Well, I used Geese in my first FE6 playthrough, simply because I thought he looked badass. By the end he was one of my best dragon slayers and the wielder of the Armads. It wasn't until later that I found out he's considered terrible.

DAMMIT, SATORI. I can't see any reason to dislike the games beyond 12.3. I like TD.

Nah, I'll give SA a shot. I've already beaten PCB and IN, at least, but I haven't beaten SA.

She's not cruel, she's just extremely racist. She picks on youkai for no good reason, but it's canon that she often acts friendly to them afterwards. The conversation with Orange in LLS though... Oh man, it is a thing.

The one where she's a grouchy b---- and Gensokyo fun police, basically. Pretty much every official profile she has states something along the lines of her being easygoing. Reimu being lazy is canon though. XD

That's just what happens when you don't look at fanworks enough. ZUN doesn't really develop his characters much in the actual games, especially the ones that are not recurring. It's in the print works and various fan works that they're actually developed. That's how the Touhou fanbase has always worked. Granted, some of the generally accepted fan portrayals annoy me, like Reimu's.

I must say, for a thread entitled Official Touhou Chat Thread, there sure is a lot of Touhou hate going on!

I play sometimes too. Not that I'm very good though. Can't 1CC anything. The best I've done is just clearing some of the games on Normal, of which the hardest was probably EoSD.

But for now, what you're looking for is EDIT: As for removing all the displays, I didn't put an option to do that, sadly, but if you want I can render each map for you myself, and send them to you as soon as you've reached the corresponding chapters.

I don't know, to be honest, I've never tried running it on a mac. Wine? WineBottler? I think you'd need DirectX, though, so unfortunately probably not.

There's actually only one bonus chapter unlocked by the good ending, so it would be 19 in total. But actually, to be honest, I don't think a screenshot LP of this game would be all that entertaining, since all the chapters look a bit samey. (They aren't samey, but they look samey.) Well, unless you did something extra creative, like this guy. But then, I dunno. Maybe it would be entertaining.

Man, I thought I'd never see the day! XD Great job on beating the game! I'm extremely impressed and also flattered that someone would not only beat my game, but also take the trouble to unlock the 'good ending'! As of now, for his/her achievements, QwirkyQwilfish holds the official title of Manliest Tactician! (Actual gender notwithstanding.) Will someone else from Serenes Forest take up the challenge and document this game either in a video or a screenshot LP to become the new Manliest Tactician? Only time will tell! (No really, the game is hard and designed so that only pro tactics will save you. This is completely justified. I swear.) As for your balancing questions - soldiers and armors make quite decent earlygame units so long as you don't neglect them, especially if you make good use of hills. The abundance of soldiers and butchers on the enemy team in the earlier chapters helps that a lot. I agree that they lose their shine somewhat in the later chapters, but they still have their situational uses. As for butchers, they are probably the single most powerful unit to deploy against enemy knights and armors, and healers and archers too. Again, as long as you use terrain wisely.
