    *sgrunt* I'm trying new stuff and in my current savefile I married Sully but may I say it's a general disappointment? Kjelle benefits from her +str father and the all-classes thing but Morgan seems so... average? Anyway, I'm curious, not considering Chrom (who married Sumia) or Kellam who could be Inigo's best father?

    Thank you, Czar! Also, Uh, I remember that sniper, it was my nightmare indeed when I saw him the first time. I think I survived thanks to Noire having a forged long bow, Owain covering her when needed and lots of luck.

    I have a very, very silly question: I'm starting my new run to apo in lunatic plus and I'm planning to marry Say'ri because I genuinely like her. This... being aware she's far from being and excellent mother. Anyway, my point is: to get the best Morgan what asset/flaw should I pick? I'm considering +spd/mag- but I'm not too sure about it...

    Completed everything in my run, finally! From the first chapter in lunatic plus to the secret route in apotheosis... and it's been a very good run for me! Now I'm doing a no-grind lunatic run and... I just have to find out what to do next, I feel like keeping this lun+ file but I'd also love to start a new one, maybe with few restrictions.

    Good gawd, can we avoid terms like 'waifu' or 'hubby' at least here? It gets kinda annoying after a while! Anyway, I'd just pay for more Chrom and Sumia pairings to mess with them around more. Something I'd be somehow happy to try would be Say'ri!Chrom, Lucina would get galeforce and she'd be rather fast.

    I am a Maribelle!Chrom runner so, yeah, I know Lucina can be magically inclined when you have that pairing... and I wasn't looking at stats, I just suggested another character who IS relevant even if early in the game. Since she said Marrying Lucina was a little off I suggested another character, that's it *W*''''

    If you want a good magical daughter and you don't want to marry Lucina because maybe she's physical (with dark knight I guess you'll have a mag+ asset) you might consider as she's relevant in the story and yet not 'your daughter. But I agree with everything the other said so far.

    So... I'm done with the maingame, Defeating Grima was a breeze and I only had to hit him once with Brady/my avatar with a forged Celica's gale so... time to plan for the real deal, apotheosis. I tried to pair the kids together and those are the results, this will probably be my definitive setup for the attacking pairs on apotheosis. Do you think it's possible beating it with them? I was almost tempted to swap Yarne and Inigo and it might happen, all children pairs are still to do. This will be my 14 active 14 characters to bring in APO (Even if I may switch to less pairings if I see more support is needed), accompanied by 5 staffbot/healers/ralliers and Dancer!Olivia. For the supporting ones I will probably pick spotpass units, aka Celika, Nyna, Erika and Micaiah but I still have to start training those. Heck, I only have 3 LB for now... Also, yes, I will bench both Nah and Gerome but... it's okay? Their mothers will be paired only for the sake of the past future dlc.

    My votes go to Tiki and Nah's support, Maribelle and Chrom's one and Gaius with Cherce. And anyone with Brady- but that's because I'm a silly fangirl on that.

    Yup. And worry not, My brain farts more times than yours anyway. About the speed issue I was slightly concerned about that but if needed Brady is a Galeboy and HE will be damn fast anyway. I may consider to leave TF behind for AS+2 to get more speed. I mean, Gaius!Cynthia has a whooping 48 base spd (+12ralliestonic+3sagepairup+2allstat+LB) and will hit 75, Hero!Severa is lon'qu's daughter (with another 48 base spd) and will definitely hit 75 with any berseker partner but having another spd unit who can double even the fastest... isn't bad at all. Heck, I adore spd, the only reason I still have to marry either Panne and Olivia is because I'm debating if I should give Virion to Inigo (46 base spd as a hero + galeforce + various supports would make him a very fast unit - maybe pairing him with paladin!Kjelle.) Stahl's haircolor is sooo ugh, duh. Jokes aside, I am still considering who will be Stahl's son/daugher, you don't even know how many times I rearranged my plans... and I'm not using him on Panne mostly because I know I'd just go all 'no, if she's going to marry a horse-rider she's marrying Frederick!' because I'm a stupid woman. Also, Cynthia was going magical mostly. For Apo I was planning AvatarxBrady (DF-sage), Severa-Yarne (Hero-Berserker), Inigo-Kjelle (Hero-Paladin), Lucina-Sage husband, Cynthia-Sage husband (two DF-sage pairs). And that's 10/20 units we can have on the ground, I will have at least 6 staff-ralliers, Olivia (bride) and her husband being two of them, Chrom and Maribelle will be on the floor because Chrom has to be around anyway and I still have to pick the remaining two characters to have in it. Sage!morgan and sniper partner could be one of those pairings since sniper-sage seems a good set, but in this case I will definitely need to find the best set for a sniper girl between noire and nah. Chrom pairs up with Maribelle as a Dread Fighter because it offers her a magic and speed boost. With him like that he can still use swords without risk and Maribelle's stats go up to: Skl: 69 ((44 (base)+10 (LB)+ 3pairup +2 (Tonic) +10 (rallies) )) Spd: 70 (( 42 (base) +10 (LB) + 6 (3+1+2) + 12 (tonic&rallies) Magic: 81 ((48 (base) +10 (LB) + 6 (3+1+2) + 12 (tonics and Rallies + 5 tomefaire)) Eventually 71,72,83 if I add an AS+2 but I usually keep galeforce, tomefair, lifetaker, LB and Dual Support +. But... actually if Dual Support + isn't that useful in that case I could ditch it gor AS+2.... uhn.... May not be perfect setting and may receive an unnecessary str boost but she's pretty much nuking stuff around, galeforcing and attacking again with enough speed to avoid to be doubled by enemies. Silly question: how many magic-resistant enemies do you have in apo? I'm asking because Maribelle can efficiently kill two units on the top in the very first wave-first turn and even if they're bulky they're somehow 'weak' to magic. But when it comes to units with higher resistance I doubt a full-magical team could help. (also- Severa has always been a magical pain to grind, at least for my personal experience...)

(And thanks about the spd stuff, I messed it up) As much as I'm ready to mess around with pairings I sincerely dislike MuxChrom and- I'm already 112 hours in, between grinding and unlocking supports and simply enjoying dlc conversations. Even if I lose time around he's already married by now. And I'm still not too confident about apo X°D Anyway the next time I will do a lun+ run I will probably go mag+/str- (I prefere to focus only on a single kind of weapon), it's just a matter of time. Oh, Ricken is already married with Miriel and already gave birth to an amazing laurent, Libra!Owain seems rather solid as well and I'm just debating who's going to marry who at this point. Inigo is going to run with Kellam and I have Maribelle!Lucina, Chrom!Brady, Ricken!Laurent, Lon'Qu!Severa, Donnel!Kjelle and Owain in the way, now I'm more trying to fix the remaining kids and fathers. And- this was more a large sheet I put down trying to understand how pair ups work... I kept messing things up before X°D

I realized I did something really stupid- Lucina wouldn't have ignis- I was about to write dual support + (she can grab it descending from Maribelle)- but if you think dual strike + could be better I'm ready to bet on it. And- With what you said Lucina would look like this with any sage, then? Skl: 73 ((44 (base)+10 (LB)+7(Pair up bonus = Support unit’s stat bonus[3] + Support unit’s class bonus[2] + Support level bonus [+2]) +2 (Tonic) +10 (rallies) )) Spd: 68 (( 43 (base) +10 (LB) + 5 (3+0+0) + 12 (tonic&rallies) )) Luck: 75 (( 50 (base) +10 (LB) + 5 (3+0+0) + 12 (tonic e rallies) Magic: 81 ((45 (base) +10 (LB) + 9 (3+4+2) + 12 (tonics and Rallies + 5 tomefaire)) She's a Def+/Skl- avatar. Maybe not the best choice, If I could go back I'd pick either magic or speed as asset- but back then every lunatic+ suggestions site was ointing at this setup- and with this being my first lun+ run I trusted them- just to find out it's useful basically only in the first four chapters. Oh, well. She'll be a dark flier with 35 str, 42 mag, 38 skl, 42 spd, 47 lck, 35 def and 43 res. I was also considering Gerome as Husband to make a physical and strong morgan but in the end I prefere magical users too much... not to mention Severa and Kjelle will probably enjoy two strong berserkers at their side. Then I only have to pick between Ricken!Laurent and Libra!Owain. They're both magical monsters... ok, so I will have weapons ready for that- and I only know I will use lots of celica's gales forged and brave weapons (I'm not ready for an apo run without them) and I will do those calculations when I have a definitive setting in mind. And- thanks for the explanation!

    Sorry if I disappeared, I've been sick with tonsillites and I didn't feel like being online too much. Anyway, I will jump on the calculations bandwagon and try two couples here if it's all right with you. Could you please tell me if the calculations are correct and who'd you pick between the two options I'm trying to set up here? Also- this may be a stupid question but what is 'procs' for?

    I probably don't understand completely how pair up works but now I can't stay around the pc, do you mind if I write down later a pair-up sample totally random so maybe you can tell me if I got it correctly?

    So... basically every pair-up would grant her a 75 spd, I like it. Lon'Qu Severa will be, suggestion on the skills to pass down from her father? But if I plan to use her as a Morgan-support it doesn't matter too much, does it? As a slow father I always compare Kellam first (he offers her a wonderful -3 spd) she'd still hit 30+ spd aka provide a +3 boost... So I have to admit I don't quite get it. Also, I know the lack of TF is kinda bad on Noire *sigh*. But now I have to ask you something: Libra (Who will go to Owain, I'm just using an example) Noire's stats are 31,51,44,44,42,33,42 as a sage, Virion!Noire's stats as a sniper are 42,34,50,44,42, 40,32... if I pair her up, ignoring the class bonuses, aren't speed bonuses supposed anyway to be the same? That's something I honestly don't understand. I will take a good look at this... I may make her a Sage!Morgan's sniper. He'd have galeforce and... she wouldn't but it wouldn't bother me too much. (?) I know Gaius!Noire'd be the best but I want to find a way to pick between full optimization and something I like. And while I'm open to almost every suggestion Most Tharja pairings make me uncomfortable... and Gaius!Tharja somehow is the cherry on the top of the uncomfortable zone. If I can make her a pro-support sniper without touching Gaius I'll be happy... (And it's not I go all fangirling and OTP OTP about this, my favorite Gaius Support is with Cherce but I know it'd be a terrible waste of father-potential and I place him in better places if I can) Aaand- just married Lon'Qu and Cordelia, one step closer to have Severa in my team.

    I know that, at least, and that's why I spent enough time with every worthy male unit to learn it, just in case. I have to admit I don't like Dread fighters too much but I use it on Chrom because it's his only class (If I'm not wrong) that offers a magic+ and Sage Maribelle really benefits it. With S support it's a +1(base),+2(support level),+3(Because Basic DF Chrom has 38max mag) and... well, LB Maribellen has 58 base Mag and enjoys a +6. With Tomefaire she reaches a good +11, let's add Galeforce and a Forged Celica's Gale, all+2 and Ds+ she turns in a powerhouse as leading unit. I tried many combinations but Her leading and Chrom Supporting as DF is the best so far. (with a tonic she easily reaches Mag71, add a Rally spectrum and a rally heart and she can run up to 77) The saddest part is I always neglected both Noire and Nah but now I feel somehow forced to use them planning for Apotheosis...Never had issues with Kjelle, thought, because she's always been a galegirl (but in one file where I went for the lolz and her father was Chrom...) This was suggested more than once, that's why I started considering it because Owain is strongly magical, has access to gf and many magical classes- hitting 60 mag with sage. and why I was planning to pair him with DF Cynthia. Severa will either go with Gerome or Yarne, Kjelle will pick the other one, and Laurent will marry Lucina. My only issue is who could be a better Pair for Morgan at this point between Nah (I'm giving Henry!Nah a look now but I'm not too convinced...) and Noire knowing the other will be paired up with Kellam!Inigo. For a moment I considered to marry Inigo to have a Physical Morgan but then again Brady will be in need for a magical wife... Also, not really relevant but I'm a woman :P Edit: May sound silly... but what if I pair up Morgan and Lucina, ignoring the fact they're related, and I leave Noire and Laurent on a bench of sort increasing the number of healers and ralliers in my apo-party? It'll be Chrom+19 units so... Chrom+Maribelle+Avatar= 3 first gen The kids minus Laurent and Noire: 10 second gen units Olivia with Special Dance 2 units with rally heart 2 units with Rally spectrum (Or Olivia as a Bride to have one more staff user AND one extra rally heart unit. Or Olivia, 1 extra unit with RH and 2 with RS Plus Kellam to increase Olivia's defence with S-support)

    And, after a good sleep here I am, finally awake. True, but then I'd have Laurent unpaired- I can't give him to a physical unit because that'd be a complete waste of his LB-62 mag stat and a non-galeforce pair is just a waste. Cynthia is another great unit, she's basically unscrewable and if Sumia could marry a generic villager she'd probably still be good (I guess Fred is her worst bet?) but I was planning to pair her with Owain, another male unit who'd otherwise being without magical pair-up. Cynthia'd be a great partner- but I was considering her for Owain. Every father but Vaike offers him a massive magic boost, he probably wants his sage class with his galemom passing him down the skill he needs. I was planning to go with Virion!Yarne but at this point it could be overkilling in speed? Lon'Qu Seera with LB and ALL+2 hits 60spd, tonic pre battle will grant a 62 and I'd rather pair her with a berserker for postgame because it'd increase her attack and her spd while warrior increases str and def- and with a basic +3 we'd already hit 65. Even with a slow dad Gerome hits 54 spd and Kellam!YArne 56 (I only picked slow fathers, I'm not picking them thought), they still add an addictional +3 to speed, don't they? Plus S support it's a +5 and she hits 70 if I understood how to make calculations correctly. The missing 5 comes from rally heart and rally spectrum skills? I'm sorry if I posted the whole thing but I'm trying to understand if I do this kind of things correctly. Also, thanks for the skill suggestion, her parents are almost stat capped and I was getting ready to grab her (Yes, I'm really slow and I often over-grind units using paragon and having them, paired up, taking care of Champions of Yore 3 by themselves over and over until they reach an high level...) Nah? I was definitely going physical with her, how do you make her a strong magical support?

    But then again with Severa being physical and Lucina being his aunt Morgan would have no magical pair. Kjelle wants a physical unit with her, same goes with Severa... but I guess I will check tomorrow in the morning how Ialways do. I thought with a couple of skills and a forged Celica's gale she could be a good partner but if you think it's a bad idea I will try to figure out something better for Morgan.

    I checked a couple of things and I think I will run with Lon'qu!Severa Hero (same strenght than virion, highest speed and sklmods. Even if he loses a bit in def and res as far as I heard apo units are supposed to be more glass cannons who can break down anything than units who can endure lots of turns.) and I'm really tempted by Virion!Noire - Sniper even if she may not be super-optimal :/ But at the same time Libra!Noire is smiling at me because Morgan wants a magical partner. Oh, my, so many possibilities. Now I have to leave and go to work but I will definitely return and try to put down a better list when I'm back, it's much easier with the sources you offered me! Also, thank you for the warning, Czar!

    Since I'm pairing Lucina with Laurent and I don't have other magical kids so far (Nah, Gerome, Yarne, Severa and Kjelle will definitely be physical) Maybe I should try to pick a magical father for Noire and make her a sorcerer or something other kind of blasting magical unit? They could be my second magical pairing between the kids and... I'm currently checking Noire's possible fathers to make her a good supporting unit. Libra and Henry seem to offer her an amazing mag boost and even if there's a bit of class overla libra has a lesser stat negative mod to offer- I always feel bad for whoever marries Tharja, kinda (X°D), and I never used Noire too much but maybe I could try to make them a good team. Or, at least, a decent one? Oh, I guess I will enjoy a good night o lurking/sleep and return here when I have more energies, thank you for the support! I'm going to keep this in mind. Luna, Astra/Renewal, Tomefaire, Galeforce and Ignis until I get Limit Breaker and then replace Astra with LB and go on with it. I mean, you all have much more experience than me on optimization, I almost always went with 'I enjoy the game and I finish it enjoying the story' X°D

    I heard that, the difference should be a difference between attacking from a different distance to avoid your counters whenever possible and a forge (or a couple of forges) on a weapon... anyway, I'm planning to read the whole topic and get more inspiration from it. Like... now I'm starting to consider a faster father on Severa... That's a great point, actually... I just have to decide what to do with Morgan, especially because I will definitely use him as a front-liner... I will definitely take a look, thanks for the suggestion! Sage Brady - Dark flier support? I like it... I just have to check the skills but even in this case I'd probably go with a simple tomefaire/astra/Galeforce/LB and a filler-support one for both. I like regenerative skills but I will have at least 2-3 staff-rallybots I will try to keep out of range anyway....
