  1. I usually used Rolf as my Archer of choice in Tellius. Either way, the double bow was one of my favorite things in RD. Edit: Though Leonardo is a given, always him, but the second one that gets the double bow is Rolf.
  2. Mega Sceptile, the dragon/grass type. Please let it be a thing. Personally, I hope that the eighth gym becomes the hardest in the new one. I'm sorry, but Tate and Liza were OP. Only gym I ever lost to in Hoenn.
  3. Best: Tellius. PoR Really helped to teach you more about the people and the conflict, and the character development helped cover what RD didn't as it focused more on the story. Though I admit, we learned a lot in not so great a way. Some reveals were better than others. Such as Worst: Awakening and, more specifically, Ylisse. I have no idea why Ylisse is Ylisse. Valencia -> Valm has a better explanation. Who is Grima, when did Grima even appear in comparison to Medeus, who was there before? I don't remember being told; and if it was, it was not memorable. The future wasn't well explained in the regular game, only in the DLC; even so, none of the DLC gives the time period between the birth of the children and the deaths of their parents. I'd like a little more on the struggle of humanity. Also didn't like fighting the risen time after time. Fighting a cult is one thing, but zombies? IS, we're okay with death in your games. Felt like Sacred Stones again, though not as fun the fifth time around.
  4. Integrity showed that we need not fear, but respect mods. As a man, he rivals the great Galahad from Arthurian Mythology. He had story time with us; he cares about the children. He is the only one I've actually communicated with in any form.
  5. Aggron! Mightyena! Yeahhhh! Personally, I thought that, compared to the other generation starters, I didn't like them as much as Gen 4's starters, but I liked them more than Gen 5's. Also, Gen 1, 2, and 6 are above it. I loved Swampert, as a Pokemon, but its design wasn't too cool. Torchic and Blaziken were nice Though Blaziken's Hair and red... plume? feathers? They weren't that great. but I didn't like Combusken. Treecko looked super cool though, my only beef was that it looked better as a grovyle than as a Sceptile, IMO. Water type for surfing? Why not just use a Linoone or something Like I did? It was my HM throwaway 'Mon. I couldn't handle too many of the Pokemon either. In fact, my team mostly consisted of... Aggron, Gardevoir, Sceptile, Flygon (Need a flyer), Mightyena/Absol, Rhydon (For lack of a better Pokemon, plus... Rhydon.), Pikachu Dat 6th Gym. Oh, and 8th I guess. and Zangoose. Literally. Every playthrough. Sometimes Breloom, but I don't like it....
  6. Yeah, at first, I couldn't let go of them because I treated them like stat ups. Then I realized, with strength being the main factor, Con was virtually useless except for shoving and rescuing; and anyone who I want rescuing is already on a horse/pegasus/wyvern
  7. Aaaaaand Following. The Glory of Sain must be known. Lowen's pretty cool too.
  8. When I was done with my first playthrough, I often gave things to Nephenee, Brom, or Ilyana solely to sell for the GMs to not be so broke towards the beginning. Then the statue frag and white gem came in. Sold those instantly. ... I love how Statue frags are so useless here, when Body Rings used to be like... the best stat booster ever. That weight from strength thing really made Con almost useless.
  9. It's incredibly hard to train either of them. Even on Easy. I cannot tell you how many turns it took, and how much effort. Even then, their growths never came out for me. I ended up turning a priest to stone on Part 1 endgame and having them prod at it with iron/bronze weapons for 200 turns until they promoted, just so I could keep them viable. It was just easier to toss them aside and bring in Leonardo and Edward.
  10. Always carry as much as you can in terms of healing items. Never forget to save!f you see a new door, or a clearing, or any sort of change in scenery, save. Know what? Not even then. Save always. Unless there are save points, then visit those frequently. Never skip things. Mashed A Button, missed out on where to go, wandered around forever. Always remember sidequests. ANNA.
  11. Well had I been trying to pay attention to anything non-Pokemon related, I could've enjoyed a bit more. Anyway, that's exactly what I was saying. I'm not falling into that trap. I'll just... wait an indeterminate amount of time until I can find one online to buy at a reasonable price. I do want to visit Japan, but mostly for the food and to experience a different culture. I like visiting new places. And I dragged convinced my cousin to come be my translator. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Nintendo is really sneaky, but whatever keeps them in business. Also, I can't wait to get these games, regardless of whether or not I get all the events... If I can just have my mega swampert. Oh, and my Battle Pyramid and Pokeblock making.... That stuff was addicting.
  12. I really want that Nendoroid, but I'm not falling into their trap. To stay in Japan for a week-2 just to get that one thing.... Madness, I'll end up going on a shopping spree.
  13. This right here. I look on Bulbapedia/Serebii and see all the events they got in comparison to us. Still, at least the games themselves are international, and the fact that wi-fi trading exists And we don't need to see a Pokemon to look for it in the GTS thank god finally Kind of makes up for it? Not really. However, I really wish we'd get more events in other countries too, to increase the demand for trades. Also, I can't believe I sat through the last half hour of that live stream for what little information we got. I feel bad for anyone who sat through the whole thing.
  14. I never really paid attention to tiers or anything... I mean look what's above my avi. I also used Tormod on occasion, as hard as it is. I love that sage.. Ilyana was still trash though, I didn't like her design, her personality, or her stats. Still, RD was quite literally the game I played the most. I have 6 different files and each have been beaten at least twice, some three times. One easy (two), one hard (two), 3 normal (three, two, three). I loved how many characters there were, and although it didn't matter, I'd ship people that I supported. IT MATTERED TO ME! It mattered...
  15. I am inspired by this story. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us. Your dedication and determination shall be remembered for generations to come. And above all. Welcome. To The HALL OF FAME
  16. Nooo I'm not saying Orre will be IN the remake; I'm saying that with the reappearance of Hoenn, this would be a great time to make an Orre Pokemon game for the Wii U.
  17. I knew this would happen! I hope Secret bases get more customization, and your Wi-fi friends' secret bases appear in your game. I hope we get the emerald battle frontier back. In particular, I miss the Battle Pyramid. Think we'll get to visit Orre again?
  18. I think it's a little bit of both. While your background is inherently a piece of who you are, your own personal reactions and thoughts also help. Two men raised the same way are faced with the opportunity to punish a criminal. Just because their lifestyles are identical, it doesn't necessarily mean that they'll make the same decision. One person may take their background, and make a choice in spite of it; one person may take their past and make their choice because of it. Like the people who say "I was tough on you because it made you strong." or the ones that say "I was tough on you because my father was tough on me." in comparison to the ones who say "I'm going to be a kinder parent because my parent was too tough on me." Everyone has different thresholds, and I guess that it's a really hard line to define; I could go on and on but there's not much else to say. I think the majority of people agree that morality is just what the majority seems is right or wrong. I personally can't tell you what Morality is. I think that as long as people are different, Morality will just be a concept that can be defined with as much accuracy as the connotation of certain words or phrases in different languages. Honestly, when I go to other countries, I avoid all gestures, and I LOVE speaking with my hands; simply because some hand gestures are more acceptable than others in certain places, and I rather not use the wrong one. In the same way, I don't want to do anything Immoral. It's just not concrete.
  19. I define Morality as a set of criteria upon which a human being in a working society must base all their choices on as they work towards a better society. If it detriments society or leads to the destruction of it, it doesn't seem to be moral. "Working for the common good" Can be a synonym, but it isn't necessarily always good for the whole world. In some cases, such as theft and murder; these things can lead to the downfall of a civilization, and as such, are deemed as wrong. Of course, then there are sub-divisions, such as killing someone to prevent being killed or to prevent another murder. I guess it gets further blurred in some cases, but there are reasons why some things are "Moral" and some "Immoral"
  20. Let's see... FE 6/7: Wolt. I dunno, the hair, the bow, I was determined to use him. I did so. I'm gonna do it again and show his stats in an update. Guy. I don't know, I always hear about how Guy isn't that great. Once again, I love this guy. Loved his recruitment conversation too. Sacred Stones: The trainees always ended up well for me. Ross especially, who was also easy to train. Amelia was the toughest IMO, but all my trainees were BFFs and I could literally send in all three in the end to wreck. They made me proud. Radiant Dawn: Tormod. Pelleas. I had a thing for mages, and these two were my absolute favorite in Radiant Dawn. Tormod was funny, and I preferred him as a Fire Mage. Pelleas is my favorite Dark Magic User in the entire series. I always bring them to my end game, where they do more work than any other magic user in any other playthrough. (Except maybe Soren)
  21. My current avatar is a Paladin right now, but afterwards I'm gonna go Dread Fighter.
  22. But the whole point of not having any meaning in the choices was to show the futile struggle against Fate, right? I personally think any choices should be more of a "Well here's my opinion but you have the final choice, my lord"; depending on either your tactician ranking or your relationship with the person making the choice, they'll either listen to you or decide against it.
  23. This right here. Let the unit be there like in Heroes or Awakening. Personally, I felt that the level of involvement you had in FE7 was perfect. They were mentioned, present, and they helped out More or less depending on if you yourself were terrible or not. Of course, there was a lack of choices back in FE7 Do you want to do Gaiden Chapter or no?, but at the same time, I felt more compelled to be a part of their group. Edit: Hah. Everyone agreed with this quote. I always thought the tactician would be a mage. Not some swords and sorcery OP person "I can do everything!" Or... Maybe like some certain knife wielding sages, as brilliant as putting knives on a mage is.
  24. True, true. I wouldn't mind Dual Audio, but I don't know if I want ALL Japanese or ALL English in that case. Chaos has a point though, so I'll wait.
