Although we don't know for certain if Europe will get 1 game yet, this is very interesting. It's strange that they would do that for Europe and not the US, and I don't really see the reasoning behind it, but whatever. It's good for them if this is the case, I just find it strange. I'll be waiting for more information nonetheless.

Honestly, if they can fix Nohr so it stops shitting on you for picking Nohr and they fix some of the more questionable supports/dialogue (looking at you Soleil) I'll be happy. I don't think they can completely salvage Nohr and IK, but if they can fix it to the point where I'm not facepalming myself throughout the game I'll be satisfied. And really what's with all the "I picked the wrong side" dialogue. It's okay to doubt yourself but damn, I picked Nohr for a reason.

[spoiler=barely spoilers but I should still mark it anyway]
I'm really glad they're non-canon, because I didn't like them a lot in Awakening. That seems almost dumber than time travel though?
Yeah kinda, they could've done better. But it would've been lame if they did the same thing twice in a row so it doesn't bother me too much.

My only gripe with dual destinies (well besides that the writing wasn't as good as the trilogy) was that I could tell who the culprit was pretty much as soon as I saw them. The only exception being the final case. It wasn't bad though. Knowing that the writer from dual destinies worked on the 3rd path tells me that the story should be decent and enjoyable at the very least.

And I think it's actually quite nice to have the translated patch, given that some people who already own a Japanese copy of the game don't want to wait for a localized version. I've also heard people discussing that having the fan-translated version would be useful, especially if the localized version ends up being censored or if other content is changed/cut.
This pretty much. I might just import the game if the fan translation is done in a timely manner.

Belka is a character I am definitely intrigued by. I haven't looked into her supports or anything too much, but I would say I am a fan. (The references to Metal Gear I see floating around with her certainly doesn't do anything to hurt her case either)
I haven't decided who I am going to use on my first playthrough yet, but Belka is very high on the list; she's pretty much guaranteed a spot on my team. -
I want to see a Advance Wars style Fire Emblem game.

CO SUPER POWER: SHIPPING LORD

All characters on the field are now S-ranked with the avatar.
I don't think this would actually work, but I always liked the idea of a game large and small scale battles. Like how in Advance wars your units represent a small group of soldiers (1 soldier unit = 10 soldiers). You would fight large scale battles like advance wars, but once you got into a fight instead of having 10 soldiers duke it out, you would have 10 playable characters and the fight would play be another, smaller battle, like you would fight in a fire emblem game. It would be difficult to implement well but I really like the idea anyway.

Doesn't he fall off of a bridge or something?
Yes, but he returns later on in Nohr. I don't really know the details beyond that.

This is pretty cool! Hello new Avatar.
-
You have a japanese 3ds right?
Ghostlander beat me to it, but I'll emphasize this anyway. You won't be able to play without a japanese 3DS. (There may be a way to hack other 3DS's to play the game, but I haven't been following the 3DS hacking scene)

I think children were handled relatively well all things considered. Geneology did it better but I don't think a time skip works with Fates story. The children are completely optional as well, which is a bonus. I think this is one of the better ways they could've added children.

Oh, I'm not saying it's the Robin from that DLC, but that Inigo/Severa/Owain that are FE14 could be from a new timeline, where there was no despair at all.
Yeah, I can't deny that. Damn you parallel universes and time travel! Throw all my logic out the window will ya!?!
-
I heard there are certain map conditions that have to be met if you don't want have some of your characters die in the plot. Is that true?
I would like to know this as well, I really want this to actually be a thing!
-
The thing is, Inigo Severa and Owain do not recognize the Robin amiibo (They have special lines of dialogues), they speak of him as if he was old memory and couldn't be here, so I'm not too sure they are from FE13 but rather from an alternate timeline like the Future of Despair's
Ah I did forget about that little detail.
Anyway, even if it is the Robin from Future of Despair my point should still (hopefully?) stand. If I recall correctly Robin gains his senses temporarily in the 3rd chapter of Future of Despair, which means he still wasn't "dead" per se, and the Awakening characters were the same age as they were in the normal Awakening chapters, so my point still stands.
Of course, this doesn't mean that Kamui couldn't be Robin reincarnated, but if this is the case IS is going to have a very hard time making me buy it. (Not the game, but the fact that Kamui is Robin. I'm already sold on the game haha)
-
I'm not really buying that Kamui is the reincarnation of Robin... here's why:
If Kamui is an incarnation of Robin, then Robin must be dead. Not only must Robin be dead, but Robin must've been dead for about 15-20 years, as that is around Kamui's age. Then we have Luna (and the other awakening characters), who are around the same age as Kamui. See what I am getting at? Robin couldn't have possibly have been dead for 15-20 years at this point, the awakening characters only look slightly older than they do during the events in awakening. Unless Robin's soul is living in two different places at the same time or IS pulls even more time travel shenanigans it isn't possible. I mean, it is a game so anythings possible, but if Kamui is the reincarnation of Robin IS is really stretching it.
I'm going to guess that Not!Tharja's reincarnation comment isn't meant to be taken seriously. I think she said it in such a way that you would to a lover without meaning it; like, "Even if death separates us, I will find you again one day." or something else like that. -
Looks to be pretty interesting so far. I think I will be enjoying this 3rd route. (It's good that all the chapter descriptions are so vague because I don't want to spoil myself too hard)

What the hell!? The thread said "Zero Discussion" so why is there is discussion here!?
I imagine Zero will be a "cool" collected character, who is trustworthy to his allies, but brutal to his enemies. I could see him having a dry sense of humor; I don't expect him to be anything close to Henry. -
I used to believe this same theory, but ever since we've seen Not!Tharja I'm convinced that the characters are simply based off the old awakening characters, and are in no way related to their awakening counterparts.

That odd quote about the "outer world" or "other world" heavily suggests that there's some kind of alternate dimension stuff going on with them. It's certainly not a timeskip though, considering how not only the avatar (who could be excused due to very strong dragon blood), but also that young mage aren't any older while standing alongside their children.
This is what I was going to say. We've seen some weird floating islands and underwater portals(?) and what-not in the trailer. The children mentioning the "outer world" in addition to this weirdness makes me think we are getting an alternate dimension of some sort.
At this point alternate universes make more sense.
That's a sentence I never thought I'd say.
Right!? I was hoping we could keep alternate dimension weirdness out of Fates, but at least it's not time travel... (I think?) As I have mentioned before, I don't like time travel used as a plot device unless it is used very carefully (so many plot holes in awakening because of time travel...)

I didn't notice it yesterday, but in IGN's video of chapter 2 Kamui has basically the same stats as Gunter. At level 2. So it's safe to say that Kamui is going to break this game.
I'm pretty sure they boosted his stats for the video. If I'm wrong though... holy shet.

Stream isn't even over yet but I have 2 things to note:
1. Could the player please attack with someone other than Corrin or Felicia (Please?)
2. I don't know if this has been confirmed or not elsewhere, but now reinforcements do not attack on the same turn they arrive (thank god!) -
Ah thank you. I can never find out when they are streaming ahead of time, the website does a poor job of letting you know what is being played when.
-
Not sure if marriage is still a spoiler, but I might rename the topic to "[spoilers] Who will you pair you Avatar with" or something like that. (I know my replacement name isn't great either)
As of right now I have 3 contenders, Felicia, Luna, and Pieri. I'll have to play the game to narrow it down farther than that. -
I actually, really, really, like the name Corrin as the default. It makes sense too; (to me at least!) Kamui and Corrin, while they don't start with the same letter, they do start with the same sound, just like Robin's default Japanese name started with an R too. Plus Corrin is gender neutral. I'm not saying it is the default, I just think it would work.
Sure, coming from someone named "Coriane" >.>...
I jest though, I myself don't particularly care one way or the other when it comes to the Corrin's name. Corrin works for me.
Corrin amiibo in Fates?

Probably just give you an item I imagine. I can't really see it doing anything special since the game already released in Japan.
