  1. Agreed that Aqua feels a bit too in my face. Maybe it'll be better in the actual game but eh..as long as I don't have to use her every map or she is the only s-support for Kamui I can tolerate her.

There is some speculation that Mikoto might die in the purple explosion and considering that Aqua's strange powers are purple..There might be a very good reason for Kamui to attack Aqua

  2. Honestly they couldn't have made Garon look (and sound) more like an evil child predator if they tried.

Other than that the voices were okay to me. It's just strange after getting used to their japanese voices. (maybe they'll include the jp voice options like in awakening)

The transformation scene gave me flashbacks to Dragon Ball. Maybe Kamui gets access to Kamehameha.

  3. Yea you have a point, it's not easy to trust Kamui on Hoshido side, but we already have informations that Takumi easly distrust people, se he may be a more antisocial character, that prefere to work alone.

Yes, but that kind of personality could easily form in the situation I described above. Cynicism and difficulty to trust others could definitly arise in someone who feels like they always have to prove themselves.

So his attitude towards Kamui is a mixture of his 'natural' distrust and hidden resentment for this unknown sibling who worms their way back into the family while seeming way to fond of his Nohrian kidnappers.

  4. My reasoning for Takumi to be so distrustful of Kamui is that he never really knew him before.

I mean Kamui doesn't remember being Hoshidan royalty, so it's reasonable to assume that he was very very young (I am guessing 4). Now Takumi is even younger, so he doesn't really know anything beyond the fact that you are related by blood. Hinoka's profile states how deeply the kidnapping affected her, and I am pretty sure that Ryouma was too.

Now, here he is growing up in a family still grieving for the loss of an elder sibling who he doesn't remember. Having to work hard to achieve anything in his life, he might feel largely inadequate compared to his stronger siblings.

As the next younger sibling after Kamui he also may have thought it his responsibilty to make up for the loss.

Then his sibling returns..from a hostile enemy country where they have lived comfortably and with great adoptive siblings who consider them their own.

Would you trust them? Would you like them at first?

And his distrust isn't really unwarrented, considering Kamui CAN side with Nohr.

Anyway this is just my speculation on what his beef is. Let's see if I am right.

  5. Honestly the kids in Awakening were little more than sentient buzzsaws anyway. The Future Past DLC was the closest thing to character developement we got for them.

So, while I am pretty sure they won't be playing a big role in the main story, I hope this is a chance for them to be a bit more fleshed out as characters.

I didn't mind any of them, Inigo and Owain were among my Top 10 characters for Awakening so I am hopeful.

Would I have preferred original characters? Probably, but I honestly don't see any reason to start screaming about it.

  6. I am definately intrigued by him. He looks so smug, and his subordinate (the one we know at least) is the most morally questionable on the Nohr side.

I think he'll be arrogant and a bit ruthless, but judging by his quotes and cutscenes he's still loyal to his siblings and considers Kamui one of them.

On the flip-side, of the Nohr siblings he'll be the one least likely to have trouble actually fighting Kamui. (same goes for Takumi on the Hoshido side)

  7. I'd really love to have more choices beyond just the big one.

But let's be real, Fire Emblem never really had that many story changing stories, so I am trying not to get my hopes up.

There might be some minor choices along the way that affect a bit of dialgoue, but it certainly isn't going to reach Dragon Age levels.

  8. The older brothers seem both equally great to (please don't make me kill them)

With the elder sisters I tend more towards Camilla, even though I have issues with her design. Tomboys aren't really my thing.

The younger bros seem both to have a more conflicted personality (Takumi is cynical while Leon gives off a bit more moral questionabilty). I am sure they are both likeable once we really get to know them.

Sakura reminds me of a friend from kindergarten, so I choose her. Don't have any issue with Elise though.

  9. The only fire emblem character I've ever had the must kill instinct with is severa (Sorry luna but you wont live long)

I have a higher tolerance for tsundere characters than most people. Severa was far from being my favourite character, but she was bearable.

The one character who came closest to making me want to kill them was definately Nowi.

I paired her up with Ricken and then never used her again.

  10. My problem with Camilla's design are not the big breasts or exposed thighs by themselves. It's the combination. They wanted their cake and eat it too.

If she just had big exposed breasts OR thighs I would have rolled my eyes a bit and moved on. But both of these make her look more like a stripper than a princess, blatant nerdbait.

That said I do focus more on a unit's personality so I don't really hate her (from what we know she actually sounds interesting), and her dialogue portrait looks good.

Charlotte's breasts look hilariously fake, but other than that I don't think she's too bad.

Once I am playing the game I can form honest opinions on them, but I have yet to find a character in a Fire Emblem game i actually wanted to kill.

  11. I think they'll go with the "for peace and harmony" reasoning of working together.

But there's no doubt they'll be trying to push (Male)Kamui x Aqua as the main pairing, just like they did with Chrom x Sumia/Fem!Avatar over the other choices.

Personally, I'd prefer there wouldn't be an 'obvious' pairing from the beginning but eh..I'll live.

  12. For me it's:

Hard (the only choice for me.)

Classic (anything else just doesn't feel like Fire Emblem)

Reset (No one gets left behind)

Grinding: Hell yes ( In the sense that I like having all members of my army be viable choices for the final boss. Also I want to see all the supports)

    Hoshido

Then the second time will be:

Hard/Normal (Depends on how frustrating it becomes, but I think I'll be fine)

    Classic (Duh)

    Reset (Same reason as above)

    Grinding: Not an option

    Nohr
