    Also if you land it in tournament you are immediately a god of smash And yeah I'm pretty pumped for smash 4 for the wii u, although i still need to reserve it. Also im prob going to train dem amiibos lol.

    Yeah this is what got me into the competitive community. Its hard to get into if you want to be the best (since some people have been playing for like 10 years) but its fun to hang out and meet new people while getting slightly better.

    well im back so i can do the draft whenever it begins.

    I meant for the draft, i assume it will fill up this weekend (if not today) but i'll be gone till sunday night. Can I give you a list of preferred choices for it?

    I really want to do the draft tournament but i will be gone this weekend (presumably when the draft will take place). Is it ok if I gave Raven or someone a list of preferred characters in order and base my draft on that? if not i will leave the tourney :(

    IIRC for melee/pm tournaments, games cannot be won in sudden death. If sudden death happens, you do a 1 stock match to settle that game. [spoiler=here is when it first went to SD in a tourney]

    So I'm pretty new to league recently hitting 30 like 2 weeks ago, but I do play ranked for fun but mainly to get better and learn the game since normal games can be wacky sometimes. (Isn't that like the entire game) But yeah its true I play with my friends and it is easy to tell who are the better players by awareness of the map and when to go in and what not and feel the ranking system is pretty good.

    Yeah I got to hang with m2k :), he was here from Friday (in illinois) so its definitely not him. He also said that he only has played smash 4 for like a few hundred matches at most.

    Golden Tate is one of the sole reasons detroit won its last two games because matt stafford has been really below average this season and their defense can't do anything. I would have antonio brown above him though, he is like a tier 2 receiver. He is definitely not better than Calvin, AJ, Julio, Josh Gorden, and Dez Bryant.

    It sucks that he loses health over it. Maybe it would have been better if he didn't make smash 4 if it was that much of a burden. Choosing to share an opinion in SF forums isn't going to affect him at all though. Also, yeah casuals might not like it and wouldn't voice their opinions on the internet or whatever, but the actual hardcore gamers are what helps push games to the popularity that they have.     I understand why some people dislike melee and its fans, but honestly think of how popular it would be if the physics were like melee. There is a reason why the melee scene is still growing after 13 years or whatever and people like melee so much that they modded brawl and that has become big too. Also, how many people who bought smash 4 would not have bought it if the physics were similar to melee? (obviously no one knows) It just seems like a no brainer to me personally because melee is fun at the competitive level and non competitive level. Unfortunately Smash 4 just isn't as fun at the competitive level compared to melee so there is still a divide in the smash community. I appreciate and play Smash 4 and what Sakurai did but it is sad to think of how much better it could have been.

    i will be getting this, it looks like a lot of fun and imo very creative shooter even though it seems kind of simple.

    Unfortunately I feel there are really only 3 tournament stages: Battlefield, FD, and Yoshi's Island. Some others like Prism Tower and Arena Ferox are close but yeah things like gerudo valley should not be in it. However this could be alleviated when the wii u one comes out with the stage builder and hopefully they can be shared (they might have said you could share em but idk)

    Elieson is great! He did a lot of work to organize the SF smash community and his google doc is super appreciated. He also is pretty nice around the forum and seems good to talk to.

    I would like to mention that outside of the draft tournament there really isn't a good reason to allow as many people to the tournament as possible. If there happens to be bye's with an uneven amount, do seeding based on the leaderboard if PKL/Doofina update it. If they don't, just seed it so the top players get byes. I would also like to suggest (maybe when the wii u ssb comes out) of doing like a weekly tournament that just starts on monday and ends on friday and anyone can join but that wouldn't work with Doofina's thread being the only place for tourneys. sorry for cluttering up this thread but i don't know where the best place is to discuss this.

    its weird cause i usually do the opposite, like instead of b forwarding off the stage as marth i will accidently b up way too early and die
