Another new sprite of mine^^ it doesn't feature a character from this patch, and "Seymour" is an untypical Lord^^ P.S.: I'm nearly finished with the german version of Kevin's route. I've already written half of the epilogue^^ and two chapters of "Strategist's Patch", anybody is welcomed to send me the scripts of the chapters of FE7, clean scripts please^^

The only time I really gave up was at Hector Hardmode, Chapter 15 or 16 (whenever you fight in the castle of Laus)

He got a point there^^ Kevin is just a normal mercenary, so why should he be able to buy "decorative" clothes? I just realized that the fall of his cloth somehow seemed...unnatural, so I added a button, though I'm not sure if it fits o.o Oh yeah, this is something I've made in half an hour for the fesos.de-x-mas-contest, it may not be extra-ordinary, but I think you can see the character Athos wants to cosplay^^ XD The shadow maybe doesn't seem right in some places, but I'm not good with self-placed shadows ._.

Oh well, I think I'll start the answering here: First, Kevin was, is and will always be a myrmidon, I just try out new outfits. I abandoned the second sprite because Kevin looked too small and I think his outfit didn't fit anymore. Maybe the new outfit looks a bit "empty", but it was also pretty hard to sprite and I'm still thinking of some "decorations". Maybe the first Andrew looks good, but basically it's just Matthew's face and older Eliwoods hair without any editing o.o There's absolutely no change in color. Also, I tried to make the archer strap pad a mercenary's and it was intentional, to somehow... show, that he's just a poor mercenary, who doesn't have the money to buy the same strap pad twice. Concerning Lucifer and Dave: Yeah, they have Valter's and Dave's faces o.o Earlier, I didn't change the face of the sprites at all o.o But I bet, nobody can see through the parts of the new Lucifer (except of Amelia, but I had to tell her which parts there are o.o).^^ Also, I didn't fix any of the mugs in the first post o.o Guess it's just your imagination, Nade.

I tried Advance Wars once because it was from IS too, but I was really disappointed. I missed the invdividual characters and classes you had in FE, in AW it's just "the more the messier". It's no fun seeing tanks and planes fighting each other...

Yeah... but I don't think so o.o Well, I've redone Andrew and Dana a bit. I gave Andrew a new body (and 5 new hair colors o.o) and gave Dana a new body color o.o Which hair color do you like best?

@Roxas: I wanted to play it (especially after I first read the manga), but sadly I couldn't find it in any shop... @Sedgar: Both are great games. I played both and think they have their individual charme.^^

Okay, okay, another remake of mine o.o I'm threatening the universe again XD My very first sprite of Kevin was made at nearly the same time as Alexander, but it was...a failure. Full-Custom hair, edited body... well, you can see him here: The second version was made soon after the first one, because... well, you heard he was a failure.: I sprited this one about one year ago. Yahooo^^ I've been playing .hack//Infection to Quarantine (sadly my savegame was deleted before I got the chance to play it through Q.Q), and I've read every one of the mangas... I hope this one comes to Europe (unlike the G.U.-series u.u) too, I would totally like to play it >.<

@Cake: I'll take care of Rohan later o.o for now, I'll use the moment for a reminiscence o.o You know, Alex (or rather Alexander back then) was one of my first sprites when I started to sprite one and a half years ago. Looking back, this is now my 3rd/4th version of him, and I thought it would be interesting to show you how his appearance changed while my spriting skills got better^^ Very first version/Alexander: 1st (and 2nd) remake, about one year ago (means 6 months after I started to sprite): Today, I've created two "versions" at once, yet I can't decide which one looks better and shall be seen in my hack. What do you guys think? Just to remind those of you who didn't know or forgot, he's an Axeknight^^ (using an editet version of Hector's battlesprite)

Oh well, I had the idea to this sprite a while ago, and yesterday I began to work on it. Maybe it won't be considered as a master piece of art, but I don't think that this is necessary^^ Oh yeah, in the end I thought the sprite resembled a member of the Organization XIII o.o P.S.: He may look a little bit like a druid, but is actually a swordmaster. He just wears a coat to hide his face.

Well, as I mentioned before, I am currently respriting some of the characters, the first victim is Lucifer's druid-form: Crazy smiles are easier than I thought o.o And I think he looks now even madder (grammatically right?) than the old sprite o.o maybe I will also change his Pyromancer-sprite (I think "Sorcerer" sounds better, guess I'll "change" his class). Oh yeah, when I gathered the "pieces" of Lucifer and had them put all together and "cleaned" everything up, I was somehow...fascinated by his face, by his look...I spent the last three days praying to him...XD Joke aside, I'm really fascinated by this sprite o.o The new Lucifer looks cooler than I imagined him to be when he's normal o.o @Nadesico: You're not completely right: most of the sprites are mixed up in the date they were created o.o Although the 8 Heroes and the ones completely at the bottom are newer than most of the sprites above. Oh yeah, I've done Carolyn's messy hair on purpose o.o It was something of a little experiment. @Allan: You've wrote too much critics, so I'll just answer the most "important" ones (this is afterwards: guess somehow most of them were important^^")^^" And because I don't know how to hide things, I'll write it unhidden^^": Alex: I'm currently thinking of a good new look for him, and I think his hairstyle will change after that^^ Azrael: Hmm, I'm not sure if his head really is off o.o Also, the crazy look in his eyes is intentional^^ Altair: I'll resprite him soon, so he won't have any brain-ache anymore because of his hair^^ Dana: She will also undergo a bit of stylechange, the shade-problem will be gone by then^^ Dave: I think he looks completely normal o.o Dream: I shaded it, but since most of the front-hair isn't under the hood, the shadow is not really dark o.o Howard: I don't agree in this point o.o Kevin: I don't think his hair digs into his brain o.o also, he is shaded. But the hair color is pretty close to some of the shadow-colors o.o (maybe you just have to save it and then zoom in to see it o.o) Laurence: same as Howard. Michael: same as Alex, although I don't think his hair style will change o.o Raphael: he's pretty weak, and can't fight at all. It makes sense that Vanitas' sword looks like Rikus keyblades. After all, he looks exactly like Riku when he was Ansem's servant (and Vanitas' master looks like heartless-Ansem), so why shouldn't his blade resemble them? The keyblades of Terra and co. (at least in the first secret ending) are also looking like the "original" keyblades of sora, riku und mickey. How should I put my opinion... Okay, like this: The keyblades used by the "new" wielders show which "spirit" they inherited of the past wielders.

@Ben: For example, how Roxas behaved when he was with the Organization, where he got his second Keyblade from, his relationship with Axel, etc.

Damn, I can't wait for BbS^^" Also I am curious about this other new KH that was mentioned a while ago <.< I already played through 356/2 Days, and it gave me a few answers (even to questions I didn't ask^^"), and I think Xion's story is truly sad... yet I'm more interested about the former relationship of Axel and Saix. (I think his name was the japanese name "Sai", would make sense to me) The current release Date of BbS is Januray '10, right? I hope time flies by^^"

Don't know if you guys still need it, but I've written down the whole conversation between Yahn and Roy, when he talks about how the Dark Dragon was created and about the Scouring and Hartmut, etc.^^

I think this is something that will make you happy to hear it: I've talked to Uphir, and for now I will only make an english patch^^ I translated only the prologue so far, but I will translate the other chapters too, asap^^ That means, you will get to play it sooner than thought^^ (and because of Uphir I finally don't lack a hacker anymore^^" thanks again, Uphir.)

Hmm, I have some sprites to show ya guys again^^ Two sprites, to be exact. The first one is a modified version of Exion. I tried to play with his outfit a bit (before his torso was naked, he doesn't like shirts and this stuff o.o), so I gave him a coat. I'm not sure whether this will be his sprite in the patch, or if it will become an "older" version of him (since he's a mamkute, it's no wonder he doesn't look older). The second one is a sprite that I should have sprited a while ago, but until today I always forgot^^" It's Tracohnis, the king of Mymîr, and his face was a bit of a challenge. Why, you ask? Well, he has to look good and evil at the same time, so the choice of his face was hard to make. I think he turned out well in the end^^

Aaaall right, very encouraging ._. In the last week I managed not only to sprite Hanon, but also the last of the Eight Heroes, Hartmut^^ First, Hanon: Like Barigan, she was a bit tough to sprite, since you can only see her shadow o.o I think I sprited her like I imagined her.^^ Hasha no Tsurugi: young sprite: So much for her^^" Even though Hartmut's face was clearly shown, he was even harder to sprite than Barigan, or Hanon <.< I think in the end I pictured him very well as a young man, his clothes were somehow the hardest part of the whole sprite^^" Nothing seemed to fit the image I had of him, but this was "the most acceptable" clothing. H.n.T.: young sprite: With this, my collection of the heroes is completed (the first 4 sprites are in the first post)^^ But I'm not satisfied with the look of young Athos, so I think I'll resprite him in the next time soon. o.o Would be nice to get a comment this time^^" Edit: no, Hartmut has no stray pixels in his hair, they are all part of the jewelry he wears (though it's not recognizable, it's the one that Lyon wears)^^

I must say, I'm impressed o.o I'm looking forward playing your hack, and as sasuun did I also offer my spriting skills to you (I've read what you said to him about that), even though I'm faraway of MKs skills. As the description says, this is my main patch on which I've spent most of my days the last year (writing the story during school - nearly done with Kevin's route -; spriting at home; looking for someone skillfull in hacking...all the time <.<). This hack features a completely self-made story, self-made characters and all the effort I could spend. (At first, I wanted this patch to be a FE7-hack, but I switched to FE8 pretty early.) story: It is the year 1203 of the Gainaian calendar.The whole continent of Gaina is in a turmoil: Malur attacked it's litte neighbor Thèalen and subjugated it. Ignoring this horrible fact, the other countries Rahzion, Mymîr and Forllorin (this country isolated itself from the outside world a few centuries ago) didn't take up any actions. Only the prince of Malur itself, Siegfried, dares to confront his father, and so he flees from his homeland together with his loyal knight Aaron to ask the other countries for help against his father. Soon after he starts his journey, he encounters the small mercenary group "Kevin's mercenaries", with whom he forms the beginning of his rebellion army. Clearing his path through enemy territory and finding more and more allies, he keeps heading forward to Rahzion so he could save Théalen and stop his father in his madness. But as he advances on his path, Siegfried realizes that the roots of this conflict reach into the depths of nearly forgotten history, and a desaster unfolds, greater than anything before... geographical information: (not final version of the continent) Malur: The biggest country of Gaina, also with the greatest military power. It is ruled by King Rohan, and his son Prince Siegfried is trying his best to stop his father madness. Rahzion: Next in size to Malur, Rahzion is much more of a scientific country. The mages of this kingdom are counted to the best of the continent. King Raphael is currently ruling this country, and his daughter Princess Ariana is said to be at least as wise as her father. Théalen: Théalen is the youngest country of the continent (just 67 years old), and also the smallest one. Bearer of the crown at the moment is King Michael who has inherited the throne not too long ago and is also a good friend of Siegfried. Mymîr: Most of the area of this country is claimed by its mountains, and it is famous for its Wyvern Riders. The king of this land is Tracohnis, and his most famous knight is Sir Nigel who, even though he just bears the title of a wyvern rider, is said to be able to keep up with the best fighters of the other countries. Forllorin: Even though this country isolated itself from the continent hundreds of years ago and has no connection to any of its "neighbors", it is still part of the continent concerning geographic. Nothing is known about this island, neither its form of politic, nor if there is a ruler of it at all. Main Characters: Siegfried: Prince of Malur and founder of the Théalen-liberation-army. He has a kind heart and a strong sense of justice, which is the main reason for standing up against his own father. class: Lord Aaron: Royal knight of Malur, and also a good and loyal friend of Siegfried. He shares a deep friendship with Sir Laurence, who is said to be the greatest knight of Malur, and is a necessary companion of Siegfried on his journey. He was the one who convinced Siegfried to follow his heart and save Théalen. class: Swordmaster Kevin: Commander of the théalenian newby mercenary group "Kevin's mercenaries", which he created together with his two friends Alex and Jennifer, after their hometown Azmodia was destroyed by Malur. He is very friendly, and despiting his youth, very intelligent. He is a big help for Siegfried and becomes one of his most-trusted friends. class: Myrmidon Alex: Vice-Commander of "Kevin's mercenaries", best friend of Kevin and big brother of Jennifer. He is a hot-tempered guy who often quarrels with Kevin (and many others), but would do anything to help his friends. class: Axeknight Jennifer: Little sister of Alex, and secretly in love with Kevin, whom she knows since her childhood. She isn't much of a fighter, but she's the only one to keep up with her brother concerning argueing. class: Troubadour Ariana: Princess of Rahzion, and Siegfried's chosen one. She bears great magical skills, but doesn't really want to use them. class: Sage Michael: The king of Théalen, and one of Siegfried's best friends. His whereabouts are unknown since Malur took over the capital, yet he is thinking of a way to liberate his country all the time. class: General Nigel: A decorated wyvern rider of Mymîr, who possesses great combat skills. He is the right hand of King Tracohnis, and follows his king's orders absolutely. class: Wyvern Rider Raphael: The king of Rahzion, and Ariana's father. Even though he provides an army for Siegfried, he doesn't seem to full trust him. class: -- Rohan: Ruler of Malur, and Siegfried's father. Since the beginning of his reign, he was a kind king, and the sudden change of his politics cannot be explained anyhow... Though it seems to have something to do with the appearance of Lord Arkanya. class: King Arkanya: This man appeared first one and a half years ago, and rose in status during his work for Rohan really quickly. Nothing is really known about his past, and nobody can tell his true intentions. class: Sage Laurence: Greatest knight of Malur, fully-trusted by King Rohan and best friend of Sir Aaron. He has a strong sense of pride, and his sword-skills are unmatched. He and Aaron were the youngest knights in the history of Malur. class: Swordmaster Current progress: Story: Chapter 21 of 21 Kevin's route: finished Siegfried's route: - Supports: - Sprites: Most sprites finished, just some minor (or mayor) changes left. Chapters in german: 21 of 21 (now up to Siegfried's route^^) Chapters in english: 3 (Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2) Own maps: none so far Patch-Version: 0.0 I know I already asked this in my thread "Strategist's patch", but I would totally need somebody with hacking skills to help me (not giving advices in doing so but doing it instead of me, my pc refuses to do properly ROM-hacking <.<). I hope that someone is willing to help me, because I really put all the effort I have in this work, and I'd like to share my patch with others.
