Astram as of now looks a bit tougher, it's definately those spikes(it's strange that he didn't have them in SD, since he had them in the original games). -

Horace: Shadow Dragon New Mystery Something looks funny about those eyes, as if he's surprised about something. -
How do the difficulties compare to other games?
Ryan7556 replied to Tables's topic in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow
I'll warn you that maniac is pretty difficult, especially on chapter 20 where you have enemy paladins capped in strength and nearly capped in speed, not to mention that a lot of them have spears too. -
summary of new features in FE3 DS?
Ryan7556 replied to geozeldadude's topic in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow
This hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, but weapon weight was removed. I'm not sure if you would count that as a new feature, or just a changed feature. -

Enemies don't have forged tomes(in Maniac) is what I'm saying, the player can forge tomes just like in SD. -

No forged magic as far as I know. -
Deciphering the growths
Ryan7556 replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow
Etzel is a pre-promote and apparently has better magic growth than Merric or Linde, he also has surprisingly high defense growth (45%) and 20% resistance growth, he hasn't turned out bad in my current playthrough. -
Deciphering the growths
Ryan7556 replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow
Did you looks at Frey's growths? He has 55 spd alone apparently, I haven't used him but he might be actually worth using again. Also it seems Wolf/Sedgar have good growths, just not gamebreaking growths anymore. I also just noticed Ogma has 15 resistance growth. Barst has pretty balanced growths overall beating Bord and Cord in both strength and defense, however he does lose to Ogma by 10% strength though. -

I'm currently on chapter 16. To those who played far enough, was anyone else surprised to see enemy warriors appear? -

Something I forgot to mention earlier, you can also recruit Barst in chapter 5 with Cord. I think you may be able to the do the same with Bord but I haven't tried it. -

Just got to chapter 15 on maniac mode, as of now all enemies have silver weapons(magic users have bolganone). Also, enemy killer and throwable weapons are forged. Another thing I noticed was that enemy horseman are wielding swords now, I remember them just using bows in Shadow Dragon. Unrelated to the above but I was browsing the character relationship chart and saw Beck on the Akaneia/Archanea section, I think that confirms that he is from Akaneia and not a soldier of grust which is listed in the Shadow Dragon section. -

There are hunters there in maniac too, and the reinforcements are also armour knights with cavaliers and a mage. -

I only played the original game up to chapter 5, but I read some details on the later chapters such as that berserker with a sword on chapter 11. Since I just beat chapter 11 I can confirm that the "berserker" has been replaced by 2 swordmasters each wielding a master sword(one of them is droppable). -

Something else I want to ask about, on the weapons page on this site there are weapons such as Ogma's sword and Barst's axe listed. How do you get them? Does it have something to do with that option beside the clock on the preparations screen, I used it once and apparently I got this different looking axe that had 10 uses. It might have been that quick axe. -

I'm not sure if anyone's been paying attention to base conversations but I think I noticed something here: I think the one star conversations show up depending on how many chapters units participate in, for example I've used Warren for every chapter since 2, and he's had two one star conversations over the course of the game(currently on chapter 11). I've been using Ogma for a good amount too and he's had 2 conversations with my unit, he also had a conversation with Caeda and I only used them together for the last few chapters. Malliesia, like Warren has had two conversations with my unit, and recently had a conversation with Caeda. Also, Barst talked to my unit and I've also been using him for the last couple of chapters. I'm saying this because I remember seeing a screenshot of Palla and Catria having what appears to be a base conversation. There has been no conversation between them so far, I think it's because I haven't been using them. -

In shadow dragon they had 6 might, so I guess they were made more powerful. EDIT: You beat me to it. Anyway, I'm currently on chapter 8 on Maniac and Hardin's stats are 28 in almost everything, no magic and luck though, his resistance is 23, he also has 74 HP. -

I was watching the stream the other day and I remember the chapter 2 dragon knight boss being stationary, I believe he was playing on normal mode. Currently I'm playing on maniac, and on chapter 2 that dragon knight boss does move(like in the original). -

After you select the difficulty, the two options that appear after that are casual and classic right? Which is which?
