I strongly dislike Roy and have a general distaste for FE6 in general. I actually very much enjoy the fanservice-y aspects of Awakening and Fates. If I have a choice between two units of the same class, and one of them is female, I pick the female most of the time (with some exceptions).

I'd say that's the mentality that Fire Emblem fans have had that's scared so many new players away from the series in the first place. There's nothing wrong with being more inclusive.

I'll always play Classic, but I wonder what difficulty I want to start on. I'm doing Hoshido first, and debating whether to start on Normal or Hard. I've heard the Normal mode in Fates is tougher than Awakening's, so it'd be good to get my feet wet with it first, but I still don't want it to be a pushover, as I've been playing deftly with this series for many installments. The theme is of choices is present after all, eh?

I'm pretty afraid for the release not from a sales standpoint (irrelevant to me; i'll be getting every version), but instead with how badly things may get censored. I personally really enjoy most things to come out of this game so far (including My Castle and all its features), so I'd hate to see some of them squandered or forsaken in the language that I understand.

To my knowledge, there's been no English footage of female Kamui. As someone who was also unimpressed with the male Kamui voice, I'm eager to know this as well. Although, there's a good chance that we'll simply get multiple voice actors for each gender, or I would at least hope so. I know the Japanese version instead has one actor doing five different voices, but without intending to discredit our actors Stateside, they don't seem as... versatile? We don't often see a single actor performing multiple versions of one character, anyway.

The only spoilers I want to be free of are story spoilers, and thus, careening about this subforum has been tricky. In the hype thread in particular, I'm pretty much covering my eyes while I skim the posts extremely lightly as I scroll downwards quickly just to look for Skinship stuff. Still, this is a great thread. Something to get the ball rolling: I wonder how Odin's personal skill is going to be implemented in the international release. Maybe rather than the 8 kanji, it's instead reaching the character limit?

Everything would have been just peachy if they left the Hoshido names alone, but no. *sigh...* Of course, I prefer the original names, but I've been able to get over most of them. Except for Tsubaki. "Subaki"... ugh. I just hope that no other name gets a treatment that bad. I'm bracing myself for the worst.
