[How to balance Galeforce]

Just giving galeforce an activation rate (speed% might work) makes it useful but unreliable and is simple for the player to understand

Something I always wondered how is Bishop Rhys's weapon ranks transfered considering this weapon rank in FE9 is both light magic and staff.

Except I'm gonna say it more bluntly:

People want to rub it in their friends' faces how good they are at a single player game.

I'd chalk it up more to game design problem, if the game designers didn't plan for the game to have multiplayer, then don't give the players the min-max options that could only possibly matter in a multiplayer mode, it'd be like if pokemon didn't have a verus mode, but EVs, IVs, natures etc still existed.

Side Note: I still say that the only reason awakening didn't PvP have multiplayer is that 4 units in one battle would cause lag.

Awakening DID have live multiplayer.

It's called Dual Tag/Double Duel.

You know, there's nothing wrong with wanting multiplayer. But with the way you're voicing it, you have your own set of standards that you won't be happy with.

Double Duel is multiplayer. It fulfills the need of "multiplayer".

Think the reason people wanted awakening to have a competitive multiplayer mode is because a lot of the game systems (infite level grinding, limit selection reclassing, character spefic caps, skills attached to class, and espically inheritance) seem tailor made for build optimization, but considering that overall you never to have optimal units, (even Apothesis secret route doesn't require to much opitmizaton), it makes all that build optimization seem pointless, a competitive multiplayer mode with a metagame would have been the only real way to let all that optimization actually matter.

Side Note: I want someone to make a Java/Flash multiplier mode of Awakening (kind of like pokemon showdown) (I know it would be unbalanced but considering the mechanics I doubt it would be TOO centralized, and first turn advantage isn't a huge issue assuming the players start far enough away from each so that the first player can't reach the other player on the first turn, (which to be fair pretty freaking big consider the rescue staff)

[Possibility of a Japanese/Asian equivalent of staff?]

Considering her pose it's likely not a weapon, it might just be how Asain healing classes map spites shows staves. It might be alternative asain healing weapon type, or it could even be a support weapon type that doesn't heal but different things than staffs: Summoning, buffs, debuffs, status effects, who knows>

[Returning units from Awakening, possible?]

I could imagine this game having Amibo support, spotpass, dlc, or using the card game (with the 3DS camera) to unlock characters from prior games in the series (including/especially awakening) but not part of the main story

Ironically no gryphons ever appeared in harry potter,only the hippogriffs,who are similar creatures,but still different.

Even more ironically* is that apparently Pegasus do (they call just winged horse rather than pegasus though)

Status Effects (Silence, Poison, Sleep, Berserk), staves that inflict them, staves and items that cure them, and weapons that have a chance of inflicting them

Stat Boosts staves that boost something other than resistance

Monks, Light Magic, Bishops, Magic Triangle

Escape Maps/Defend Chapters etc.

Stealing Items from Enemies.

What's the ideal skill for a male avatar to pass to his daughters, I know the male exclusive skills aren't that great but it feels wierd not passing one down, (I'm the type of person that makes sure Olivia!Lucina gets Luck +4) (If it matters my avatar is B Luck/W Defense, and my wife is sully, I know those are far from optimal but IDC) (Also I'm a grinder so long term skills over short term)
