  1. In Awakening, Inigo bears the distinction of being one of the best units in the game by being one of the only 4 characters with access to the skill trifecta of Limit Break, Galeforce, and Aggressor. In Fates, this is no longer the case. With everyone having access to a nerfed Galeforce and Aggressor, the disguised Inigo (now Laslow) takes on a totally different role. Laslow's skill, Fancy Footwork gives him permanent access to the Rally command, giving any allies within 2 spaces +1 STR, +1 SKL until the start of your next turn. This means that Laslow is now a solid battle-support unit, much like Olivia was in Awakening. There are two ways to get the most out of Laslow's dancing: Pure Rally Replicate The difference between these two is simple: one of them focuses on getting a Rally Skill of your choice into as many slots as you can; the other one drops one of them in exchange for the use of Replicate allowing you to buff twice as many people or to double the selection of buffs you already have. As a reference, Laslow can technically acquire ALL of the rally skills through determined use of Marriage Seals, StreetPass/SpotPass, and the logbook. Note that F!Corrin can be used for skill w/ a Marriage Seal if you pick the right subclass. Note that Laslow can only get access to Rally Luck by marrying a F!Corrin with Shrine Maiden as their talent, using a Marriage Seal, and then Rally Strength: Berserker Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with Charlotte, Friendship Seal with Keaton Rally Magic: Onmyoji Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with Orochi Rally Skill: Bow Knight Lvl 5; Permanent Access Rally Speed: Falcon Knight Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with Azura, Selena Rally Luck: Priest/Priestess Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with F!Corrin only Rally Defense: Wyvern Lord Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with Camilla, Beruka Rally Resistance: Strategist Lvl 5; Marriage Seal with Felicia, Elize Rally Movement: Dark Flier Lvl 25; Use Ebon Wing My personal recommendation for a post-game Rallybot Laslow is the following: Rally Strength, Rally Skill, Rally Movement, Rally Luck, Replicate for an offensive supporting Laslow. First use Replicate to double your rallies, then the pair can each rally in a group of your soldiers for +5 STR, +5 SKL, +8 LCK, +1 MOV each. Anyone who gets buffed twice is now running around with +2 MOV and a +36 sum of offensive power for physical damage. It also bears the distinction of being acquirable in a single run. Promote Laslow to a Bow Knight, marry him to F!Corrin w/ the Shrine Maiden talent, get him to A Rank with Keaton and then slap on one of every seal. I do NOT recommend trying this in a Conquest route simply because of how draining this can be on your resources. Try it in Revelation instead and just use the Logbook when you're done. Edit: There are obviously OTHER ways you can use Laslow, but Laslow is the best rallybot in Fates.
  2. How do Statues impact the Stat Mods of children characters? Does the bonus the parent receives stack with the children or do all characters receive a flat bonus?
  3. Sakura and Elise I promoted ASAP, but I'll delay it if they're close to another level-up by the time I have an Eternal Seal. Every once else I get to 20...except for Corrin because they're gonna be getting a lot of levels anyway.
  4. They could have always received special weapons later on in the campaign. How many characters receive special unique weapons or improved unique weapons mid-game? Roy, Lyn, Eliwood, Hector, Eirika, Ephraim, Ike, Michiah, Nolan, Leonardo, Edward, Marth, Chrom, Corrin...maybe Caeda? There's no way that's all of them and that includes EVERY Lord unit since FE6. I suppose there's always DLC?
  5. I agree. It should also be noted that Marth's personality and demeanor - while significantly different in this localization - are also rather different in the Shadow Dragon localization. If you compare the FE12 Fan Translation with the FE 11 Localization, you notice a very different personality. Why? Because the Localization has to both 1) Give the player important information and 2) Portray the character as a hero. The Translation is only going to seek to do the former and so you have weird values dissonances occasionally and other interesting bits like difference in focus (the individual Vs. the group you mention in your analyses). This could also be why Lucina is different. Remember Metroid: Other M? One of the reasons Samus was written the way she was in that game was because she was intended to be portrayed as a badass to a Japanese audience, but when they went to localize it, the man responsible for Metroid refused to listen to the changes and M:OM went to be a reviled game because Western audiences didn't understand or appreciate what was going into the "This is what makes Samus a badass" train of thought. It's possible that changes made to Lucina are intended to better emphasize her as a heroine...or that it's not the same Lucina (like Severa, Owain, and Inigo tell us when they interact with her). If anything, I don't think this is the Alt!Lucina that you recruit and control in Fire Emblem: Awakening. I think this is a grown-up Baby Lucina who lived in a post-Grima defeat world and wound up here because a wizard did it.
  6. Corrin was just announced for Super Smash Bros. and they mentioned that it would get an amiibo. The other FE amiibo characters in Smash are recruitable by special amiibo missions. Marth, Ike, Robin, Lucina, Roy. ...So what is the Corrin amiibo going to do? You can already recruit other Corrins.
  7. So Fates has amiibo functionality. You take Marth, Ike, Robin, or Lucina. Or Roy. And you can fight and recruit them into your army in Fates. But Corrin was just announced for Smash with an amiibo. You can already recruit and train other Corrins. So what does the Corrin amiibo do in Fates?
  8. Completed Lunatic mode on Classic with a +Mag, -Def Robin (F) marrying Ricken!Laurent. I did a LOT of grinding and it nearly killed the fun of the game, but I still vanquished Grima. I don't believe I got all the children though.
  9. The Exalted Falchion is one of Chrom's best weapons bar none. Double damage vs. Wyverns, good power and accuracy, and the ability to heal 20 HP are all really good features. You can make him a Paladin, but his default Great Lord is generally his best outside of Apotheosis (where you want him as a Double Bow Sniper). Chrom's best skills are Rightful King, Aether, Luna, Aggressor, Limit Break, Dual Strike+, Aegis, and Rally Skill (his only Rally command). Sumia's best skills are Lancefaire, Renewal, Pavise, Luna, Galeforce, Dual Guard+, Rally Speed, and Rally Heart. She's a good support character as a Falcon Knight but you can make her a Dark Flier if and when you eventually get her Magic up. If you're using them together all of the time, I recommend the following: (Lead) Chrom (Paladin): Limit Break, Dual Strike+, Rightful King, Aether, Luna (Support) Sumia (Falcon Knight): Limit Break, Dual Guard+, Galeforce, Luna, Lancefaire At their best, The two of them become incredibly reliable when maxed out and can achieve a 100% Dual Strike rating and both of them can activate Luna around 3/4 of the time, with Chrom's Aether acting as a less reliable but more powerful proc strike activating roughly 1/8 of the time (Luna will activate 3/4 of the time, 1/4 of the time it will not. In that 1/4, Aether will proc roughly half the time, with nothing activating 1/8th of the time).
  10. So in Awakening, when you married a second gen character there was an issue with part of the spouse's interface. Namely it was trying to have the Father, Mother, Spouse, AND child on a section made to show three character's names at most. Does this issue still exist in Fates or has it been fixed?
  11. Jokes on you: You didn't mention anything from Sacred Stones! I actually did know all of those except Eliwood's and Inigo's.
