Vicious Sal
So I thought, why not just draft according to numbers? Numbers? Yes, Numbers, best example is POr and RD draft. Normally you say: I want Marcia, Jill, etc. However, IF you say: I want the 20th character, which would be Jill in Por (Ike and Titania are not taken into the calculation ofc), you would end up with Leanne in Radiant dawn. This way you compromise more, and there are probably less broken options. (I haven't checked if there are broken combo's like Reyson in POR = Haar in RD). Ofcourse this gets tricky with things like multiple recruitments from the start (Chapter 1 Por (Boyd and oscar join at the same time)). This could be placed according to the tier list. So oscar would be counted as first recruit, and boyd second. Or something like that. Anyway, I wanted to throw it in here before I start a draft, so, discuss. =D Rules: 1. 7 contenders: The obvious objective is completing Path of Radiance (Fixed Mode & Hard Mode) & Radiant Dawn (Normal Mode) in the lowest turncount you could imagine. 2. Units that are free for all to use are: Ike, Titania(PoR), Micaiah, Sothe(RD). Black Knight may be used freely at the starting pointin 1-E, as soon as he climbs up, he faces a 10 Turn penalty. Free for other chapters Titania(RD) and Sothe(PoR) will be drafted & Black Knight will be drafted for 1-E, so he who drafts him can have him climb stairs. 3. You may transfer data of this draft playthrough from PoR to RD. No other transfers may be used. 4. Undrafted units are not allowed to: enter combat (no meatshielding), shove/smite/rescue drafted units/enemies/NPCs, build supports, use staves, steal, visit villages, open/break chests/doors, find hidden items (this includes PoR Chapter 15 & RD 4-3), sing Galdrar, give Daunt/Pool/Tide bonuses, shift, etc. [unless stated otherwise] 5. Undrafted units may: trade with units and shove/rescue other undrafted units. 6. Other and Partner/Ally units may do as they please without penalty. 7. 4 turn penalty for using an undrafted unit in PoR. 8. Limits placed on PoR BEXP are also listed below (use this topic for reference; here to, changes have been made). POR: - At the beginning of each chapter, you may 'cap off' any character except Titania to their next level if they have more than 50 EXP. If they have less than 50 EXP, you may BEXP them up to 50 EXP. You may NOT however, keep Bexp-ing DRAFTED units without entering them in combat. - Units that you use in RD may be freely* BEXP-ed to get transfers. This however, may only be done in "Endgame, Repatriation". - Don't BEXP abuse for good level ups. RD BEXP is free to use. 9. Exception to rule 4: Reyson and the Hawks may be used to get Naesala to retreat in PoR Chapter 19. Make sure they stay out of combat if you don't draft them. Ulki and Janaff may enter combat if they are untransformed until Neasala retreats. Reyson may always enter combat without penalty. Vicious Sal
I hope it will be. I'm looking for broken options that can be restored. (Edward + Oscar is the first), so the list'll be editted a bit later. And this is also possible for Fe8 x Fe10 drafts of 6 + 9. 8D Edited December 25, 2011 by Vicious Sal
Junkhead
I don't quite understand the "draft list" there. What does it mean? :(
Vicious Sal
OP was editted with an explanation, but here it is, a bit more clear, i hope: Instead of choosing characters, we're drafting units according to time of recruitment. So you don't say: "I draft Marcia" (Normally, you'd get her in both games as a unit). Instead you day: "I pick number 24". When looking up 24, you'll see that the 24th character you recruit in POR is Muarim. So in Por, You'll get Muarim as a draftee. In Radiant Dawn, the 24th character is Brom, so instead of having Muraim twice, You've drafted Muarim for POR & Brom for Radiant Dawn. This enhances versatility. 8D Am I clear enough? ^^" EDIT: What should be done, Random, or fixed mode? SInce you''l end up using other characters in RD, random mode could help transfers. =/ Edited April 5, 2011 by Vicious Sal
Radiant Dragon
Fixed Mode is usually best. Also, I would recommend switching PoR Mist and Rolf.
Junkhead
Yeah. It's also to avoid people from BEXP abusing. Okay, sign me up. I'm interested. 8) By the way, don't forget to list yourself up there as well. :o
Radiant Dragon
I'm not going to be participating, Vicious Sal. I've still got 3 other drafts to finish first.

Junkhead
I'm a little worried about this new drafting system, though... If we draft a character in FE10, but not FE9, how are we supposed to get them to lvl 20/20 with only BEXP? There's not much BEXP in HM for all of our draftees. =/ If the system were the other one at the first Tellius draft, then I see it possible. HongLei
You may want to change numbers 11 and 20 :) I wish I could do this stupid ap tests and track

HongLei
The numbers don't have to be perfect do they :/ I think switching people a chapter off to balance the numbers a little would be okay right
Radiant Dragon
The numbers don't have to be perfect do they :/ I think switching people a chapter off to balance the numbers a little would be okay right I suppose. I just don't see the need for a Numbers Draft of Tellius. For two other games, maybe.
Vicious Sal
@ RD: There isn't anything wrong with it, I mean, otherwise I wouldn't like to participate, I just wanted to do something different. But apparently there isn't enough ammo for it. =/
Junkhead
I wish we had more people join. But it probably has to do with it being "confusing". :(

Lilmik11
Summer is coming soon. I really will have the time do this, if you haven't gived up this project. Can I be in? I swear I'll actually try to finish this one. However, I have a question: Do I need to send you a list of numbers I want to draft or something? How is the picking going to work?
Vicious Sal
Well, it's kinda dead, but I cannot play for three slots, so it's all up to the amount of people interested, I'll sign you in. ;) And you're correct with sending the numbers, Just send in your list of numbers to me, in the order that you want to draft them. After that i'll distribute the characters according to the draft line-up & drafters wishes.
