Yeah sorry it took so long, there’s now every profile I think I except dimitris, which was never posted. Leakermis sitll playing, expect more stuff within the next few hours

Dimitri's is posted now, but the quality is actual ass:

1176: Sole survivor of the Tragedy of Duscur

1178: Serves as a distinguished commander in the suppression of a western Kingdom rebellion

1180: Enrolls at the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach

I’ll try to ignore his voice for the most part if it’s really him.

And yeah, from what I’ve heard about him, he should have announced himself as male Byleth already just for the glory, but he’s suspiciously silent. He even congratulated another VA for a Three Houses role. This is really weird, unless Nintendo told him to keep shut about it.

^This is honestly the one thing that is keeping me doubting that M!Byleth is Chris. Based off of everything I hear and what I've seen, he'd probably shout about this role from the rooftops as soon as he was given the chance. The second Octopath was released, he personally came onto the subreddit to announce his role as Therion and give the list of every other VA, including listing who else voiced the main 8 travelers. Unless Nintendo intervened, it honestly feels like he would've been one of the first VAs to announce his role.

But I'll admit, I hear nothing but Therion when I heard that M!Byleth crit. Either way, we'll see when the Heroes update comes out tonight.

Interesting how they worded it as "Jeralt vanishes." Maybe it was just me, but I was always under the assumption he just resigned?

Looks like Dad knew he was getting himself involved with things he really shouldn't have/things that went against the Church in some way. I guess his wife could've been the reason, but there's the fact that she's buried on monastery grounds...

  4. Hoo boy, this review sure didn't help in making my hype more manageable. I'm pretty sure I'm firmly in the "I won't rest until this game is in my hands" camp now.

But beside that, this review completely quashed most of the small concerns/curiosities I had left. Good story, fun to play, meaningful decisions, New Game+ (the only way I'd be okay with a 4th route if it exists), and character development. The news about difficulty is slightly disappointing, but I was planning on starting on Hard anyways, so no big deal I guess.

Also is it just me, or is Mercedes clearly referring to Jeritza in her screenshot? I know that there was speculation that the two were related,  but it seems the game itself is also going out of its way to suggest the possibility. If the game's doing that, it's probably going to end up being a major plot point...

    Spoiler

...and makes me think he's the one the article was referring to when talking about and "unavoidable character death." Helps that Jeritza is seemingly painted as this random other instructor within the school so getting to know him is entirely optional.

Man, if that's true, Blue Lions really is the house of family drama.

  5. I don't think anything too major showed up, but there were some new tibits I noticed:

    • Unique dialogue can occur between dining partners Ferdinand stop harassing Edelgard
    • We get to hear clear audio of Annette's voice and get a glimpse of her stats
    • We see the Minor Crest of Dominic activate. Didn't augment the damage in that particular round of combat, and I didn't notice any other effects it had in battle, so no clue what it does at all

Something else I want to add as to why I think the game will be longer than the majority of past FEs, is weapon and skill ranks. Because each rank has a + and - Rank, that makes you required to gain THREE TIMES, the amount of rankings as oppose to older FEs. You'll need sufficient time to feasibly hit S+ rank.

I believe you're underestimating how fast weapon rank will develop in this game.

Weapon rank develops not only in battle, but through one-on-one tutoring and on its own through student goals. All of the factors together means that weapon EXP can accumulate rather quickly when prioritizing one or two weapons.

Also, there's a good post on Reddit analyzing weapon rank growth based on knowledge gleaned from Famitsu and gameplay footage. According to it, getting to a hypothetical S-rank with only 24 chapters (or 24 months of progress) is completely feasible even with minimum estimates.

Effie in Conquest was probably one of the most reliable knights in the game and probably the series overall with Wary Fighter. Knights not having that really put them in the dumps.

But that was more because Effie herself was busted as a unit thanks to her ludicrous strength and personal skill, not the class. If you were to completely optimize Effie, you wouldn't go General at all, you'd go Great Knight because unlike Generals, they can actually move decently.

When it comes to praising knights in Fates, Effie's pretty much the only one. You hardly see such praise for fellow knights Benny and Ignatius.

    Personal skills and Crests:

Well... this throws a big wrench into everything we assumed about crests. It appears that if the crest was from a saint, the name will not appear on the map, which I guess technically is consistent with what we know (that only crests from the Ten Heroes have their names on the map), but Ramiin and Caron don't appear on the map at all.

I don't see anything similar to Caron on the map, but is it possible that Ramiin is Remire?

Also it's strange how Felix continues to be the only student running around with a major crest.

I mean, the names aren't spoilers anymore, they're spelled out in this image: https://www.famitsu.com/images/000/176/738/z_5ce7920eba0a3.jpg

What may or may not have been leaked about them is of course not for this thread, and I'll not be mentioning it.

Oh yeah, guess I just had a massive brainfart right there, sorry about that >.<

Also, does anyone have an idea what the class the three lords are shown in is? I thought it was their canon second tier based on the way they presented it, but the preferred weapons are the same for all three and don't match up to Edelguard's and Claude's prefered weapons of the axe and bow.

Mercedes doesn’t have a last name revealed. If she did, it could be any of the untaken last names in the Adrestian Empire or she could take up another last name to conceal the fact that she’s a possible crest bearer. Which I think is super interesting. o:

Actually, her last name has been revealed. It's "Maltritz" or something similar, and there's nothing really similar to that on the map.

EDIT: Whelp I got ninja'd. Even though she's an Adrestian raised in Faerghus, there's a good chance that Maltritz is her birth surname. If she had changed it upon arriving at Faerghus to hide her identity, there's no reason for her to keep the "von" in her name, as that's a giant red flag saying "Hey, I'm Adrestian/not from Faerghus!" which seems pretty counter intuitive if she was trying to hide.

In addition, when asked if they were the same person on gamefaqs they lied:
    https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/204445-fire-emblem-three-houses/77716670/921964988
...Even though they still have their FEH account linked and bared to the world.

Seeing this reminded me of some random post on the Reddit AMA , so I went back and checked. And weirdly enough, Thanibomb seemed to completely admit to the fact that they were MissCarriage on the thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/bovt8v/three_houses_spoiler_thread/enldcqs/

    Quote

"Hey MissCarriage, it's Nova. Thanks a lot for posting this! [...]" - Another user

    "No problem! [...]" - Thanibomb

I don't know if this means anything or not, but it's strange how they denied it on one site but confirmed it on another. Maybe they denied it on gamefaqs because the "leak" was under greater scrutiny there and he didn't want to be tied to the whole situation?

Regardless, I'll have to agree with what others said. While the stuff Thani was hyping about on gamefaqs could easily be his own personal ideas that he later incorporated into the "leak" (and his tone during those moments definitely helps this argument), there's no way to prove that at the same time he wasn't just acting excited from information he knew from the source.

Really, I don't think there's going to be any concrete way for us to prove or disprove this leak until actual facts start coming out that actively contradict the leak. It seems like every argument for the leak can be taken and construed as a argument against it and vice versa.

  12. 7 hours ago, SageOfAnys said:

I asked if Thanibomb could PM me the supposed proof they have. Apparently they'll respond in 5-6 hours when they get off of work, so we'll see what happens when the time arrives.

Don't know if anyone still cares about this but might as well update this situation.

Thanibomb has stated that they will only share their proof with "people [he trusts] or well respected members of the community" due to people sharing personal aspects of the proof on places such as Discord.

Of course, he could be telling the truth, or he could be 100% lying and using this to cover the fact that no proof exists at all. A few people who have claimed to have seen proof seem to believe it's genuine, but since I have no way to tell, I'm just going to remain skeptical about this whole leak. It sounds great and some aspects seem plausible, but at the end of the day it really does feel too good to be true.

  13. Someone on the fe subreddit has compiled pretty much everything Thanibomb has said so far, so here' s the link so people don't have to dive through 1000+ comments in the thread just to catch up: https://old.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/bp3km3/thanibomb_three_houses_rumors_summarycompilation/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Like other people on this thread have said, remember to take everything from here with a MASSIVE grain of salt. There are many points along this "leak chain" where false information could have been given, and even if this information is 100% legit, it was taken from an early build of the game. Things can change and informants can be wrong/give false information.

I should probably stop procrastinating now and study for finals >.>

I'm working on compiling the Crests and their owners on the Seiros Mural to give an organized way to view everything. This is what I have so far.

Also, if Crests are supposed to be passed down via bloodlines, then does that mean that Byleth is a descendant of this King Nemesis character? Or is Nemesis related to Sothis?

I believe Felix has the major crest of Fraldarius.

Also, if crests are anything like holy blood/brands, than they are likely symbols of some sort of previous blood pact. It's possible that Nemesis made a blood pact with Sothis, bestowing him the ??? crest. Byleth ended up inheriting it due to being a descendant of Nemesis, and this might also be why he can see Sothis and no one else can?

Sorry it took so long; I ended up spending 5 or so hours on this.

But if you want everything in one place, here ya go.

Thank you for compiling all the information!

It looks like not only do students from crest-bearing houses have surnames on the map, but the crests shown for House Leicester match up with those in the "Leicester's 4 Crests" theory. Honestly, I'm actually pretty giddy at how well everything is lining up, hopefully these patterns keep up!

  16. HNNNNNNNNNG. I want that Dimitri. I want that Dimitri SO BAD. I was going with Blue Lions to begin with, but if this is true, this just solidifies my choice 100%.

But yeah, I'm a bit on the skeptical side. I doubt /u/Thanibomb has malicious intent here, and based on their post history, it seems they were aware of most of the info they're talking about for quite some time. And part with 3H being a spiritual successor to FE4 makes sense too considering the info we've received from Famitsu this week, which also makes me more inclined to believe timeskips, a darker storyline, actual character deaths and tragedy, etc. The pieces for everything that they've said regarding plot are technically all there, it's really whether we believe IS is competent enough to write and execute something well with those pieces after the train wreck that was Fates.

But at the same time, I can't help but feel that some of this info feels too good to be true.If it's false, I'm leaning more on the side that they were fed false information that they believed was correct.

As a side note, I asked if Thanibomb could PM me the supposed proof they have. Apparently they'll respond in 5-6 hours when they get off of work, so we'll see what happens when the time arrives.

  17. 5 minutes ago, SatsumaFSoysoy said:

The main difference is that Crests might not manifest even if you have the bloodline, I think?

Hmm, so a hybrid of Awakening's brands and FE4's holy blood then? Sounds interesting. Hopefully they actually implement the whole major/minor crest deal properly into the story. From not all major houses having crests, to crests being major or minor, to crests not even being a guaranteed inheritance, there are a lot of factors in Fodlan that can greatly affect the power dynamics within each country. Honestly, the more I theorize, the more 3H's story sounds like an FE4 2.0.
