  1. Ninja is good as a final class because Hidden Weapons are reliable 1-2 range weaponary. They have fairly low might and Ninjas have a low Str growth so you go +Str. Corrin can still use Yato as a Master Ninja too, and he gets the class bonuses. Corrin has base 45% Spd growth so he doesn't have trouble doubling, especially when you factor in Spd tonics, Rally Spd and pairup boosts.

  2. The person I talked to did say she hasn't played FE8 in a while and her skill level then could've been reflective of the difficulty she preceived EphHM to be. A couple of other responses I found from various players similar (maybe better) at my level said PoRHM as well.

Lunatic overall isn't as hard as Awakening's both Hoshi and Nohr from what I've heard.

Huh thanks for the info. I found Ephraim HM really easy (except The Ghost Ship level). Awakening Lunatic was easy (except Chapter 2 and 5 ofc). PORHM is easy too, BEXP is a thing. I guess I'll start with Lunatic for all 3 then. After that, I guess I'll do challenge runs like No Royals or do PMU's.

Edit: I recall someone saying Nohr Lunatic was about as hard as HHM. HHM is a pretty nice difficulty.

  3. If magical builds are so suboptimal on Lunatic Nohr, why are we discussing +mag Cavaliers and Dark Knights as the best MU builds? Don't we want to kill Ch25 Ryoma in one turn and not have to spend turns AND make our way through that nightmarish map (even if chapter 26 is much worse, but what can you do, you need a challenge sometime)?

I really like Orochi!Matoi. The 5% strength growth should also butcher Matoi's strength to a low enough level where it will be lower than the enemies' and add +4 damage to her magical attacks with the Shockstick.

Where do we know about pair up building speed from by the way?

I would imagine +Mag Cavalier saves tons of turns midgame. You have to realize that not all of us have efficiency in mind.

  4. So I'm a fan of 1-2 range. I don't LTC but I feel like it's invaluable for a unit to be able to ORKO at 1-2 range. Like I tried Ranger!Gerik in FE8. At first I was like; cool! Gerik has 1 more move! But then on EP, units would attack him at 1 range if he had a bow equipped and they would attack him at 2 range if he had a sword equipped. Made me wish I kept him as Hero for those handaxes.

Anyways, I feel like a heretic for saying this but, is Takumi really best as a Holy Bowman? He stays 2 range-locked, so its gonna be hard for him to contribute on EP. Idk if this is right or not but I'd rather be 1 range-locked on EP, so you can counter more things. Is GKW!Takmui better? E lances hurts tho.

Another idea I had was Puppeteer!Takumi (Marriage Seal w/ Kagerou). He keeps his bow rank and Fujin Bow access. Best part is he gets Kunai. Again, E rank hurts but maybe an Arms Scroll could work (Who else needs one? Izana maybe for his staff rank). It allows Takumi to use Iron Kunai forges on EP, and he can still use his bow. Not to mention, with Kagerou pairup, he's an 8 move unit that ignores terrain (kinda like a flier).

I definitely like the idea of Puppeteer!Takumi. Is it worth a shot?

  5. Not everyone's played the games yet, so it's really hard to pass judgment on who's good in terms of gameplay.Something like full stats/growths would help, but I have my own way of doing things. . .for example, my favorite Spotpass unit is Brom, hands down.

True, true. Well in that case, Mozu annoys me. She's just Donnel 2.0. I also hate Ricken 2.0. I find his arrogance hilarious tho, because he's an awful unit, on Hoshido at least.

Edit: I case you haven't noticed I hate a lot of the 2.0's. It annoys me that IS was too lazy to create new personalities for some characters. I'd take a character with a dumb gimmick over a clone. However, I understand it might be hard coming up with original characters in a series that has hundreds.

  6. Arthur is prone to those enemy crits so he's a problem. Selena is really good even on Lunatic. You just need to get her to level 5 Falco, but Rally Speed is so good on Nohr it's worth it. She can also rescue skip a few levels. She makes a great pairup bot for Xander, Leo and Silas too.

Edit: Benoit is outclassed by Xander, Leo and Flannel.

  7. What I'm about to post was originally a thread I started a little while ago. However, after Duke of Dozel directed me here, I decided to see if anyone here could help me out.

    For my first playthrough of Conquest (likely on Hard/Classic), I was wondering how practical it is to recruit all of the Children without abusing My Castle Support Grinding? I don't intend to use them all, but I do want to get all of the Paralogues to at least experience every character. These are the Pairings I intend to use;

    Male Corrin x Ophelia

    Azura x Arthur

    Jakob x Camilla

    Silas x Felicia

    Kaze x Mozu

    Niles x Beruka

    Odin x Elise

    Leo x Nyx

    Xander x Charlotte

    Benoit x Selena

    Flannel x Effie

    Lazward x Pieri

Since I plan on playing Birthright, Conquest and Revelation essentially back to back, I don't mind on missing out on certain Children. However, I'm just curious if there is a way to get everyone paired in a slightly efficient manner?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok so you are gonna need to drop a few pairs considering you have 24 characters listed here. It's gonna be hard to train all the characters without grinding, which Conquest doesn't offer unless you have the DLC. You'll be spreading the exp too thin. Keep the chapter deployment limits in mind. I say a team of 14-16 should be good. Also keep in mind pairing Azura and Elise is gonna be difficult, as they are will be healing/dancing a bunch of different units. It's best to leave them unpaired.

Edit: I just realized you want all the chapters. Hmm, it might be possible if you use children paralouge to train other pairs, but I believe paralouge scale in terms of difficulty, so it can become extremely difficult.

  8. I mean, assuming you aren't grinding, you can make a tier list. But unit balanced is pretty good in Birthright and Conquest, so a tier list isn't too important. Nothing like the GBA games where some characters were absolutely useless.

  9. Yea I was wondering; is it bad to have too many pairup bots? Like I was planning of training 6 units and each would have a pairup bot with them. It's probably a waste of exp/deployment slots and it might make things harder with having fewer units.

  10. Tbh OP you have so many "or" options that it's kinda hard to help. Like Great Lord or Witch? Ones a magical class that wants +Mag and the other is a physical class that would like +Str. Unless you want advice for every single class, but that a lot of work.

Also, you didn't specify whether these are for multiplayer or main story (grind or no grind)

  11. Man I really want to give Shura Rinka to Ryoma but those 6 levels seem like they would be a pain.

Actually, Savage Rinka is probably good enough. You only get +1 str and +1 spd boosts if she's promoted. Maybe she can get the levels through dual guarding? Lol probably not.

Oh yea about your MU, I wouldn't go Nohr Prince --> White Blood --> Dark Knight. I'd reclass as soon as you're a level 10 Prince and have access to a spell (Rat God i think?). You want to work on Kamui's weapon ranks near the start rather than the end. White Blood's skills are meh anyways.

Sakura can be dropped pretty easy if you dont want to use her. But I think she could make a great flying healer/rally speed bot.
