Combine all the threads for one giant ball of disappointment and negativity. Theres like 5 different threads by now.

Its uh, some Stockholm syndrome going on I think. They were both pretty young when they got kidnapped. Kamui has always thought of Garon as their dad and despite him being cruel, their 'siblings' have been kind to them, treating them like their own despite that and it gives them a reason to decide to pick Nohr, solely for their loved ones. From what I've seen on youtube, they are surprised to hear that they are from Hoshido originally as well. Aqua was raised differently, but no less manipulated. Due to their treatment of her, while kind it was more subtle. They treated her fairly from what I could tell and she actually ended up liking Hoshido because of it. However, it doesn't excuse the fact she was still kidnapped from her original family, nor does it excuse kidnapping Kamui from theirs. Both are jerks, Nohr is just more obvious about it, and both sides will more or less try to 'deal' with you (apparently if you side with Nohr, Hoshido cracks down on anyone with ties to that kingdom and Garon.. well, his favorite pasttime trying to kill Kamui.) despite raising the two characters as their own anyways. Ultimately, they are pawns of both kingdoms. So, screw both Nohr and Hoshido and do the IK route. : ]

On a side note, it just shows you how both nations aren't too different in the end. They both kidnapped a royal child and they both brainwashed them into their way of thinking. Granted they really went for the obvious "Nohr is evil, Hoshido is super good" anyways.

Lets see here.. Gunther and Jakob, for shared units. Gunther is a pretty cool father figure for Kamui and Jakob is an asshole, but in a funny way. Marx because I think he is the best sibling out of all of them in general in my opinion. Arthur, Flannel, Charlotte, Belka, Elise, Leon, Camilla, Luna, Lazwald and Odin for Nohr-side. Ryouma, Hinoka, Takumi, Sakura, Saizou, Oboro and Nishiki for Hoshido. I prefer the Nohr characters over the Hoshidan ones though!

More fun to complain than to discuss good things about the game I suppose! -Rinkah seems kind of.. lame. I mean, I thought she might be a better unit but she just seems disappointing. -Hoshido Bias. I thought they intended to go for a "don't judge people by only their looks" thing, but they ended up making Hoshido less interesting by making them seem 'pure' while Nohr languishes from it. -Children. I don't mind marriages, or even Children but things feel kind of rushed. Why not marry at the end of the game and have a child mentioned in the epilogue? In Awakening, they at least had some point to them. Here, they do not. Also Soleil. Poorly written. -Skinship. Again, this I don't care about. It seems kind of random and out of place though. -Fanservice at the cost of story. They had a really good idea on their hands with the Bloodline v Loyalty thing, but it came up short. Hopefully if they make another game, they'll decide to not do that again. -The Drama. A lot of people have legitimate issues but I refer to those that decide that the game is the spawn of satan and must be purged and killed off because nitpicky things like fanservice or a section of a support convo or Phoenix mode. This killed a lot of my hype for the game, but I'll still buy it because I like Fire Emblem. -Soleil. Soleil. Soeil. Soleil. -Weak Nohr story. Could've been better, it had so much potential but it got gutted. Overall, I think the fanbase has become hopelessly cynical. As for Fates, my impression is "Not what I hoped for but I'll see how the localization turns out. It still sounds alright, despite complaints."

Perhaps we'll find out when DLCs and info starts rolling in. And y'know, weirder things have happened. Spawn of Yog-sothoth. As said before, things like this happen in mythology all the time. Does it make sense all the time? No. Is it cool? Hit or miss.

I hope femavatar has a good voice actor. No hint of it at all though. Very mysterious that they wouldn't show it at all..

The third path is the golden ending, but to say the other two paths are useless is foolish. Sure maybe the endings aren't as great and not everything is peaceful in the other one, but don't write them off completely, they still have content and a twist, if Kamui decided to choose to side with one of his families against the other. A what if. What if you sided with Nohr? What if you sided with Hoshido? What if you sided with neither? All three paths turn out differently, have their stories and gameplay. Even if the third path is canon, wouldn't you want to see how the other paths play out, giving you a different angle to view how things could have been different? Its three stories. Going "Oh this one is canon, screw the other ones because they don't matter in the end!" is your choice, but you're depriving yourself of the other stories to read into solely because of that fact, in which case I don't quite understand. Granted, you might feel this way if you actually played all the paths but it just shows that you explored every outcome of your big choice. No one is forcing the golden ending on you, nor are they forcing the other two. -You- pick what you want to do. (Unless you just have one version but even then you're still making a choice because it was the one you bought)

Gotta stop you there. How is it far worse? No path is technically 'incorrect'. You side with who you wanna side with or you ignore both sides and do your own thing because you like both families equally. Every path leads to many changes, gameplay wise and story wise. Which is more than Awakening did since it was always just one straight path with no changes at all.

Marth kind of gets a pass to speak japanese in my book because thats effectively the only way I've heard him speak. Though Yuri Lowenthal is a good VA too, but I haven't heard him as Marth. Also regarding Ike, he better have two critical quotes be: "You'll get no sympathy from me." "Prepare yourself." "I fight for my friends."

Huh. An orphanage run by a sadist that looks pretty cool and someone that can shapeshift into a dragon/pokemon. Interesting.

Elise sounds older than she does in the japanese version, I can only assume they are going to do the Lissa/Nowi treatment and make her a young adult or a teen. Might also be the case for Sakura and a couple of other characters. So far I like the voice acting but I reaaaally wanna know who is voicing who! Sadly, I only can call out a few voice actors since I'm not familiar with all their names.

"My name is Xander. AND I AM A SUPER SAIYAN!" First thing that popped into my head was that when you mentioned Sean Schemmel. Or you know, Xander powering up for five minutes while screaming at the top of his lungs.

Oh boy, if that is the case I hope Takumi isn't as hard of a boss as Young Xehanort. Listening to some of Travis Willingham's voice acting also has me convinced he is voicing Garon now too though. I'm still thinking Xander is Cam Clarke, but eh. I'm just being hopeful about it.

His voice is nice though, whoever it is and that's what matters. At least to me. Better than "I WON'T SURRENDER" which seems kind of..meh.

Leo might be voiced by Robin from the last game, at least thats what I've heard people say.

Invisible Kingdom is kind of a weird name I thought so I want to guess it'll end up just Touma or "Spirit Kingdom" or something.

Her singing is fine if you ask me. The voice seems to fit Azura.

You never know, they brought in some good VA's the last time around, I don't see why they couldn't get Cam Clarke. Ryoma could be Kyle Hebert, he sounds a bit like Ryu from the Smash Bros trailer but that might just be me.

Well, time to name Corrin into Jaime.

I wouldn't mind seeing returning VA's, as long as they don't keep the exact same voice lol. We're drifting a little off topic though - anyone else think Xander could be voiced by Cam Clarke? Or is it just us few?

Matthew Mercer seems more likely but you never know. I give him the edge because he already voiced Chrom before.

Takumi and Ryoma sound familiar too but I can't place it anywhere. At least most of the voice acting for english dub is nice so far. And Cam Clarke is an awesome VA. Edit for post above: I HAVE THE POWER!!
