  1. On the topic of Setsuna, doesn't her support with Niles simply have the two of them talking and relaxing?
  2. Going to try again and request Effie/Percy, Hinoka/Sophie and/or Setsuna/Nina, if that is alright. Also, I find the Odin/Orochi support and the Orochi/Ophelia conversation really pleasant for what they imply about Odin and Ophelia's personalities. Namely how despite everything Odin went through in his life and how despite Ophelia's obligatory bag of issues that comes from being a deeprealm baby neither of them has it in themselves to truly hate someone enough to curse them.
  3. A Hoshidan being surprised at a Nohrian thinking that it is normal to be outside when it's dark...Even though it is usually dark in Nohr...
  4. It is almost like someone among the writing staff has a thing for mind altering substances.
  5. Yeah, what Abvora said. Thank you. Looking forward to the others at some point in the future, too. By the way, are there also sibling supports in this DLC? Probably not but I'd like to ascertain that. Speaking of the two that I got, it was pretty amusing to see Rinkah getting fired up and trying to drag Ignatius of all the children into the haunted house. I'm a bit disappointed that the conversation between Hana and Velouria was going over something that was already covered in their A support. Namely, Velouria should have already resolved herself...Though, I admit that there is a notable difference between "just" being motivated to do something and managing to keep yourself motivated through out the ordeal. And one of those deals with the "what" while the other deals with the "how"...
  6. Personally, I'm very much not a fan of the support between Camilla and Niles. Sure, it has Camilla provide the information that she does in the A rank conversation, but it utterly fails as an actual support chain for me. First, he harasses her over a relationship that means the most to her. Then, he does it again and tells her why she deserves it. And then she knocks him off his high horse, tells him why his reasons for bothering her in particular are hogwash and he admits that he screwed up there. And after that mess a decent number of people think that this pile of rubbish should proceed into an S rank. Is this some sort of elaborate joke? Niles' behavior here is a whole new level of off putting.
  7. Not much of a contribution, I know, but if there is one thing that I feel deserves mention it is the following. If no one else, then Anankos definetely deserves a massive buff. As in, enough of a buff to make him notably more powerful than double-zombie-Takumi. Like, for starters, maybe give him a unique skill called something like "Draconic Essence" which would be a more powerful version of Dragonskin where it would reduce damage to a third or maybe even a quarter of the original value while the Omega Yato will deal either two thirds or half of the original value instead.
  8. My apologies if some of these were already covered but I'd like to throw some requests out there and see what sticks. If possible, I'd like to see the Kaze/Shigure, Azura/Midori, Effie/Percy, Orochi/Ophelia, Hana/Velouria, Setsuna/Nina, Rinkah/Ignatius, Hinoka/Sophie and/or Sakura/Rhajat conversations, if possible.
  9. @MCP: Actually, that "for once" was referring to the general, "could have been done better" writing quality of Fates and not anything in particular. I just thought that this time they've really hit the nail on the head with the atmosphere of the conversation and the raw emotion of it.
  10. Sweet wyrmling Dusk Dragon, that M!Corrin/Camilla conversation is the most heartwarming, fuzzy and adorable thing I've read in a while. For once, mad props to whoever wrote it.
  11. ...You're all joking, right? This is obviously a self deprecating line.
  12. Here is a thing I noticed about the way the families are represented when Xander and Ryoma fight each other. Xander's responses to Ryoma's words come across as pretty controlled and impersonal to me. Meanwhile, Ryoma and Takumi come off as much more emotional and, as such, impulsive.
  13. Honestly, this is a question of whether you think you should grit your teeth and drag yourself through the muck in hopes of restoring Nohr or if you don't feel like bothering with that and find it acceptable to rout away at the kingdom, one map at a time. Personally I think that if you're going to try and do good you might as well do it where it is needed more.
  14. Oh, so the Avatar can use the Friendship Seal with multiple people. That is quite nice. But I still wonder if there is any compelling reason to pick a Nohrian secondary class in Conquest or a Hoshidan secondary class in Birthright. Since you can just use a Friendship Seal to reclass the Avatar into any "path appropriate" class I can't think of any reason to do that.
  15. No idea if this is where these sorts of questions should go but... The Avatar can only A+ support with one single unit of the same gender, right? Also, is there any compelling reason to pick a Nohrian secondary class in Conquest or a Hoshidan secondary class in Birthright?
  16. Tense does nothing to imply being weak minded and/or lacking concentration, though. Also, is there any reason at all to pick a Nohrian/Hoshidan Talent on Conquest/Birthright?
  17. Clear's new name is Kilma and Draconic Curse became Draconic Hex. Anyone else catch any other details in the review videos?
  18. I'd also like to point out that, going by that Conquest article, Deadly Breath is now Savage Blow.
  19. Nice final groan there. I mean, you can actually hear it and all.
  20. Oh snap. Adding to my post on the previous page, here is another thing. "A FAMILIAR disguise", anyone?
  21. Just a little something I'd like to point out. First of, there is obviously the contrasts of "conquest and fate" vs "birthrights and love" but then there is also the "embrace the dark" vs "in the white light" bit. Post split chapter 6 names and all. I'd also like to think that, given Corrin's angle of dealing with the conflict between Nohr and Hoshido on the Conquest side, the line about how "the black pillar cracks beneath its weight" is referring to Corrin's burden on that side. Also, it isn't just the (groans) bit that is eyebrow raising. There is also the "hard as a stone" bit.
  22. Let's go all the way, though. "Hard as a stone" (groans of increasing dis(?)comfort).
  23. @SS: Say what now? Nyna's inability to get over the situation with Camus is one of the major reasons behind the War of Heroes.
  24. @Weebos: That doesn't make a lot of sense, though. That would make the avatar older then any of the four Hoshido siblings when he/she is supposed to be the middle child of both sibling groups.
  25. Garon. *squawk* Garon, Garon, Garon. Everyone keeps parroting this one thing. The entire point of the Nohr campaign is adressing the problems that he causes. The only ones who pick Nohr for Garon are the ones who want to play as a conqueror anyway. Everyone else who picks Nohr for plot reasons does so for the sake of the Nohrian siblings and making it a better kingdom. Which side you join when it comes to plot reasons really does boil down to whether bonds of blood are more important to you then bonds of "sweat" and if one values the latter more there is nothing wrong with sticking by the Nohr sibs, whom you were raised with. So the "ruthless conquerors" point is moot and so is the "real family" point. Also, "superior katanas"? The katana were "folded over a thousand times" so that they would be usable at all. They were made from horrible steel and a masterfully crafted katana is, at best, equal to an average european sword.
