Huh... I could have sworn dlcs weren't allowed to have higher rating than the base game... Might have confused with another rating system or simply I am plain wrong, oh well. True there is sex everywhere in the media today but yet somehow the stagnation is still there especially in movies and video games. As Hardin said there is a magic line on how much skin you are allowed to show before it warrants a higher rating. Some tries to push it others don't. As for the Japanese change, it was a while but I'm pretty sure it was one of the main reason for the edit. There could be other factors but I don't know how the CERO rating works compared to PEGI and ESRB.

TMS #FE in Japan has the Cero B rating which is a Teen rating (PEGI 12 for EU). The game is made for teens as its target audience so one can ask oneself why should NA have a higher rating compared the other regions? They simply don't market the game for mature hardcore audience. Sadly when it comes to ratings between the different regions there is a serious case of value dissonance where it's widely known that NA frown down upon sex and nudity where in EU and JAP don't. In turn in JAP they censor the violence instead. And yet as you pointed out when it comes to ESRB they are very inconsistent when it comes to rating and nudity in games with Teen rating. All we can do is roll our eyes and sigh in disappointment. Our only comfort is the game got an international release in the first place and all the changes that have been made are only cosmetic. In case you didn't know even the Japanese release of TMS #FE had their share of some modified costumes, or to others censoring, to fit the Cero B rating. Prime example is Kiria intro concert where originally she wore battle panties while the release there were pants instead. IIRC it had something it conflicted with another game rating that had All-ages rating that shared one of the songs. Sadly DLCs are not allowed to have higher rating than the base game. If they do then they have to change the base game rating too.

I mainly spoke in a general sense. With a simple google search you will find many articles and statistic with visual graph even concerning video game rating and sales. You'll quickly find that most games have E to T rating and it's here the most sustainable revenue comes from, thanks to the causal audience. Heck, look no further than ESRB own website. However, it's true it depends on the games genre and audience and most recent sales records comes from M rated games but the fact still remains that less people buy and play M rated games. Lets us not also forget Fate a T rated sold like a hot cake and broke a new record too.

Sadly if you look from the perspective from a sales analytic T rating just sell better compared to M rating, generally speaking. So understanding their perspective having M rating will hurt your sales.

From my understanding from his arguments of those extra features why they are worthless is to reach those consumers that are interested in amiibos and the 3D gimmicks and saying while they are here but not worth you time. Interesting there're Italian reviews up too? As for the scores I see it will be very similar how NA reviews scores for fates so far. Mainly in the 8-9/10 range For me I feel they are inconsistent in their news and review department. There are a couple that write good fair reviews but sadly they are few and far between from the rest. Can't be helped when it comes to Nintendo Gamereactor is slow and handles the news coverage very badly compared to M$, PS and PC...

Looks like review copies are out for several EU game reviews. To my surprise I see Gamereactor SWE already has review up and only one I know off, for now. The reviewer gave an 8/10 and he played both paths Bithright and Conquest. What I didn't like about the review he mainly wrote in broad general terms and rarely went into details, both on gameplay and story. I'll provide some points that I found interesting as I read the review: The reviewer hilariously mixed both versions up through out the review. He said Corrins blood related family is the Conquest version and siding with the adoptive family is the Birthright version. He also said Bithright is the harder version when it's Conquest. Praised the gameplay for its variety, depth and length, there is also several praise for its presentation and My Castle. He was very pleased with the challenge the game presented to him, especially Conquest. His cons are "uninspired story", some of the characters were flat, the 3D effect was annoying and worthless along the Amiibo function. Honestly this is a badly written review in my book and a rushed one in the way how he writes the review. He wrote far to broadly and loosely terms and the worst offender was to mix the both versions up. He did say he thinks the version work similar how Zelda Oracle games are not like the Pokemon games. Gamereactor ENG have Final Impression and played about two hours of the game if anyone is interested reading that. Hopefully their review will be better written than the Swedish one and I'm interested what other EU reviewers have to say about Fates.

Oh someone already scanned Conquest Anthology? Then it means none have taken the interest to translate it then. I noticed about Hoshido Anthology, which is why I haven't bought that copy for myself yet. Well I haven't started scanning it yet. May is a busy month for me so my actually plans was to start scanning in June but wanted to see if others were interested first.

Sup FB forums, After seeing Kirokan doing Fates 4-Koma and the other 4-Komas and with the release of Revelation comic anthology made me want to at least try and go ahead and scanlate the manga. So I went ahead and bought both Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Revelation Anthology seeing neither been scanlated. Now I'm completely noob at this since I have never done scanlation work before leecher FTW right? and I can't read a lick of Japanese so I can't do any translations. However, I'll try and can scan the pages with my old scanner and do the cleaning and all the other fun stuff. So I'm pretty much looking for a translator that can help me or heck any help at all will be helpful. Since this isn't probably the best place I'll also go and check at proper scanlation requirement stuff on other sites. I thought I'll start here first and check what people think of this and if anyone is interested in my little project. Looks at Kirokan with puppy eyes

Two days after EU release eh? Time to build false hope there will be international release announcement as a surprise.

Looks good from what I can tell. I'll just point out it might be better to change "Since its release last summer" to "Since its release of summer 2015" or something in case a new player joins starting next year or further down the line, to avoid possible dated information. Now where is that international release Nintendo! It's a gold mine waiting to be used!

This have been discussed to death... There isn't any canon pairings in this game! HOWEVER! Sumia and Female Robin with Chrom DO get most ship tease moments compared to any other ship in this game, but don't forget that it doesn't make them canon just for that.

When it comes to DLCs you can do them in any order and whenever you want after outrealms becomes available. Only thing really worth noting is the Future Past DLCs should be done late to end game due to spoiler reasons.

Actually this kind of stuff is common practise for years, if not decades, yet people still screams as if it was the end of the world. As long there won't be another Soleil type of incident it won't escalate. There is also the fact that TMS #FE is a polarising game to begin with, which can seen as its blessing and curse. Despite the change the story is still unaffected by it. Which people seems to forget or ignore...

Meh from the looks of it only slight costumes changes. While it's annoying, I won't be bothered by it when I'll play the game. As long they don't another Indian -> Cowboy change like in Bravely Second. Another thing that I can think of why they have aged the characters up is to avoid the implications of child labour or something similar thereof, which is illegal many parts of the western world. Mainly you're not allowed to sign any kind of contract without a guardians approval. Does anyone know why what grudge Nintendo have on bikinis? Since that seems like always getting axed or changed. I mean Samus probably was one of the first female characters in a bikini in a video game back in the day. A Nintendo game no less too.

I would suggest go through Assassin or Griffon Rider for skills at least. Then reclass to your final class

Suspected as much. Well so far that I have seen from the the trailers and talks on the forums there will only be some costume alternations to make some outfits less skimpy and some bikinis/swimsuits are getting the axe. I haven't seen or heard anything else that will be affected. I wonder what grudge NoA have on bikinis. Personally I have nothing against if it's just that. Other than I'm tired of people still bitching about just anything that got touched upon.
