  1. I raised a 3* Selena to level 7 but thankfully I have a fresh 3* Selena right here: Name: Selena HP: 17 Atk: 13 Spd: 7 Def: 7 Res: 6 Weapon Skill: Steel Sword Assist Skill: N/A Special Skill: N/A Sorry I can't give the duplicate Selena stats!
  2. Serenesforest.net has all the details. I can get the link if you need it.
  3. Can't say for Anna but Alphonse is pretty much not worth it, in my opinion. His skills are not synergistic and he's slow. Shareena is early-game Rally Attack where Attack is both physical and magical. She also can learn Speed+ skills so she's not easily doubled (unlike her brother). Personally, if you somehow get Shareena to level 20+ like I did (I even got Alphonse up there, surprisingly), she could be worth it. She's just a solid before-summon unit that supports herself and others and is a pretty good Lance. Though I can see her being replaced if you get a better support Lance (like my Shanna is coming out to be).
  4. I'm looking for Laslow and any decent green tome. 5* Leo or 5* Tiki would be nice for magic, but I'm prioritizing the previous.
  5. Name: Alphonse (initially 2*) HP: 18 Atk: 16 Spd: 5 Def: 7 Res: 4 Weapon Skill: (2* Steel Sword) N/A Assist Skill: N/A Special Skill: (2* Daylight) N/A
  6. Name: Marth HP: 19 Atk: 23 Spd: 9 Def: 6 Res: 6 Weapon Skill: Falchion Assist Skill: Pivot Special Skill: N/A Name: Olivia (initially 4*) HP: 17 Atk: 16 Spd: 7 Def: 5 Res: 5 Weapon Skill: (4* Silver Sword) N/A Assist Skill: (4* Dance) N/A Special Skill: N/A Wish I had seen this topic earlier since I have 5* Camilla and 5* Robin but have been raising them.
  7. I settled for getting 5-star Camilla and 4-star Olivia in the same summon with other four-stars (and one three-star rip Gwendolyn). Let's just say some people are dying tonight. Though I'm sad Dance doesn't give experience, this Olivia with +3 Attack to adjacent allies at start of turn is working wonders.
  8. @Ryuke: It was 15-16 Def (she leveled up that map and can't remember what she had when she fought). @Topaz Light: I know it's a small sample size. Just thought I can get some insight from others (seems the "/2" would be about right) and wouldn't mind putting more data here in the future regarding the matter. I was more hoping in that it wasn't me that Assault was working in that way. @Soonaynay: Though a small sample size, it's a good start. Thanks for the input. @SatsumaFSoysoy: So far, the normal formula of Attack + Might - Def/Res is sound to me. I haven't been able to level up in stars yet but I think the Attack is already factoring in the Might. Examples of Camilla and Olivia switching weapons in spoiler: The weapon triangle advantage/disadvantage, from observation, applies the 20% to the Attack (it truncates decimals) and then calculates damage the way we've known. And effectiveness seems to be +50% to Attack. No numbers for now but could provide those if necessary in an edit. Thanks for the comments, everyone. If I feel like looking into the matter more, I might edit this post with new data or write another post with the data. And anyone's welcome to contribute if interested. :)
  9. I'm unable to figure out what exactly is the damage calculation for Assault and similar staves. Level 9 Troubadour with Assault Attack: 16 Assault: 10 Description from tapping the Staff icon: "Staff. Magical weapon. Range: 2 (attack only). Damage reduced by target's Res." Level 9 Gwendolyn/Wendy Defense: 15 Resistance: 8 She took 4 damage from this Troubadour. My Beruka took 4 despite having 7 Res. It doesn't make sense to me even if I subtract the Res from the assumed base Attack, the combined Attack, or just from Assault. Though the fact that it only dealt 4 to both Gwendolyn and Beruka despite differing Res's makes me think there's something else I'm missing here (like dividing by two and truncating decimals or something like that).
  10. The cave of which the tree grows without sunlight Chapter 12x - 80s Training Montage
  11. But Glaceon... J- Jokes? I think we were just messing around because of what happened with the earlier chapters, lol. I honestly don't remember now. ANYWAYS I'M SORRY HERE'S A POST So the last time I remembered this run, we were being screwed. And I didn't read the most recent updates. Well then. Yggdrasil - or Fir for short
  12. Once you drop a few units, you should be fine on levels. At the very beginning, it can be hard to drop units until you have better ones. In all seriousness, dropping Bors and Wade (for example, all depends on your playstyle) is probably for the best. I personally find Knights in this game hard to use due to the huge map sizes and every chapter except one being Seize objective. And I agree with the others saying Lot and Wade are not that good. Lot's better but not much better. Thany has a tough start because the early game being pretty axe/lance heavy. If you don't train her soon, she'll have a tough time later in the Western Isles. I like Saul (who you get in this chapter) over Elen since he's faster. The real problem with these two is that, upon promotion, they have an extremely low Light rank on default and raising weapon ranks in this game is slow.
  13. Hey it's FE4 and now we can see pairings. Sophie, you better pick good ones! And Julian, good luck on FE4 again! Alec getting Strength is a funny thing.
  14. As bad as I get with game time, the first series of .hack// I can do in 15 hours each game and that's even when I'm doing sidequests. Due to the nature of the games, it's not too necessary to grind outside of dungeons. There's no random encounters so you can pick your fights if you need to. I mean, if you do the story + sidequests (which there's not many of them in each title as long as you data transfer) and clear out dungeons entirely, you'll probably have the levels and equipment/skills to beat the game.
  15. They're not. I just explained Muarim's. http://serenesforest.net/path-of-radiance/classes/transformation/ Tiger (M) give +7 Strength and the page specifically stats decimals from Demi Band are rounded up. Ena: 27 Strength + 3 (+5/2 = 2.5 = 3 rounded up) + 10 = 40 Attack Again, I said I assumed the boss data on SF's page for FE9 did not already include Demi Band stats or weapon stats because the page doesn't state that it already includes transformed and weapon stats; however, if you want to know without Demi Band stats, Ena's is 27 + 10 = 37. I thought you were more worried about crit chance than Attack. The data assumes Stefan is guaranteed getting hit, as Lord Raven points out. EDIT: The only thing I can think of is that it's because I'm using the SF's FE9 boss data, transformation, and weapons pages instead of using the HM stats thread (didn't know it existed), which may likely be taking stats as though the game was right there and the stats being recorded. If so, then refer to that page instead of the table... which only shows that Muarim has even less Attack and has crit that one Ashera Icon Stefan can attack freely without a chance for crit. Which... only makes it look better for Stefan than worse?
  16. Well whoops. I misread the support page and made that mistake. Still a 9 Lck after two Ashera Icons grants him immunity to Oliver, Kayachey, Shiharam, Kasatai (without Wrath), and Gromell (without Resolve). If he somehow gets lucky or save-scummbed BEXP for +4 Lck, he gets crit immunity for bosses without crit bonuses or second form Ashnard. Even +2 or +3 would be wiping some worry from bosses. Not to mention that 9 Lck grants him crit immunity for a majority of enemies in the game. Those that don't are either special or have 10-11 crit. I wouldn't know about using him for boss-killing since I would have someone promoted by Chapter 15 but, hey, I could see it happening for those bosses with <9 crit chance. I didn't see a note on SF's boss data if Laguz stats are already factoring transformed stats so I put in Demi Band stats + Weapon stats. If they are already factored in, then just remove Demi Band stats. 23 Strength + 4 Demi Band Tiger stats + 9 Claw Might = 36 Attack. If the boss data already factored in Demi Band stats, then that's 32 Attack. So there you go. As for your Wrath question, I think I was tired and thought when it says "adds 50% crit" it meant to x1.5 to the crit already there. But not that I recommend having Stefan go up to someone under Wrath anyways... I never said that.
  17. Pretty much. Heck, I never used Elincia because of her massive investment for BEXP, but I kind of want to in a future playthrough. Out of my own curiosity, and assuming I did the math right, I figured out boss Attack and Crit chances (not factoring in Stefan's defenses): Muarim: 36 Attack, 8 Crit Kimaarsi: 27 Attack, 11 Crit (after +5 from Crit) Oliver: 16 Attack, 7 Crit Kayachey: 24 Attack, 7 Crit Naesala: 39 Attack-15 Attack (wind attack), 13 Crit Homasa: 26 Attack-22 Attack (Sonic Sword), 23 Crit after +15 SM Bonus) Shiharam: 33 Attack, 8 Crit Kasatai: 26 Attack, 7 Crit (can be 57 Crit if Wrath activates) Ena: 40 Attack, 11 Crit Schaeffer: 30-33 Attack (K. Bow or Axe), 38 (after +30 K. weapon bonus) Petrine: 28 Attack (magic), 11 Crit Rikard: 29-34 Attack, 10 Crit Gromell: 26 Attack, 9 Crit (can be 14 Crit after Resolve) Betram: 34 Attack (either Runesword or Spear), 12 Crit (17 after +5 from Spear) Hafedd: 31-32 Attack, 13 Crit (18 Crit after +5 from Spear) Heddwyn: 34-36 Attack, 9 Crit (14 or 19 after Bolting/Rexbolt Crit bonus) Bryce: 44 Attack, 13 Crit (18 Crit after Wishblade) Ashnard: 55-60 Attack, 13-15 Crit There's an Ashera Icon in Chapter 8 and one in Chapter 16, the chapter after Stefan. By Shiharam's chapter, you can have C support Soren and by Gromell B Soren. Heddwyn would be A Soren. One can have Mordecai C and B by the time one gets Soren's C. Max base Crit dodge and defense with A Soren, B Mordecai with two Ashera Icons would be 16 Crit dodge and 13 Def/10 Res. Yeah, if he ate a crit by a boss except Oliver, he wouldn't survive theoretically (only considering bases), but after giving him Ashera Icons and Soren supports, he would dodge some boss' crit chances. And with someone like Schaeffer, you could steal the Killer Axe. I was pretty curious. EDIT: So tired Dual was tired Dual so fixed this table of stats. This is what I get for using doing the calculations on my own.
  18. Depends on the game but generally I abuse one-three. Final Fantasy: Haste, Wall, Reflect. Pokemon: Paralyze, Sleep (for captures), Confusion. Persona: none really but stat buffing/debuffing is very important Etrian Odyssey: whatever status the enemy is weak too, binding Fire Emblem: most times no but Silence in FE4 or FE14 Conquest last chapter It really depends on if the enemies are easy to kill or really annoying that you should abuse a status effect.
  19. All this debating... Path of Radiance, even on hard, is relatively easy compared to other titles. There really is no one that unusuable. Heck, there's ways to train Rolf by abusing Chapter 12's mechanics. My consistent units are: -Ike -Mist -Soren -Jill But to the OP, I'd say go with whomever. Of course there are some units easier to use than others but there isn't a big gap of difference enough to say "never use this person" like, say, Fiona in FE10 hard mode.
  20. Haha, it's just me saying it's not too different. Just heat it gradually so you'll avoid splattering onto yourself. :) Um, as far as Kewpie goes, try like a Walmart first if it's near you. I've only seen it once outside of an Asian market and that's at Walmart for around that price. It'll be a malleable bottle in a wrapper with a baby icon on regular shelves. No, you don't need nagaimo/yamaimo (never had them either). I swear I didn't even do the grated potato replacement but it was years ago I made it. Referencing between the two site recipes, it seems you just gotta make sure the batter is not exactly like pancake batter. You want it thinner but preferably fluffy enough so the cabbage sticks together. Benito/fish flakes (or katsuobushi) are dried and smoked fish cut into "flakes" so you can sprinkle it onto the okonomiyaki and give it a fishy and savory taste. I love it but I also like fish. But ooh, cooking together. That'll be awesome. B]
  21. Aw. Haha. I've been cooking for a bit so I can understand starting out. The oils are there to make sure the ingredients don't burn and stick to the pan while giving some flavor to the overall dish. It's pretty much like using butter or cooking spray but healthier and tastier. And no worries, I'm still learning about shopping for vegetables as well. :) The Kewpie mayonnaise itself can be $7. So yeah, as long as the plate is big enough, go ahead and split it! Hey Dusk! Just a little cooking talk in the morning, haha.
  22. It was pretty easy, actually! Here's what I say for the very least: (Napa) cabbage [ingredients for the batter] optional: [the sauces and/or the seaweed sprinkles, if you want] optional: anything else, including vegetables and meats Buying for the most essential ingredients shouldn't be too much on the wallet; the sauces and the optional ingredients would be the most costly. A couple options are you make it but be like a bare minimum for one serving (or add on if you want) or when you go to try okonomiyaki at the restaurant that you bring a friend along and split it--but asking first how big the plate is. An okonomiyaki I had at a restaurant was massive, filling a large plate easily.
  23. I'm the friend. I made okonomiyaki as my first time tasting of it in a class... though it was a long time ago when I did make it. The base is cabbage and what is best describe as "pancake batter." Just make enough to stick the cabbage together because the cabbage is the main thing about okonomiyaki. To top the main dish, you can have Kewpie mayonnaise (it's thinner and complements Japanese dishes), an okonomiyaki sauce (though I swear we had a dark sauce of some kind store-bought), seaweed sprinkles, and fish flakes. But after that, you can customize it by cooking vegetables and meats (like bacon or pork) because "okonomi" means "preference" or "choice"! This site's recipe, while adding more than necessary, does say you can use all-purpose flour instead of special Okonomiyaki flour http://www.justonecookbook.com/okonomiyaki/ And this seems a bit more basic but definitely play around with recipes http://allrecipes.com/recipe/99795/okonomiyaki/ I guess if you did go to restaurants, they would charge $10-$15 because ridiculous restaurant prices, but the most basic/simple recipe shouldn't be that much if you want to try it yourself. :)
  24. Welcome to SF! Hey. It's one of the easier FE's so nice choice. :) So I see that you're uploading the pics through SF itself but I would recommend to upload the pics to an image host then post them here as images. That way, the pics will be a good size instead of people having to click on them to enlarge them. And if you end up having a lot of images (the max on a post is 100), you can put them in a spoiler so the post remains short and clean. As for unit choices... I'm admittedly not versed in FE8 since it's not my most favorite but I hear Franz and Ross are good.
