I just got back home from preordering the special edition at GameStop. I had to wait in order to get paid, and I had checked last night after getting off at work to see if they had any in-store opportunities available.

I got my special edition preorder in today. There was at least one other person who preordered (and it was an employee). So i may be one of the only ones (so far) to do a preorder of that at my Gamestop. In-store preordering > Online.

Maybe some cities have a smaller gaming community and so things don't sell out as quickly. During the height of the amiibo craze, I do recall that we had a few amiibos that sold out within hours, but I didn't have trouble preordering things like Shulk amiibo or the Fates special edition.

this is true, if you are in places like the Seattle area, NYC or LA area, you'll never find a pre-order if you wait too long. But if you're like in middle america.. well, you only have old people and live stock to compete with.

Woah, I can't believe it sold out so quickly. I'm from Latin America but I'll be travelling to Miami in February (around the 16th). There are no chances that Amazon will restock the Special Edition that close to the release, right...? I really wanted the artbook, what a shame...

There's times I hate living in NYC and trying to pre order stuff is one of them.

Lol, Marth still gets sold out on day 1 around me, despite having livestock to compete with.
