  1. If we're going game-specific, then... Smash 64: Kirby (secondaries: none) I've only played 64 once. Melee: Roy, Marth, Captain Falcon (secondaries: Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, Link) Brawl: Kirby, Ganondorf (secondaries: Captain Falcon, Marth) Smash 4: Roy, Kirby, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon (secondaries: Little Mac, Jigglypuff, Shulk, Mewtwo)
  2. Don't you mean Monado Smash? It makes Shulk lighter and easier to KO, so Kirby should become lighter as well. Bowser Bomb breaks shields almost as instantly as Ganon's U-Tilt. You could instantly follow up with a fully charged F-Smash to end stocks quickly. Jigglypuff's Pound also does huge shield damage, so breaking a shield with it is pretty much a guaranteed Rest in most situations.
  3. I'd say I'm the kind of gamer that falls right in the middle between "casual" and "competitive". I usually want to enjoy something just for the sake of enjoying it.
  4. I'm guessing the only reason Diddy appeared in Top 8 was because of ZeRo.Same goes for Dark Pit with Nairo.
  5. http://www.ssbwiki.com/Peach_(SSB4) Sadly, no more Beam Swords for Peach. Peace in RIP Beam Sword 2k14. But at least the other stuff has a higher pull chance as compensation.
  6. Eh, I'm not so sure about that. This definitely looks like something a "Salty Ass Melee Fan who praises Melee like their God and doesn't know sh*t about Game Design" would say. My apologies if I have mistook you for one, but that's what it felt like. And sure, go on ahead and talk about Sakurai's logic all you want. No one's stopping you. Sadly enough, the "many people" who would be turned off are a rather small majority of the massive number of other people who are turned on.
  7. Okay, seriously dude. Please. Just. Shut. Up. First off, have you ever made a game? How would you even know what it's like to implement features, mechanics, etc.? And how would you even know a thing about Wavedashing and stuff if you say you don't play Melee competitively? Melee is an old game, having been released way back in 2001. That's all in the past, and any regular person would've learned a thing or two from then till now. Sakurai is no different. He and the dev team made the mistake of having kept Wavedashing in, which was originally just an exploit in the physic engine, believing it wouldn't impact the game. Obviously it did, and the dev team opted to use the Air Dodge mechanic used in Brawl and Smash 4 since then. If anything, I'd ask that you please shut up about Sakurai's logic and how you feel he's incompetent as a game designer, because the more I read your long posts that I don't want to bother finishing, the more of a "Salty Ass Melee Fan who praises Melee like their God and doesn't know sh*t about Game Design" vibe I get from you.
  8. I honestly have no clue of what's going on in this thread anymore. This could really go for just about anything. Say you're playing a trading card game with a friend and you don't like one of the mechanics in said game or maybe you don't like one of the cards' effects. Others will still use it, but that doesn't mean you should too. Say you're in a Pokemon battle and you don't like the moves your opponent gave to their Pokemon (ex. Offensive moves on a Defensive Pokemon). They'll still use it because it's an option and you may not like it, but they do and will still use it. Say you don't like a mechanic/feature put into the latest Smash Bros installment, yet there are others out there who will enjoy said mechanic/feature and will continue to do so. Let's say that so many people are getting psyched about the "next big thing" and you absolutely hate it. Same thing, just don't mind them. Say that you don't like a feature in the new Fire Emblem game. Same. Freaking. Deal. If you don't like it, then let others who do like it enjoy it. Don't try to ruin a game for everyone just because of your bias towards stuff is so limited. @ Smash Clones Characters are often included in crossover games like Smash to appease to the people who like said character. I know two people in my area who were disappointed that Dr. Mario didn't make it into Brawl but were loudly ecstatic when he showed up in Smash 4. And let's not forget about the larger majority of FE13 fans who don't ever come here who are glad that Lucina is playable. Because we people at Serenes are a really small majority of FE's large community. And let's face it: Who here has even heard of Shulk before he was revealed? Same goes for Dark Pit for those who have never played (or even heard about) Kid Icarus Uprising. Characters can also be included so that they are more known to the public and others will like it. Well, it's the first time Sakurai's doing something like this, right? It won't necessarily go as planned on the first try, you know. If there's anything Super Training does, it's that it auto-caps EVs at 252 rather than go over through traditional means. And there's also the possibility of getting Evolutionary items that you would normally have very few or none of. After I got my Pokemon to have Pokerus (legitimately and before beating the E4, btw), I only used Super Training to get Evolutionary items and cap EVs from 250 to 252. Before then, I was using it only if I found a stat to be low and needing improvement.
  9. Well of course the first two are obviously not reliable. I'm just saying if you got lucky then that was an option. And yes, Peach still has a problem with KO'ing early, but at least it's not as bad as before.
  10. Well, if people don't like the Rage mechanic so much that they want it rebalanced, then I'd say... A) Either tone down the knockback multiplier so that reversals don't become BS. or B) Give certain attacks different multipliers so that moves that are already powerful aren't boosted as much as others. I'm sure someone who is actually knowledged on the competitive scene could think of something more workable other than "just remove it". Whoa there, I never said anything about Brawl being a slow game, nor was I trying to imply it. All I'm saying was that it was generally harder to get a quick K.O. because of the game's physics and that matches naturally took longer because of it. How is KO'ing with Peach a problem when there's Stitch-Face and Bob-ombs? Her F-Air and Back Throw are more reliable finishers now, so there's that too.
  11. Well, it makes the game more intense and down to the wire faster. And when a game isn't fast, it isn't interesting (see: Brawl), so why remove something that makes the game more interesting and suffer the complaints the last installment dealt with as a result?Besides, I actually like the Rage mechanic. And I personally think it's one-sided to nobody, being equal to both winning and losing players. The winning player knows it's easier to finish off the opponent while the losing player knows they have a chance to make a comeback. I think it's pretty balanced and I can't think of a scenario where it isn't.
  12. As a Kirby main, this guy is a disappointment (much like other FG Kirbys). First off, you don't ever abuse Stone, even after a throw (bc it doesn't ever combo). I only use the Stone if my opponent is trying to carry me to the upper blastline and they expect me to fall into their moves. Also, you can't just hide inside the Stone thinking you're invincible, because really strong moves will snap that defense clean in half. And secondly, many of Kirby's moves are surprisingly not safe on shield, so if he mindlessly throws out moves, there's a good chance you can retaliate no problem.
  13. Comes to think of it, there were times in Kid Icarus Uprising's online where the opposing team was literally floating on nothing. They try to dodge, but I see them fly way off the arena, out of attacking range. And then they warp back and forth all over the place. No wonder Kid Icarus doesn't lag online. The game doesn't worry about keeping stuff in sync. So... Just like Marvel, right? Or every other traditional fighting games that has a "Super Meter" mechanic, right?
  14. Holy crap the online lag is ridiculous. I was in a 1v1 FG match with a Villager and the match almost went to time. Guy had all the time in the world spamming Loid Rocket and running away when my own reactions get delayed for 2 whole seconds. I managed to end the match by Up Smash punishing his roll with 20 seconds left on the clock. And then the next match I had was against a different person and after 20 seconds everyone started to SD because the lag was so horrendous. Nintendo, get more better servers plz.
  15. >Poll Question: Which are sexier? Why is that even a question? We all know Oliver's the sexiest being in existence.
  16. Dammit, my sister wanted Mr. Game & Watch by itself. Mind as well try to get the 3-pack, keep G&W and give the other two to my friends. Or if I'm lucky enough, find the lone G&W on eBay and get it from there. Just curious, is the 3-pack also for Japan as well or are all three available separately?
  17. Cleaned up a few details here and there. Because why not. How very fitting.
  18. Man, I should've had this thread up a long while ago, but I got lazy. I'll post some of my drawings here every now and then. Some of the stuff I'll post here is old from who knows how long ago. [spoiler='Major Xenoblade spoilers] [spoiler=The reason we don't have a Pantless Marth alt.] [spoiler=This was done right after Ganon was revealed for Hyrule Warriors.] "The only one who messes with the Triforce is me! No one else!" I really shouldn't use Google Translate for this sort of thing. [spoiler=Long before our boy's return as DLC]
  19. Egyptians have fallen into obscurity and no one knows of their existance. Speaking of which... Yugioh Season 0: Card games? What card games? Penalty Game! And violence.
  20. Yugioh GX: Card games at school. Yugioh 5Ds: Card games on motorcycles. Yugioh ZeXal: Card g- What the hell's going on anymore. Yugioh Arc-V: Card games as entertainment. Also interdimensional BS.
  21. Let's see, off the top of my head... Bakugan (Season 1): Strange cards fall from the sky and sh*t goes down. Every season after: "Screw the rules, Ability Activate!" I'll probably think of more later.
  22. I think implementation was what went wrong. I remember back when she was revealed and I was begging for some difference other than her no-tipper sword. How about in the next game, declone her and replace Dancing Blade with Astra?
