  1. I'd pull numbers out... If I had. I'm only on Chapter 13 of this run so yeah... I don't have any. Not to mention that the enemy stat topic here is missing Chapter 19. I'll get back to you when I get some enemy stats of my own. That ok, Don?
  2. It's not that she can't. It's that she probably won't. If Farina was free (and if pigs could fly as there is ALWAYS someone in Fire Emblem who costs money, the ungrateful bastard...), she'd probably be middle tier for her flying ability. She's not exactly an Est as she's not horribly underleveled and has actual decent bases. The only real problems would be her probably not promoting thanks to Florina or Fiora (both have a major level advantage on their sister) and late joining time (only 10 chapters left in the game). Her cost problems are what really pull her down. But like I said, the purpose of my run is to determine how much exactly is she allowed to slide with that problem. EDIT: What was the enemy stat calculation again? Like to figure out what the enemies stats are.
  3. Oh my first S Rank run in over a year. Still not happening. I'm doing this run plus I have 2 draft runs to get through (I'm stuck on Chapter 13 because Matt likes taking axes to the face when he's in a forest). I'll try to get to that in about a month and a half though... After exams are done.
  4. Just so you guys know, I'm currently doing a HHM run where I'm determining the amount of maximum Funds you can get in this game (including every side chapter) plus getting enemy stats for myself. I want to put this whole Farina/Dart/Thief promotion thing to bed one way or another and find out the exact amount of money that's spendable in this game. Not a round figure but an actual number. I think we can then place Farina, Dart and Legault accordingly on the tier list (assuming that we only use 1 Fell Contract and it's on Legault). Should I put my final data here or make a new topic for it, like the enemy stats? EDIT: Also, I'm going to dispute Lowen > Erk. Here's a couple of choice quotes about that issue. Just so you know, I dug back to early November to get them. ;) Not to mention that if Erk misses out on beating Serra to 20/0 for the first Guiding Ring, he's assured the second one as Prissy won't be at 20/0 by then and Anima > Light when it comes to talking about Lucius.
  5. Ouch, that's harsh... Well, maybe not. Now I get all the "2 years experience" jokes.

  6. Hey Narga,

What's wrong with being like this man? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horio_Yoshiharu

    Rather honerable guy, I think.

  7. Yeah, my sister's like that too...
  8. Name me a JRPG that doesn't have ridiculous hair.
  9. I vote that we ban me too... Wait, what?
  10. Who, Inui? Naw, he's kinda amusing. And that just seems mean, Mori.
  11. Since Inui's wall of... post (I guess) stopped anyone from seeing my last post that had some real content in it, I'm going to quote myself. Can Heath's help to the Exp rank really be better than what Athos brings to the table in Light? EDIT: The real problem with Karel (IMO) isn't the fact that he denies Harken. To me, the real problem comes when we pull Jerme's map instead of Kenneth's (I think Jerme's is the default but I could be wrong). If we want Karel, we have to rush to open up 4 doors by turn 9 while Harken requires just simply plodding along through the snow. Kenneth's map is no problem for either of them. Jerme's is the one that's iffy.[/Quote] Be right back, just grabbing that epic MANLINESS Tier List that was posted a while back. EDIT: Found it.
  12. 1) I can't formal debate as I'm going away for a week starting Monday to visit my best friend. I'm also in university trying to major in Chemistry (any Chem major will tell you how hard this is) so I don't have as much time as I would like to have. 2) Why do you want the Brave Sword? I'm not asking "why do you want the Brave Sword instead of the Wo Dao", I'm just asking in general. The Brave Sword is really only better when you consider it for the Funds Ranking. The Wo Dao is actually better as a used sword because it has more Crit than a Killing Edge, less weight than a KE and is only -1 Mt (which really doesn't matter when you consider that a critical does 3x the regular damage), not to mention the exact same uses as the Killing Edge. Granted, it's only for Guy, Lyn, Karel, Rath and Karla, but Guy will (probably) be in play and Lyn still has a couple of forced chapters, not to mention a possible (not probable) promotion which has her seeing something like 40 Crit without a weapon in her hands (I did the math in a previous debate on GFaqs). PS: Just checked and it's about ~35 Crit. Assuming that we stick the Brave Sword in our storage the minute we get it, that's 3k we've saved. If we were to use the WD instead of a KE, we save 1.3k in actual Funds (using 1 less Killing Edge), making it a 1.7k difference. Now let's say that we use some of the Brave Sword... About 10 uses sounds right. We still have 2k saved from the Funds of the sword but now there's a 700G difference between the two swords. That's basically nothing as only 3 swords cost less than 700G (Iron, Slim and Steel). And that's after only 5 attacks (2 shots per attack before doubling). I'm currently leaning towards the Wo Dao as being the better practical sword. 3) I'm not trying to argue Karel > Harken. I'm not an idiot. I'm just pointing out what I think is wrong with your post. I don't think that Harken is underrated at all.
  13. I ain't a regular here (I might be after all this time, though). But hell, let's debate. You, me, properly. I really don't think it's fair to credit Harken for the Brave Sword or bash Karel for the Wo Dao. If we were doing this, both Louise and Lyn would be getting credit for joining with a White Gem in their pockets. As for Harken, yes he's great and all being RNG proof, but he doesn't bring anything to the table that anyone else can't. Raven almost always gets used (better than Harken) but without even considering Raven's performance, Harken still loses AS from a Hand Axe (I'll give him credit, he loses much less than Raven) and can't properly 1-2 range against sword users (even someone like Geitz has this solved with bows). He's a really solid unit but he's not around long enough and good enough to be considered "irreplacable".
  14. Awesome. Now onto my next two concerns: 1) What's the reasoning behind Dorcas > Geitz? I think that one should be the other way around but I'm not willing to argue it if the evidence behind Dorcas is too strong. 2) Athos > Heath. I've posted before that Athos is basically your Tactics ranking in Light, shaving off almost a turn by himself (sharing the top left room with a Peg Knight and ticking off half of Lloyd/Linus's HP without eating a counter). Heath is subjected to nothing more than Exp unit use because of him being underleveled and just too slow. Also, here's a little blurb that I've previously said about Athos. Jerme's is the one that's iffy.
  15. Naw, bet he hasn't. Seriously, I'm getting back on topic. Jaffar and Karel (or Karel at the very least) shouldn't be sticking their noses too far out of the low tier. Jaffar does have Silencer but he can only abuse the Exp gain for 7 levels. Karel denies you of Harken and the Brave Sword and is far and away the worst mono-sword man we have here (that's unpromoted class is mono-sword, promoted is sword + something) as Lyn, Jaffar, Eli, Guy, Raven and Harken are by far better than him at combat (well, Jaffar's close to him but still better) when using proper level comparisons. Matthew and Legault are special cases because of their thieving utility. I'm thinking Vaida down into Low with the list looking like Jaffar > Vaida > Karel as Vaida's pure strength and durability makes up for the fact that she can't double like Karel (or Jaffar) because Karel doesn't have Silencer for an added Exp boost.
  16. Oh. My. God. If Hypo's ass isn't bleeding after that massive RAEP RAEP RAEP post, I don't know what to think.
  17. I saw some good ole' RAPE RAPE RAPE of Inui today by Colonel.

  18. Colonel, you are my hero. Really. Someone needs to teach this kid a lesson in humility.

  19. The one thing that I'm going to bother replying to. Kent and Lyn can easily stand beside each other in 16 quite a bit. Why? Because there are something like 50 forests blocking Kent's movement. Look at the math and the map. Lyn has 5 move and forests have a 2 cost for her. She gets sliced down to 2 move. Kent has 7 move and forests have a 3 costs for the Knight group (Knights A: Cavalier, Troubadour. Knights B: Knight Lord, Paladin, Valkyrie.). That also gives him 2 move. Oh look, Lyn and Kent can stand beside each other! Same thing happens in the bottom part of 19. As for 18, Kent can't utilize his movement because he literally has nowhere to go. Look at the map and tell me how he's going to fly over enemies on the planks. If Lyn gets fielded there (she needs to be level 15 by FFO so I don't see many reasons why she shouldn't be), there's a good chance that she and Kent get another 3 turns towards their support.
  20. You do that. And tell us what verdict you come back with, O great one... Quick question about Lyn's durability. LHM is S Ranked, correct? That means that we can use only one of the 3 big cost items we get (Angelic Robe, Knight Crest, Energy Ring). What's stopping us from slapping an Angelic Robe onto Lyn during LHM? Think of her as starting with 7+ HP so her defense at level 9/0 is 28.6 HP, 3.6 Def, 2.4 Res and 34 Avo. Anyone ever considered doing that? I'm not going to argue vehemently for it, I'm just asking a question. And if we consider that happening, would Lyn rise on the tier list (maybe like a spot) because of the added HP? It's basically free as the cost of using the Angelic Robe doesn't affect HHM in any way but Lyn's added durability has a positive effect (can possibly take another hit).
  21. Villages must be visited by drafted characters if visited at all. Shopping I'm undecided on, to tell the truth. I'm thinking it's OK because just because Lowen (if he's undrafted) buys something from the armoury, it doesn't mean that Hector can't buy the same thing. Villages are one time things. Trading stuff is also allowed as long as that unit doesn't enter combat with a weapon designed to attack another unit. You know what I mean.
  22. Can't wait for the shit storm over this one... Jaffar > Vaida. I'm quoting Mikey from back home here.
  23. Now that I think about it, Kinship's Bond isn't the biggest of maps. Eubans is in the bottom right hand corner and there's a ton of walls near him, not to mention forests.
