockstick because the developer decided that magically re-appearing thrown weapon is silly.
