Lance? Don't you mean the Fisher?
Anyway, I am not sure if letting Wrap run out of PP is a viable option. I mean, they only needs to deal enough damage to finish the job with Dragon Rage. Or Surf, in the case of that Tentacruel.
I was thinking of Lance in Gym Leader Castle, I forgot how effective Dragon Rage was in PIka, most I've done is to the final with rentals then the 20 alakazam/dragonair before they destroy my team

The Lass in the Pika Cup of Pokemon Stadium. The Pika Cup features Pokemon between the levels 15-20 and the Lass packs a lv20 Tentacruel. It will slowly and agonizingly wittle your Pokemon's HP down with Wrap (which in the first generation prevented Pokemon from moving altogether, so if a faster Pokemon used it, you could only pray that it would eventually miss) until your Pokemon is weakened enough to be finished off with Surf. It's telling that her lv20 Gyrados with Dragon Rage is the lesser evil.
The Fisher from the same cup is not too hard as long as you can deal with his lv. 18 Dragonir with Wrap and Dragon Rage. But on Round 2, when he brings an lv. 20 Alakazam, shit gets real.
What makes these two so infuriating compared to other hard trainers in the game, is that the Pika Cup is supposedly meant to be for beginners. And a lot of the early trainers are embarrassingly weak, allowing you to get a lot of Continues with barely any effort. But at the end, the whole thing just turns into Munchkin Cup, as you face tons of barely legal or downright illegal Pokemon using utterly brutal tactics.
With gen 1 wrap you can ware down their pp by switching out so you only have to eat 20 individual wrap attacks, You can also use it for Lance's thunderwave as he tries starting with that whilst he still has wrap PP left, but I forget how much PP TW has, or if ithat's viable

Use Aeris, she's one of the best characters for late game

Are you talking about Class EXP or Battle Points? For Battle Points, I usually do the Noctilum Nights Support Mission. It gives 48 pts a quest and can be done pretty quickly compared to the one that gives 60 points. And it's also more fuel efficient since I usually need 2 uses of the Gatling (400 points with this method vs 9000 for the same amounts with the Carrids.)
As for Class EXP, the fastest way I found was to repeatedly kill Joker, the lvl 90 Blatta.
Class exp, although I always assumed that was duplicated, so you'd see the purple number on screen, and that would give you that number of class points, and that number of battle points
-
I was still hoping for an Eevee-esque character with different evolutions as different skins, with moves altered to match their type. Of course that was never going to happen as it's far too much work to do, but at least I could dream
-
Regarding Battle Points, they are infinite, but once you reach a certain level, you stop getting them from most enemy encounters and the only way to get a good quantity of them is by repeatedly doing Support Missions that are available after you beat the story at the Squad terminal in the Barracks, and even with that, it takes quite a lot of time to max out all the Arts and Skills of a certain class.
Still, leveling them to level 3 should be ok, since like Nobody said, the amount required isn't too high. Just make sure you like a class enough to stick to it before maxing the arts.
I find it quicker if you go to the middle of the frozen lake in Sylvalum and destroy the lvl 60 carrids. The Ares 90 can oneshot them with the beam, and you get 10 points a pop until you max out all 6 end classes. Of course that's costly for fuel, and you need to get the Ares 90 first but it works
Also I saw a pretty good looking create a character of Mia online the other day, was that somebody from here?

My main gripes so far, is that fetch quests are even more of a pain now, even with this http://imgur.com/a/YGvlR
Grexes, Icus, and just about anything else 10-20 levels above you seems to be annoyingly aggressive, and that I normally leave running back to the skell too late in boss battles and die before I can make it there, luckily in the last boss Lin took it out just as the 30 seconds were finishing

Superior eeveelution is glaceon guys.
It'd rather go for Jolteon
-
Are you joking
I saw something in there
Yeah, that was a joke, Dickson isn't really Reyn, just
his estranged aunt
-
Do you mind
I've only just reached Gaur Plains, I don't need Xenoblade references! What if I'm spoiled to the plot?
[spoiler=I know you'll click this]Reyn and Dickson are the same person, it's why you haven't seen them at the same place at the same time

I hope they add at least a pokemon from each type,
we already have:
2 electric
1 water
1 ice
1 dark
1 psychic
1 fairy
2 fire
1 flying
3 fighting
1 ghost
1 poison
1 steel
We're missing Grass, Dragon, Bug, Rock, Ground and Normal.
I'd imagine the bug would be Heracross, and dragon would be Garchomp, I'm just holding out for more water and ice types.
Also Jiggly is coming, since it already has the amiibo (hopefully)

She's one of those broken characters.
I don't know, I will never touch Kasumi with a 20 foot pole.
Who Kasumi or Sophitia? Because if it's Kasumi then I'm obviously playing her wrong despite using her enough to get a +99 5* weapon, if it's Sophitia then I wholeheartedly agree if only due to her musou re-filling itself when you use it.
-
I barely used her in RE, and haven't used her in Ultimate since getting RE, so I can't say for sure.
I think she has a couple of moves carried over, but there are quite a few that aren't, like flying swallows, izuna drops, and he S S T move that makes her leap away
-
Effing Himoko... She has ended quite a few runs of mine single handed.
It's worse playing it on co-op, where you're just playing it not realising your friend has ran up to her. Thank god you never have to fight Ayane in the main story as far as I can remember because her musou destroys entire teams of otherworld invaders in gauntlet mode, so you wouldn't stand a chance, the only better one I've found is Sophitia because with a decent osmosis stat it will completely restore her musou

Thanks for the responses; I did some research, and I'm currently leaning towards Orochi 3U. I know it's a mash-up between Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors with some extra stuff (Ryu Hayabusa, frickin' Joan of Arc), and actually has done fairly well critically. This may not be the best way of thinking about things, but personally, why not start out with one of the best? If I really like it, I'll branch out some more.
I'm okay with being overwhelmed at first and having to get a hang on things (Monster Hunter isn't something you can just pick up and play, and it was a pleasant challenge "gittin' good" at it); if nothing else, it'll provide something to hold me over until FE14 comes out.
WO3U is my favourite, although I've only played SW4 round a friend's house, the problem you'll have with it is a lot of characters will be introduced in a very short amount of time, so you won't really know who they are or anything about them,
Just like Tashi Ci in DW8[.spoiler]
but it gives you lots of bonus exp, so you can make new characters useble straight away, unlike the first WO which I found I had to rely on Zhang Liao/Ginchiyo/Guan Ping for most of the campaign, so you do have a lot more freedom to use the characters here than in any of the other games, but they have far less to help them stand out, and it may be worth interim saving from time to time, as certain musous can wipe you out completely (Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, and Himoko are all awful for this)
I started with WO3 fine, but after playing other games. Also Lu Bu, Tadakatsu Honda, and Nezha are all underwhelming compared to other installments, and as much as I like WO3U you may find yourself gravitating towards the other games just so you actually know diddly about the actual characters in the game.

That is still a really tiny roster for a Pokemon fighting game. There are over 700 Pokemon, yet this game will only allow FIFTEEN of them? Ridiculous. Not to mention that other fighting games have larger rosters, including Smash Bros.
Fighting games always start with small rosters, smash only had 12, first Tekken only had 8, DOA2 had 12 even Soul Blade was only 20. And DW started as a fighting game with roughly 15, now it has spin-offs with over 100
-
I was basing it off one of those roster-space pictures, even with Pika Libre and Shadow Mewtwo there's still space for two more.
-
Apparently the roster still has a few empty tiles, if the gameply were more similar to Tekken's (apart from Gardevoir borrowing some of Asuka's moves) then I would have said Breloom as a Roger/Roger Jr./Alex character and Ditto as a Mokujin and Farfetch'd, because there has to be one game where it can be used for anything besides learning Cut and Fly
-
I could see them spinning Karel into a Honda, considering his character arc reflects Kenshins and he is known for being a deadly warrior.
Julius could be our Nezah, Sigurd for Keji, Black Knight for the Lu Bu.
The B.K. one makes a lot of sense, especially given what he does in chapter 11
-
Who would they make the Lu Bu/Honda/Keji/Nezha equivalent?
And Warriors or a Soul Cal spin-off would be an instant buy for me
-
Going by Fate lores where beliefs and location play a big role in boosting their power, i wonder which would be more powerful
Lu Bu in the place where "Hu Lao Gate" was or Zhang Liao on He Fei
Lu Bu is more godlike and finctional. Zhang Liao scenario actually happened, but is less godlike in beliefs
They surprisingly fit well for a Warriors games lol
Wasn't Lu Bu beaten by Sun Jian twice at the Battle of Hu Lao Pass? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Hulao_Pass#Historicity
Question mark because lolwikipedia

the movesets in 8XL and Warriors Orochi are different, see
so it's gonna be a hell of a time trying to replicate their movesets
I meant what are good builds/set-ups for them, even with high velocity they still feel far too slow
-
How is Shamoke for a potential officer, since DW8 attributes Gan Ning's death to him.
Also how do I make Guan Ping and Xu Huang good in 8xl like they were in WO3?

Your neighbour's pet dog is more likely to kill you than a bear encounter
Is that along the lines of "you're more likely to get killed by a vending machine than a shark" because very few people go close to sharks at all, especially not whilst in water, or is saying the encounter with the bear has already happened and your chances of then surviving it is more likely than the neighbour's dog?

Let Gus live
Let Fortun live
Turn the woman who kidnapped the zaboggan in
Let the Orphe eat the tree, (don't talk to the second Orphe watching after the first one eats it)
Why would you let her shower in a place full of monsters?
Beat the game, and grind the support missions. lvl 50 heavy skells have a weapon that can one-shot the prones on the final affinity-grinding mission
Also can somebody explain Murderess's second affinity
So Irina says that the Murderess would never kill, despite having been shot in the back by her, and towards the end she says she isn't an actual Murderess, despite shooting Irina in the back and setting a team of BLADEs on you in her recruitment quest
