Hero Merit: Have promotions less reliant on the weekly feathers. Inherit Skill: Made new playing styles and experimentation. Nullify banes/flaws with merges: Sort of fixed one of the major problems with summoning. That pesky -atk. Combat manuals: MY barracks are freer with all of those ghb copies and Barsts.
