Do you ever wish that you lived in a world of fantasy to escape reality, knowing fully well that there would be obstacles in that world as well?

Everyday. Anything to escape the idea that's been forced upon me since birth - that the only way I can lead a happy, fulfilling life is to go to college for something that will make me a lot of money and then get a job and work until I either die or have saved up enough money to live on once I retire. All I want to do is travel the world and read/write stories and make art and maybe go on a fantastical adventure (preferably with dragons and magic and elves). :p

Why am I not getting notifications for these?
I guess it's escapism taken to the extreme; I'm already too used to and scared of the stress that my life has. What I would give for the ability to fully experience another life completely different from my own, and to then use that experience to make my own life easier.
The experience of having to learn to help out in the fields and grow food, year after year, would be much different than trying to learn how to drive with colleg...
