Doesn't help when this is the answer I'm getting: So, the fact that you realize that the averages do not add up 100% in-game and that my method, though different has worked and defies the tier list mean that you ignore me? Really? Wow, real mature there. *Let's pick on this kid because he's different* Wow, are you still in grade 8 or something? Grow the fuck up and be open for once. I'm telling you that Palla is useful and yet she's significantly low. Considering the EXP she'll get with a Ridersbane and the damage she'll do (thanks to the next chapter having lots of horsies) I fail to seee whyt she's low. The only logica explination is if you're planning on usig Catria without Palla, in which case, fine. But on her own, despite her speed-flaws, at 20/20 Falcoknight or Swordsmaster if you PegKn->SwdMstr, it'll stillb e damn close to max, if not maxed. I mean she has to be higher. But really, what are the odds of anyone actually not ignoring me? As for Arran, Samson is better but only slightly. Never really go for Arran. At least Est has a chance to grow to be abit better but not that much.
  2. You guys keep ignoring me, which is fine, because no matter what you say, it works for me. You guys are following your tier lists whereas in real fucking life, that shit isn't exactly correct, in which case, if you'd actually listen to what I'd say, you might get somewhere. Why is Catra higher than Palla if their growths (save for SPD and LUK) are virtually the same? Really, considering the list is based on Averages, which aren't totally fucking accurate to begin with, I'd say some of you are full of it. - Athena - Marth - Wendell - Daros - Horace - Draug - Roger - Castor - Dolph - Navarre - Ceaser - Catria - Minerva - Jeigan - Rena - Beck - Jake Anyone in this color is complete bullshit. Considering what lvl Dolph is, and the chatper you get him on, the fact that you can even try to argue that his stats are projected to being better than Ogma's is bogus because of how you'd have to coddle him. You people make no sense because by the chapter you et Dolhp (12) Ogma should be strong enough to hold his own, to the point that replacing him by Dolph is a fucking waste of EXP. Now, I'm not saying that if you're gonna use Ogma you HAVE to use Dolph, but you get the point. You place Radd low because of his level and how much of a pain it is, but by the same token, you have Dolph higher and completely disregard that. i mean, if Radd is such a pain the the ass to level and needs to be coddleed, then why is Dolph any different? Really? Consider the Wooden Cavalry in the next Cahpter of H5; he ain't surviving shit-all. Ch13 is is gonna be a pain for him again unless you make him a Hunter for easy damage to the Peg Knights. I mean, you're getting Palla and Catria two Chs after you get Dolph, and even if you try and stay true to the 1-Lv up per Ch (which you won't) Dolph isn't even the same Lv as Palla. And, like I said, if you don't like her, reclass her as anything, except a healer. Sirius was right on a few things as well. Barst is Barst. 'Nuff said. Castor is useless. No matter his class. Marth should be fairly high, true. Card is amazing if you have the patience to lv up his Axe. Like honestly, I'd love to see how many of your games actually follow this list. Mine don't and it works great no matter how much you can make fun of me. I don't even use Navarre or Cain (whichever Cavalier has the lower Spd and/or Def by Ch5, in this case, Able was higher). I don't use Castor because Gordin has good defence and I'm not dumb enough to let him get directly hit anyway. I'm also using Bord because like I said, get him a killer axe right away and he's ownage. He's stronger than my Barst (whom I'm not even using) in ever way except for Speed. I can't believe I'm actually using Wolf but he's a decent meatshield. Really.
  3. Palla is a amzing if you give her the chance. you really wanna mke her good then give her Silvers, Riders Banes and the like. Failing that, she makes an Amazing Mage and if you wanna use up your levin, make her a do a Mage-->Swordmaster route. She can train her magic on the armored units, failing that, the Ridersbane ise useful in the next chapter, what with al the fucking horses. There's no way Jorge is above her.
  4. Ever notice that without Braves, most people would suck? Like, really? My Cavalcade has Palla with maxed everything, except MAG at 1 and RES at 18. All my units are naturally stronger but I didn't have access to WiFi when I made the team. Sometimes I think braves are cheap because it's a no-brainer that if you can hit me twice or 4 times when I can only hit you once, that you'll win. I think that's a slightly unfair advantage.
  5. Yeah. His defence is pretty damn good. Donno why Colonel said it was tossed aside. Donno why anyone would amke Gordin a healer when Matthis is just fine doing that. I mean, Roshea and Vyland can be healers if you realy wanted to sue them, so why make Gordon one?

The Answer: In one instance, Ymir is better than Radd because let's face it, if you're gonna keep 14 units alive for each Gaiden character up until Ymir, 4 of the 14 being Horce, Athena Etzel and Marth, I'a gonna guess that Radd isn't going to be among the other 11; you'll jsut kill him and get it over with as his level sucks. The simple version: Because Ymir will actually be alive by that chapter. The Answer 2.0: On the other hand, if you train him smartly by letting big units hit the Horsemen in his recruiting chapter (Jaigen, Roger, Drag and Shiida + Wing L. come to mind) then Radd can g in for the kill and will Level up pretty damn fast. IF, and only IF you can level him, he's useful. Honestly, I've never used him as a Myrmidon aside from killing priests, mages and the occasinal arena. Anything with low DEF, basically. Endgame, if you 20/20 him, he's damn good. Generally ahs a bit more STR than Navarre though significantly less SKL. She's slow off the start compared to enemy units. I mean, shit, In normal mode she can fall pretty fast. Well, if you're dumb...but still takes a fair bit of damage. Personally, my team consists of Speed units + Gordin. You can't deny that fast units like Ogma and Navarre come in handy when facing pirates and shit and compared to toher archers, Godin just seems to have slightly more defence when he's hit. The only real risk with him is his speed because he can get doubled fairly early. Mages are also useful because for once, the lack of resistance can come into play in our favor. Merric is awesomeness with Excalibur. Failing that you don't wanna use it, get a Blizzard from the online shop. But honestly, if you're getting the Hammmern alter, use the sacred tomes. Everytime I've played I've always wound up with like, 5/7 Hammern uses left and a bit over 30k in gold left even with forging. (Alot of arena abuse for my teams...) But seriously, use the staff. H5 is great for Hardin in my opinion. His spot in the 'High' is well-earned no amtter the rout he takes. I don't take advantage of his high lv in Ch5. Instead, I make him a healer if I already avhe other units that are decent close-range fighters. He already comes with 1 Res anyway. And if he doesnt gain any Mag or only about 2 Mag by lv20, then just change him back to a Melee class after promote and he's got a fair amout of magic resistance. Give him a Forged weapon. Steel Sword with a bit of added Mt is useful as fuck in that case and his resistance on yop of that makes him a killer against the magic users. He'll still take some damage but less healing in the long-run. I will however say that Roger should be a bit lower. The only thing he can brag about is his Luck growth which is cut in half as we all know. I personally use Draug as a Pirate because of the speed he has as one. Can't really say the same for Roger unless you want to reclass him later, though as what, I donno...He just...sucks...I mean, somewhat good Def but poor Skl and Str off the start. And on the subject of Knights, how Dolph is higher than Navarre is beyond me. Navarre is useful when you get him, or you can just give his killer to Ogma...eitherway but he's good for the hits. Dolph gets doubled and needs some tending to. Well, so does everyone but one's a bigger liability. I mean, Dolph joins at Lv4 during Ch12, and Navarre is at Lv3 during Ch2. Hmmm...I wonder which one will have had time to grow by Ch12? Honestly, if the only reason you wouldn't be using Navarre is if you've done some good shit with Ogma. Failing that, I'm pretty sure by Ch12 Navarre is going to be AT LEAST lv10. AT LEAST. I mean, in my game he was...but that's just me...I use Gordin too...I've only ever found Dolph and Macellan useful as Mercs because that's the only class, speed-wise that won't get completely raped in H5. Gordin should also be higher than Matthis and Vyland. Still lower (if you want) but higher than those two. Those two are just horrible. The only way to make them useful is as healers. i mean, Maybe Vyland is useful slightly due to his speed but his skill is piss-poor. Gordon at least as defence to surive when you get him. The other two get mowed down in their recruiting chapter. I also think healer should have their own tier list. You need the healing and they're not going to be doing much else. The exception is Merric and Linde, who of course will only heal if everything's under controle. They'll mainly attack. But even in Normal mode, Wrys and Lena can't cast a spell worth a shit and should stay as healers. honestly, unless you plan on giving them Bolganone or Thoron, give them a fucking Mend and let'em do their thing. If Lena and Wrys are already maxed by the time you get Maria (which they should be) then use her and don't waste the staff exp, unless you're planning on using Wendell for both Atk and Healing, in which case, still use her because Wendell won't always be available. As Melee, they also suck, so there's pretty much no arguments against this for a reclass unless you wanna waste your money of Levins and make them Swordmasters. They are amazing as Swmdmstrs--dont get me wrong, but their Mag suffers upon reclass. One last thing, why are Julian and Rickard even classed in that? Honestly, who the fuck is using them for fighting in H5? I can see it if there's the odd enemy that NEEDS to die and they're your last option but c'mon. They should be with Est or in their own title Call it 'Should have been as funny as Matthew and Colm:'.
  7. My team, Cavalcade has Palla and Catria with 30 DEF as Pally. Donno how the hell I did it but the team weould be godly if I'd ahve chosen maxed Braves over maxed Killers.
  8. you're obviously not considering Forged Long Bow and sages having defence of anywhere from 5-12 and their speed as well as their hp. It is possible. Also, who said the pally is maxed def? Pal Spd max = 25 Sniper max speed = 29. That's a double hit, quad with Braves and Maxed Braves can potentially killl the paladin. That WiFi Team isnt oo much ranged. It's annoying as fuck but if you can pull it off... The only annoyance is the Berzerker who can never be doubled thanks to maxed speed and must always counter if it has a Hand axe unles it's against a long-bow. I agree that warriors have shit speed but they have good Def. What is it? Potentailly a max of 28? I like Heros because they can sue swords/axes. Finally, a sword unit that doesn't use a Levin for Range. That an Ogma and Caesar don't do so well with other classes except maybe Horseman.
  9. Really? Wow. I can't wait for it to happen to you and hear you bitch. If they stay out of your range you need to waste 1 attack to move a unit to spot them. It's a no-brainer that they'll win. I think it's cheap. I mean, My team has 2Swdmstrs 2Heros and 1Fal.Kn. The Fal.Kn has move of 12 (boots) to scout for enemies while the Hero's Hand Axe the melle units for the Swdmstrs to go in for the kills. A good turn can have me kill 2-4 units. The downfall is that they know where I am, unlike the sniper's who are stealthy. My way is somewhat the equivilant. I personally hate Dazzle because that means I wasted my money macing out the crit of all my braves and other weapons. I mean, I'm making a team, currently consisting of 2Swdmstrs, a Brzrkr, a Sage (using Thoron) and Sniper because they'll have the highest critical %. A Sniper has a potential of 70% and I believe a Berzerker is 78%. (With Maxed Killers) I'd be fucked. Dazzle also is the bane of my current team because my Navvar has a maxed Levin Sword with MAG of 11 so he has atk of 30 with it equipped and can potentially kill some characters (definitely Wolf who's RES is 0, reclassed) in 1 round. His Crit's have taken down so many people in 1 hit (44% Crit chance) Not to mention my Radd has about 64% with his Wo Doa maxed. Shiida's Str is only 13 so her critical hit rate of 53% comes in handy when fighting a Pal or HorseMan with her Winged Lance. I'm sure critical has saved our asses many a time. I think cards are a pain in the ass. I mean Judgement, Apotrope, Dazzle; Fuck you. I miss the old way of playing where only 1 unit could atk in multiplayer (FE: GBA) That shit was challenging because there wasn't the chance of having 3/5 team members killed in 1 turn and then having the odds stacked against you. It was actually 'fair', though the gameplay was different because it weas not played like the main story. Fog of War doesn't help either. I think that's a bit of bullshit the range that you can see is definitely bullshit. FE:SD is probably one of, if not THE worste game, despite being the first. 6,7,8,9 & 10 were improvements because of the support system and the fact that units actually had Resistance. Hell, even Tracia and GotHW were improvements. I didn't like that your lords came on horses but what the hell... At least you didn't have a piece of shit Paladin at the start and you got Lex early and levelled fast. This game has a great story but not only lacks the fucking humorous thieves and supports but growth rates that my generation has grown used to. I think the game itself can be cheap. There should at least be an alternate way of fighting in WiFi. They should call it 'Classic Multiplayer' and make it in the 5-man, 4-team, 1-Atk style of the FEs for GBAs.
  10. Scenario: 3 Snipers 1 Draconkight 1 Sage Draconight scouts you for your location. It spots 3 of your units. Sage Swarms 1 and hits it. Sniper 1 then longbows it to death--you donno where the sniper is. Sniper 2 uses a Bravebow to kill your 2nd revealed character in 1 battle. Let's say it's a paladin. (Pally Spd25, Snip Spd29, therefore Brave = 4X) Then, let's say your 3rd unit that was revealed was your Sage. Sniper 3 uses a longbow to kill it in 1 fight. This is a pretty accurate situation because it has happened before to me. Now then, considering none of the enemies are in your movement range, you'l have to more 1 unit near them and that one cannot attack. You avhe 2 units left. Unit 1/2 will HAVE to atk a single Sniper or run because of the Sniper's maxed speed, only a Brave weapon could possible bring it down in 2 battle. Now you're left with 3 units, their 4. you know damn-well you aren't going to come out of that alive. That's why I have a new strategy. Palla and Catria reclassed Mage->Swordmaster. Then, I give them Levin Swords, maxed. It's risky but it let's you hit back against those Snipers. I mean, c'mon, an entire team of ranged units? Really? It's risky on their part but honestly, it shows that to win you have to stay behind. You know what I mean? People can say that it's stategy but I can't wait for it to happen to you and lost half your team in 1 turn and be like, Wow, Coward.
  11. Thanks, you too. You know it doesn't help when you use a card that get's rid of all Criticals and I'm using 2 Swdmstr's with supports and WoDao. You know damn-well that was my downfall. I mean, Navarre's Levin does serious damage even without crits. With 32 Atk with the Levin, he can potentially kill some units in 1 battle. It didn't help that everytime I saw you, someone was blocking the way. The last fight, Caeda prefented me from ranging Wolf so that sucked. I'm not liking that map without my Cavalcade. With that team I have 4 Paladins and can easily move around but when 4 ppl ahve Mov of 8, it's really slow and risky. As for Recover Card, Judgement is useless because you can heal with a Fortify, and since I don't have any healers, I use Recover. I let Caeda use Gradivus yo fully heal if I'm Judgemented and caesar and Ogma share the Hautclere. Recover does help a bit since everything else is pointless. The only other thing I can see using is Battle-Axe. I'm up for some matchs. My friend code is on this page somehwere. tell me if you wanna go.

Edit: First person to beat me in a long time. Now I gotta play 20 more fights for the win streak all over again. Rematch.

  19. Sorry for the double-post but I needed this to be noticed. Since cheezperson has kinda given me the go ahead...I said I'd get it done today but that's not happening. Today I watched the Michael Jackson ceremony so I’ll get to the list after. I’m going to print out the entire thread and then sort out the hackers/cheaters on my laptop. A few things to take note of: 1 - I’m slightly changing the layout. I will not add ‘Spotted By:’. Truthfully, no one cares. It’s not that I don’t want you to have credit; I just don’t want to give any more information that could be confusing. Basically, I want the list to be simple and quick. 2 - I will put out a list of words/letters that will represent certain aspects of the cheating. For example, if I put down ‘Movement (##)’ as one of the reasons for hacking, it will mean that they have a movement range abnormality with the number of steps they can take within the brackets. Movement (32) means they have maxed range and will probably be used for 99% of the movement hacking cases. Also, if anyone plays me and sees my Caeda Falcoknight and accuses me of hacking because her Mov is 12, I will kick your ass; it’s called ‘Boots’. Use some common sense when noticing hacks. I have maxed out Catria in everything except Magic and had her Res at 18 so some things are possible. I also will add a glossary of terms and what they mean when I put them under the ‘Reasons:’ list. 3 - I will start taking note of the units & weapons that the hackers use as I find them and when you confront them, I would urge you to do the same. 4 - I may or may not, depending on the time frame I’m given at home, put everything in alphabetical order. The reason is that since I’ve had my DS, I’ve changed my name 5 times. (Matthew, Matt, FFW, Capracanis and now it’s Goat-Wolf, if anyone’s curious) so name’s are unreliable at times since we can just change them. I suggest that if you find a hacker you go to the index and Crtl + F, type in their name exactly as is and then search my list to see if I have them. If I do, I will post them together with a disclaiming saying it may not be the same person pending on units and the like. This is why I’m asking you to take note of the units/classes/weapons because there’s a slim chance that it may be them. There are exceptions; the person named Adell, for example, always changing their teams’ names. I know this because I play the fucker all the time. The name is uncommon so I’m going to assume anyone named Adell is that same person. 5 - IF I was able to beat them, I will tell you how. Some are beatable (pending on your weapons) and some others either disconnect or your game freezes when they lose, and some disconnect as soon as you claim the castle. I will tell you the outcome if at all possible. I will not continue if I will lose; I will shut off my game. I’m not letting my win-streak get an L for a hacker. Truthfully, I don’t know how many I’ve won in a row, but suffice to say I’ve rarely lost and my Data sees all Ws. I really should have kept a list. 6 – I will not add the names of people who wait the 5 minutes to see if you disconnect. Later, I may, but as is, I’m not wasting my time with that shit. Just leave your game, go grab some food and if their turn ended before they get back, they’ll see how they like it being done to them. 7 – I will either use a different font, put it in Bold or type (OVERSIZED) next to the letters in names that are written using the OVERSIZED font in-game, so that we can tell the difference between them, and CAPS LOCK (Upper-case) names/letters. I’d suggest copying/pasting about 3 of them if you do not wish to post your found-hackers immediately. Remember to take your time and try to get as much info as possible. Don’t be afraid to make them wait. If you do, they’ll just Disconnect and give you another card towards your collection. (Sadly, I already have them all) And if you think it’s too much work then just give me their names/teams and I’ll post them to the list anyway. Failing that, add my MSNs flamesfromwind@hotmail.com or Capracanis@live.com (rarely use) and send them to me immediately as you play online. Also, do not expect this to be done in an hour or today. Give me some fucking time as I am doing this for your convenience and to occupy myself. I might have it done in a few hours, but, then again, I’m wanting to kick some ass online with my new team(s).   20. In theory it works. The long-range thing. If, of course, you're using a full team of Pallys. In which, case, I will always be 2x/4x hit. I generally use Judgement, like everyone else, because I need criticals (Cavalcade uses maxed Killing Edges). If they have Judgment as well, I have Merric + Fortify. I've also found that teams like the above mentioned sometimes lack a healer. Judgement, has actualy saved my life against other teams with ful-on Brave weapons, maxed out.
  21. The triple Sniper thing. Yeah. Intelligent, but it shows that you are afraid to get hit. I'm all about the cloak/dagger tactics. Don't get me wrong, but I'm not risking having them get close to my archers and have me motionless. I think it's cowardly. I know it will happen because I do it all the time. If my enemy has an archer, I try to save it as their last unit unless it's a threat b/c usually I can surround it all all 4 sides, just to piss them off and constantly end my turn. I'm a real asshole on the last unit if I have 3 or more. What about the long-range shit? Ballisticians/Swarm? I can Take swarm but making an entire team of Snipers, Mages and Ballisticians? Really, Get some fucking skill, pussy. Hiting someone from 3 blocks away with a long bow repeatedly is being a coward. You can't tell me if that was happening to you you wouldn't be a little pissed? I'll agree that my tactic of blocking doors was cheap...
  22. Yeah. A team of 3 Snipers is a real piss of, especially if they have long bows because they can pick you off without you seeing them. The grestest thing about Snipers is that they have one of the highest, if not THE potential highest Critial. Killer Bow Fully Forged (50%) Class Bonus (5%) Maxed SKL (30/2 = 15%) Total = 70% EVen with a maxed LUK you'll still have a 40% chance of being smashed.
  23. Snipers can double a capped Pally. Max Speed is 25 for Pally. Max for Snipe is 29, I believe. So far, the only thing Bringing my dow are Long-bow Snipers, Sages, and Polaxes which usually give a 1HKO if they're maxed. I'm using 2 of the Pegasus sisters (not Est) as Pallys. Palla has everything maxed except for Magic (1) and Resistance (18). Both of their Def is 30.
