  1. Been lurking for a while. I love this romhack. Galagar warps in a set pattern, so you can just make sure you are outside his range when you know he'll warp to a certain place. Of course, that doesn't help on a blind run, where not knowing his warp sequence is part of being blind.
  2. Is there any place where all the evil quizzes are archived together? I got eight answers right: 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 19. For number 17, I completely forgot about forging, and guessed that situation with the Parthia, forgetting that though it would add up to 92, enemies have more than 2 defense. Congratulations to the winners.
  3. I just finished the Lagdau Ruins. Quite interesting. It took me about a week, of one or two floors a day. Now I have every character except Selena, who I killed, not remembering she was recruitable. Anyway, the ruins were most difficult at the middle. But after that, they got much easier. Floors eight and nine were particularly easy. How? Lots of choke points, so I just summoned dolls to get the enemies to close in, then killed them with a sniper followed up by a sage. Sophia went to super pupil, then class-changed to sage. Everything was then at 31 except defense, which was at 27. Her ability to take out Mogalls with Ivaldi was great. Of course, both lords with sacred weapons were useful too. Two dancers who can summon kept distractions up for the monsters, and the occasional healing. And three dragons with super-stones made it so I never had to use up a weapon; just use dragonstones and sacred weapons. Staves were the only things I used that took up uses. The tenth floor was fascinating. Nine zombie-dragons, one Demon King, and one summoner. Every third turn, four to six random monsters are generated, so long as the summoner stays alive. However, the demon king drops the Sword of Seals from FE6, which is S-ranked, 18 might, CAN DOUBLE!!!!!! and you know the rest, or can look up the stats thereof. And it does have a bonus versus monsters. The zombie-dragons each dropped something very nice. Two metis tomes, two gold gems, (60,000 worth to sell each,) Naglfar, an un-promotion item, a re-promotion item, and another thing or two. After doing that, I did chapter 20. Not too hard, actually. All the assassins spawn from the lower half. If a unit with 31 defense is put at the single choke point between the halves of the screen, nothing from the bottom can ever reach the top. Bane cannot kill, and normal attacks cannot do even one damage. Thus, my dragon was stuck with one HP, but never going down from there. The top half was relatively simple. Lyn, with stats of 31 all around, was able to charge up the middle with the Sword of Seals, criticalling Zephiel, and allowing Myrrh to rush in and kill Morva. The rest is history. Final chapter part one looks interesting, but I have yet to actually do it. For clarification though, are the weapons on the enemies the same as the weapons in FE7? I noticed that they are not just ,ore sacred twins. Overall, I am quite impressed with the hack. However, because I cannot read kanji, I cannot say whether the story is much different. And for me, story is a big part of a Fire Emblem. So I probably will not play this again, but it was fun for a fling.
  4. ^I was wondering about that too, but I just went ahead and killed her to get along with the story. I did not want to bother waiting forever to get a reply. Overall, I am finding this hack enjoyable. I can read some Japanese, and I am familiar with Fire Emblem as a series, though I have not played FE5. Currently I am up to chapter 17. Some things are too easy. I can use any weapons I want, and then just repair them with free Hammernes from dolls. Yeah, it takes about 20 tries to get one hammerne, but it's totally worth it. How do I steal? I thought thiefmage and thiefsage would be able to, but that does not seem to be the answer. Because I could not figure this out, I had to forgo two stat-boosters, three jewels, and the silver card. Oh yeah, and dancers are incredibly useful now. And you get two of them. And they have insane evade. Excellent hack. Far better than any I have come across for any of the FEs so far, though I look forward to FE4 GBA.
  5. Having gotten interested in hacking ever since I found out about the nightmare editor a while back, I found through trial and error that stat caps cannot realistically be put at more than 31, or 11111 in binary. A couple of exceptions exist, such as the Demon King's (FE8) caps of 50. But that is for only one chapter, and does not carry over in saves. Nothing more than 31 can be saved and reloaded without it looping, in the GBA FEs. Is there any way around this, other than telling people to use save states? Obviously FE9 and FE10 have higher stat caps, but I cannot figure out how to get higher stats in FE6-9. The problem is greater in the SNES FEs. FE3 has a flat 20 cap, and I cannot figure out how to change that. FE4 seems to have caps hardwired in to the classes, and I have not been able to change anything there, though abuse of stat-boosting conversations blows the caps with no difficulty. But even trying to change the starting stats led to "looping" of stats and more problems. So is there a way to change the caps? Or am I stuck with what is there for the playable characters? Thanks in advance.
