Technically full blown legit Survivors (who literally have the wincon to be the last one standing aside from all town or all scum remaining) don't have to align with town and/or scum to win; all they have to do is play the game. In fact, more often than not, they'll play just like a townie would, to fly under the radar of everyone else and focus on not sticking out as an ITP. A strict alliance isn't needed, town or Mafia, in order to secure a win. (Yes, 'scum hunting' to blend in with townies can effectively be aligning with town, but it doesn't guarantee that they're rolling with the interests of the townies and/or mafia in mind; they'll do almost anything to survive, whether it means meddling with scum NK's, guiding mislynches amongst the townies, or doing a mix of screwing with both parties.) Assuming that they must bind to either town or scum in every game, I find is inaccurate, as they exist solely for themselves. 2. I'm willing to concede that experience doesn't mean people can't mess up. But the sheer amount of waffling/posting, to me at least, seems pretty hard to believe as just 'flopping around in ED1', and the fact that he doesn't really catch/fix it either, is what's pinging me a bit. So we could let him prove his role/whatever he's claiming N1, so long as whoever's Junpei targets him (Though I don't know if Junpei has to use something specific on him? I'm wondering if it entails a specific item or ability.), and if it flips as Refa either lying to us or being a high detriment to town, then I'd say we nail him for D2 lynch. I don't really like to link aggression to scumminess, especially on D1 where it benefits scum to be more passive than aggressive. I think I've said this before, but actually I find that more often than not points to town. The five votes that were placed upon him by the votal influencer makes me think that he's not someone who's a threat to town. I looked up P3 stuff, and I think it's moderately safe to encourage whoever is Junpei to go ahead and target Refa. Spoilers for P3 follow: Apparently, Junpei is killed by the character that FFM was, but the character who I think Refa is ends up reviving and empowering him. Now that this dynamic has been removed, though (presumably because FFM died)... I really don't know what Refa's alignment could be. I teeeeeeeeechnically have little to no clue about the Persona series, let alone P3, so flavors kinda don't do anything for me. Herpaderp. >_>;; Whatever the case, WRT Refa: Doesn't really change my stance on him much.
